Seraphic Confirmation

I have not written about the UN for one simple reason: I believe it is a gallery of rogues, a forum where corrupt sheiks and the most noxious humans rights violators on the face of this earth are given legitimacy. Kofi Annan and his son should be jailed for flagrant corruption. The oil-for food scandal involves billions upon billions of dollars and in any normal scenario would bring about the complete collapse of the governing body responsible. But in the morally confused world of the UN, where Sudan and Libya get to chair the Human Rights Commission--well, it's just business as usual.

Which brings me to tommorow's confirmation vote for John Bolton as President Bush's choice for U.S. representative to the UN. The Democrats have embarked upon a relentless assault on this goood man, a campaign of character assasination the likes of which I have not seen since, well, since every day and the attacks they launch upon President Bush.

For Jews and all lovers of Zion you need know only one thing about John Bolton: In 1991, when serving as Assistant Secratary of State, Mr. Bolton succeeded in getting the UN General Assembly to abandon its vile, anti-Semitic doctrine equating Zionism with racism. This took courage and great diplomatic skill.

Understand, I despise the UN. I believe that the UN should be burned to the ground, the earth salted, and the area turned into a synagogue. But that's not going to happen, bad habits die hard, and so, in the meantime, if you care about decency, you must support Bolton's confirmation. And if he is rejected, you must make the politicians responsible pay. Meaning, if you are one of those Jews who still habitually votes for the Democrats, well, if this doesn't make you switch parties--what will? For if the Democrats win in this battle, it will signal a victory for those who hate Israel.

As I write this the link tab is not working on Movable Type, hence the not-link above. I'll try and get it fixed later. In the meantime, just copy and paste.

UPDATE: Link fixed.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

1. No profanity.

2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.
