The Torah teaches that we should forever remember what Amalek did to the children of Israel in the desert. Furthermore, the Torah commands us to wipe this evil off the face of the earth.
Remember what Amalek did to you on the way as you came out of Egypt, how he attacked you on the way when you were faint and weary, and cut off your tail, those who were lagging behind you, and he did not fear God. Therefore when the Lord your God has given you rest from all your enemies around you, in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance to possess, you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven; you shall not forget.
What was Amalek’s great evil?
They attacked the stragglers, the oldest and the youngest, the lame and the blind, those who were in the rear as the Jews marched through the desert on their way to the promised homeland, the Land of Israel.
Amalek is still with us.
They still murder the weak and the defenseless.
Amalek are the Islamic terrorists.
We must remember the evil of 9-11.
And we must eradicate the IslamoNazis—modern Amalek—from the face of the earth.
If not, our children and grandchildren will be murdered in cold blood just as the innocent victims of 9-11 were slaughtered.
And let us not forget the joy displayed by the Arabs of East Jerusalem as word of the 9-11 attacks spread.
Israel is the only country outside America that memorializes the victims of the Islamist terrorism that struck the homeland. Inscribed are the names of all those innocents who were murdered on 9/11. This memorial park reflects the shared values of America and Israel. As the Muslim world celebrated this atrocity, Israel and the Jewish people stood in empathy and solidarity with the United States.
