Celia is Concentrating

My novel, The Hebrew Kid and the Apache Maiden, has finally been reviewed in a magazine that is devoted to the Wild West. Round Up Magazine is one of the premiere western literary publications in America. They devote a good deal of space to fiction and it's a pleasure to receive such a nice notice from people outside the Jewish world.

Another nice notice I've received is from my wonderful mother-in-law, Celia, who is here in LA with Karen's father, visiting with us for a while. She's finally had the opportunity to sit down and read my book, and oh my, she loves it. When I ask her what she's up to, she says: "Sshh, I'm concentrating! I just love every word." Big sigh of relief. I have to admit it, I was on shpilkes, afraid my mother-in-law would not care for it.

Nearing the end of the story, Celia says to me over the Shabbos table: "Robert, I just can't imagine how you're going to end the story--I mean, what's going to happen?"
"Want me to tell you?" I love teasing my mother-in-law.
"No! Don't you dare!"

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

1. No profanity.

2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.
