No expressions of outrage from Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson.
The reasoning is simple and simple-minded: according to liberal gospel blacks cannot be racists, only victims. And besides, the victim’s ancestors were probably slave holders so it’s, y’know, karma. Witness social justice in all its glory.
MOBILE, Alabama (WKRG) — Mobile police need your help to catch a mob that beat Matthew Owens so badly that he’s in critical condition.
According to police, Owens fussed at some kids playing basketball in the middle of Delmar Drive about 8:30 Saturday night. They say the kids left and a group of adults returned, armed with everything but the kitchen sink.
Police tell News 5 the suspects used chairs, pipes and paint cans to beat Owens.
Owens’ sister, Ashley Parker, saw the attack. “It was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed.” Parker says 20 people, all African American, attacked her brother on the front porch of his home, using “brass buckles, paint cans and anything they could get their hands on.”
Police will only say “multiple people” are involved.
What Parker says happened next could make the fallout from the brutal beating even worse. As the attackers walked away, leaving Owen bleeding on the ground, Parker says one of them said “Now thats justice for Trayvon.” Trayvon Martin is the unarmed teenager police say was shot and killed February 26 by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman in Samford, Florida.
This is turning into a pattern.

I wrote a letter to my congressman demanding Holder be replaced. He didn’t even deign to answer. That’s going to cost him my vote in November, but the sad truth is that due to gerrymandering and accurate poll data the House of Representatives is an aristocracy whose members choose their constituents, not the other way ’round.

Obama and the best race hustlers (cough–Al Sharpton–cough) know that black on white crime and especially black on black crime far outweighs white on black crime. Despite what Obama and the best race hustlers (ahem–Al Shqrpton-ahem) would have you believe, blacks are not being lynched anymore.
Bill is right that this case has probably been pushed to sympathetic fools at CNN and MSNBC and the tools like Tommy Christopher. They thought they had a victim everyone would sympathize with and an evil Bull Connor wannabe.
I understand why the best race hustlers (umm-Al Sharpton-umm) got involved but didn’t our Harvard law grad and law instructor in the White House and supposedly the smartest president ever learn anything from commenting on the Gates arrest?

It almost seems that someone has spread the word that, as long as someone claims “justice for trayvon,” anything goes and there will be no repercussions.
And I say that because, frankly, the perpetrators don’t seem smart or aware enough to try that tack on their own; nor do they seem to be the type to stay current on the news of the day.
I firmly believe that someone, somewhere, is responsible for this rash of “justice for trayvon” crime. And, I also believe that people are going to tire of this sort of nonsense and start fighting back. (Which, of course, plays right into the obama/holder plans for our future)

Solaratov – Call me cynical but after learning about the background of the Cindy Sheehan case – where the mother who lost her son in Iraq then went on a public quest to harass George Bush – I learned that it was a San Francisco P.R. firm who was guiding this.
The public campaign of this Martin case – is just too slick to be grass roots – showing a picture of him when he really was innocent (how many years ago?) instead of as he was, no viewing of the police report nor of Zimmerman’s head (until a few days ago – this whole thing is begin guided by external forces I suspect.
If the story as I have heard is true – that Zimmerman tried to walk way and Martin attacked him – telling him he was going to die while smashing his head on the pavement – well, the police chief was right in justifying this.
The key is whether Zimmerman tried to leave or stayed there to provoke it. He probably instigated the confrontation by questioning Martin (which by all accounts was just leaving a store) – that didn’t show good judgement.
Of course unless Zimmerman is found guilty (how is that for a fair and impartial trial) there will be more trouble.

No. It didn’t take place at a store. Trayvon had ‘supposedly’ gone to the 7-11 but the incident occurred in the gated community where Zimmermann was the captain of the neighborhood watch.

That was a chilling story Robert – I can still visualize you & your family in that theater. Everyone should have a firearm and be reasonably competent in using it.

i certainly hope that cooler heads will prevail – I suspect that a majority of whites and blacks simply want to go about their lives without hassle.

I have sent an email to Chris Matthews of MSNBC and to Charles Blow of the NYT containing the video report of this crime. Eternal optimist, I know. Further, if any rioting results from a verdict viewed unfavorably, Sharpton has got to be held responsible. He really ought to be arrested if trouble ensues. Insofar as this poor man in Mobile goes, how much more of this stuff will be tolerated?

The groundwork is being laid by the race hustlers for an outbreak of race riots. If Zimmerman is not hung, there will be blood in the streets.
