Interviewed, Sort Of

I've had a cold the past few days and then yesterday I got hit with category five migraine. Not a good time to have an hour long radio interview, but I made a promise to the Mike Rosen Show in Denver and I just sat down at my desk and kind of toughed my way through it.

I have to admit that I don't really remember very much. I wasn't under any medication, just intense pain, which has a tendency to mask everything else. I do remember being very careful with what I was saying. The focus of the interview was, naturally, my article, Help, I'm a Hollywood Republican.

Anyway, by the time the hour was up, I was drenched in sweat, trembling uncontrollably, and I just crawled into bed and blanked out. The whole thing seems like a dream. I hope I didn't say anything really stupid.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

1. No profanity.

2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

Just read your article and thought it was great. It seems to me that the nominally Jewish executives in Hollywood are so arrogant that they think they would somehow be spared by an Osama-type. I believe they hate themselves and hate their country. Keep up the good fight. As a gentile I am a proud supporter of Israel. She is the light of freedom in a region littered with despots.

Robert:

I just read your article about your son. A fine young man. God Bless you.

I also read, "Help! I'm a Hollywood Republican"...What a great peice. I too grew up in a liberal home. My dad marched with C. Chavez and J. Biaz. I was there. My conversion to the Lord made me think about how wrong the left is on so many issues. It is conforting to know you are in films. Can you imigine any culture surviving when the 'storey tellers' hate their own culture? So too, the left hates our culture.

I am sure that you did just fine. I hope you feel better soon.

My sister gets intense multi-day migraines, and has done so since she was a child. I was never terribly sympathetic until (as an adult) I started getting occasional migraines myself. Mine are infrequent (two or three times a year) and short lasting (four or five hours, usually) but are quite intense, but once I had experienced a migraine or two myself I was suddenly extremely sympathetic to my sister.

Mike Hanley:

Thanks so much for your support of Israel. The frindship between Jews and Christians is vital.

Bill Miller:

Thanks for your words of support. Hollywood's a funny place. You never know when it will turn around.

I've been having some of those headaches myself...probably the fault of the Santa Annas. This time of year always hurts one way or another because of those. Congrats to you for working through it, though I have no idea how you did that. I usually curl up in a ball with a pillow over my head.

Esther:

I have no idea how I did it either. I guess I just had to. Good luck with your headaches.
