The Truth About Lies
One of the more insidious tactics used by the Arabs in their slow motion effort to destroy Israel is lying about history, Jewish history specifically. Since the Jewish claim to Israel is based on historical fact, the Arabs have mounted an assault on truth itself--an old and trust-worthy tactic used by generations of anti-Semites.
For instance. The Western Wall, as we all know, is the wall of the Holy Temple courtyard. Ongoing underground excavations continuously reveal more of the actual structure. If the Arabs admit that we did indeed have a Temple, well, then they have to admit that Jews have a legitimate historical and religious claim to the Land of Israel. So what do the Arabs do? What they always do when faced with truth: they lie. I'll never forget the Six Day War, even as the Egyptian Army was being utterly destroyed, Arab radio reported that their glorious troops were on the outskirts of Tel-Aviv.
And so, a major tactic used by the PA against Jews and Israel is its claim that the Temple was never built on the Temple Mount. Palestinian Media Watch details many examples of this phenomenon, such as the following from PA Television on Aug. 2, 2004:
[Moderator Mohammed] Albaz: "Where did the story of Solomon’s Temple come from?"
Al-Qidwa: "Solomon’s Temple, I believe, was built by the Canaanites who were the neighbors of the Israelis, the Israelites... I want to state several words clearly: the Bible became an archival document, not representing what the Israelis and the first Jews were, but what they thought they were, what they imagined. The Temple is the fruit of their imagination. In any case, when our nation or our Canaanite forefathers came to Palestine, they built the Temple… a temple in Jerusalem"
Sissalem: "We, as the Palestinian nation fighting for its freedom and liberation, must not focus to much attention on these false [Biblical] legends. The history of our land continues more than ten thousand years. The land of battles and wars, [many] armies, tribes and commanders came through. I want to point out that we should not focus much on what is called the [Biblical] Hebrew tribes, who are in fact Bedouin – Arab tribes. There is no connection between them and these Khazar Jews [of Israel today]. Those [Hebrew - Arab] tribes were erased and ceased to exist and no traces were left of them… That group did not have a pure religion. They claimed that Solomon, may he rest in peace, built the Temple. Does the land testify to this? Solomon was a prophet and we see him as a Muslim and part of our [Islamic] heritage… There is no historical text that proves the existence [of the temple] or that it has a real history other than the Bible, and the Bible as we have previously mentioned… was written based on ancient legends.
"These [the Hebrew prophets of the Bible] are part of our [Muslim] heritage. They have no connection to the Imperialistic – Settlement Jews [Israelis] and nor to those that were destroyed."
This is typical of Arab "intellectuals." Let's not forget that the current PA Prime Minister received his doctorate for a thesis that denied the Holocaust. Intellectual standards in Arab universities are non-existent.
What's more insidious however is that this Orwellian thought has made its way into the American Mainline Media. Let's be honest: Leftists are not terribly choosy where their anti-Israeli information comes from.
Just a few days ago, CNN's report on Mrs. Bush's visit the the Kotel, described the Temple Mount as follows:
"The site she visited on Sunday is Islam's third-holiest, and is built on a hill in Jerusalem known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as the Haram al-Sharif -- or the Noble Sanctuary. The hill also is believed to contain the ruins of Judaism's holiest temple."
As any Yeshiva student knows, the site is Judaism's first-holiest site, where the Bayit Ha-Rishon, the First Temple, was built by King Solomon and destroyed in the year 586 B.C.E., and where the Second Temple stood from approximately 70 years later until the year 68 C.E.
CNN is a hollow and corrupt anti-Israeli organ, but millions of people around the world accept its voice as a legitimate news source. That Arab propaganda has permeated its thinking so thoroughly is truly alarming.
Liberals dismiss these and other Arab lies as "minor or unimportant." But in truth, the Arab assault on truth goes to the heart of the conflict and to the Jewish claim on Eretz Yisroel. And so while those in university "Peace Studies" departments celebrate multi-culturalism, they willfully deny that different cultures can, and do think differently. The multi-culturalists desperately want to reduce culture to colorful robes and fashionable head coverings. But we who have studied and seen Arab culture up close, we who actually believe what the Arabs say, know that they are of an entirely different mind-set, a world-view where lies and genocidal impulses are a celebrated part of life. A world-view where lies about Jewish history and beheadings of Jews and other so-called infidels is not only accepted, but celebrated.

Comments
Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.
1. No profanity.2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism. That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.
Thanks for the info on CNN's reporting of Laura Bush's visit to the Kotel. We cannot be complacent and accept these Arab lies that permeate the news. I wrote to CNN with my complaint echoing your article.

Well! If the Palestinians were or are direct descendants of the defunct Canaanites then they are not really descendants of Abraham etc. and their Koran is as false as today's Arab fantasies.
Arab! Make your minds up which way you lie!
