A Cry From the Heart

On this Yom Ha Shoah, I want to bring your attention to an amazing article written by Orly Wiesel, an emergency room physician in Israel. It comes from a superp blog The Augean Stables which was brought to my attention by our new friend David Paulin of The Big Carnival.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

1. No profanity.

2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

There is nothing quite like a first-hand description of an event to make it real. These are the pictures the media should be showing.
And, how do you stop the 18 year old boy who is willing to blow-up innocent people as well as himself?

What a powerful post. And of course, there are the other casualties -- the ones who survive but are maimed, have chronic health problems, or are psychologically traumatized. The MSM seldom reports on them.

Posts like this drive home the pure evil of the murderous Islamofascists.

Randi:

The MSM are useless which is why I get the bulk of my news from the internet. It is ver hard to stop all acts of terrorism, but you can rest assured that there are quite a few homicide bombers who are foiled that you never hear about for reasons of security.

Tamara:

The "survivors" have life-long health problems which is exactly what the Jihadists have planned. Yes, this is evil pure and simple.

What an incredible description! I just sent this to friends plus some media, including The Jewish Press. Hopefully, they'll ask for permission to reprint it. It should be read by everyone.

Thanks so much.

How can so many repeat the old canard that "one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter?" Cause, flag, race do not matter--we can identify terrorists by their targets. These poor people were not legitimate targets, as any human with a shred of decency knows. RIP.

Boxer 5:

Well, that's the problem. These people and their apologists have not even a shred of decency, do they?

Posted by: Robert Avrech at April 25, 2006 05:31 PM

Indeed. Their Western apologists may even be worse, since they cannot tell the difference. And after fascists take over, their apologists are always the first against the wall. It would be nice if the schools could find a little time to teach history.

Boxer 5:

How can they teach history when they have already forgotten it?

Posted by: Robert Avrech at April 25, 2006 05:55 PM

Or never learned it. Guess perhaps hindsight ISN'T 20/20, especially if you won't look in that direction. Especially worth noting on this day--a day which remembers a horror that was ended by Western arms, giving the lie to the saying "violence never solved anything." Sometimes it is the only solution.

Posted by: Boxer 5 at April 25, 2006 07:07 PM

Boxer 5:

Violence is usually the only solution, especially when faced with evil and the "peaceniks" decide to sit it all out and let everybody else do all their dirty work.
