Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.
1. No profanity.2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism. That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.
Baruch Dayan Emes.
I am sorry to hear this news.

Saw this on the Efrat chat list earlier, and sadly did not make the connection until reading your post.
If David and I can be of any assistance to Karen, to you, or her family, please be sure to be in touch with us.
B'sorot tovot.

My own limited research has led me to believe that Rabbi Singer ZT"L was an extraordinary man in many ways. His knowledge of Biblical literature in particular was outstanding. It goes without saying that the Jewish world needed more men like him.

HAMAKOM YINACHEM ESCHEM BESOCH SHAREY AVELEY TZION VEYERUSHALAYIM.
I had the pleasure of spending the High Holidays with Rabbi Singer O"BM at the Avrech's home when Ariel O"BM was confined to his home.
Rabbi Singer delivered a sermon on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur as if he was back in his congregation in Brooklyn.
Watching Ariel & Rabbi Singer study Torah together was such a beautiful sight.
I know the people who were part of the services that High Holiday season all realized how special Rabbi Singer was.

May I be so bold as to suggest that a fitting memorial to the extraordinay Rabbi Philip Singer
would be a contribution to the Ariel Avrech Memorial Fund? He loved and cherished this grandson above all others.
