Lebanon is Hizbullah
The news is coming in fast and furious from Israel. Let me lay thing out as clearly as I can:
Treppenwitz reports that: "At about 9:15 AM a barrage of Ketyusha missiles and mortar shells were fired at both military and civilian targets in northern Israel, with one rocket scoring a direct hit on a civilian house in the community of Shtula. There are no firm numbers of wounded yet... but 6 - 8 seems to be the number I have seen most often.
"Prime Minister Ohlmert has officially declared the attack an act of war and is holding Lebanon directly responsible. IAF jets have overflown Beirut several times today to emphasize this point, and IDF Chief of Staff Dan Halutz has issued a statement that if Lebanon does not act quickly to eliminate the Hizbullah threat and return our soldiers, Israel will turn back Lebanon's clock by 20 years... a reference to the almost complete lack of infrastructure that existed in Lebanon after Israel was forced to invade in 1982."
Hizbullah, a terrorist gang with strong ties to Iran, is part of the Lebanese government. Hizbullah have taken responsibility for the killing of the seven IDF soldiers on the Lebanese Israeli border and the kidnapping of the two Israeli/Druze soldiers.
Thus, the sovereign state of Lebanon has committed an act of war against Israel.
Israel has called up her reserves for she is now in a state of war. A full Division has been mobilized and is moving on the Northern front.
It is clear that ever since Israel ignominiously retreated from Lebanon, retreated from Gaza, did not respond to the rocket attacks from Gaza--all this has only emboldened the Arabs.
It is time to set aside all restraint and smash the Arabs. Steven Erlanger, Official spokesman for Hamas, will write his absurd stories in the NY Times about a so-called humanitarian crisis in Gaza, no matter what Israel does. The Europeans are just a bunch of antiSemites anyway. It makes no difference how decently Israel fight, she is always condemned by the terrorist states who run the UN. As for the French, well, who cares what they think, they have not mattered in world affairs since America rescued their silly country in the Second World War. Let them eat croissant.
Israel has to do what is best for her citizens. The left is wrong, as they are always wrong. We must ignore them completely, for their policies are suicidal.
Let us pray for Israel and our soldiers and let the IDF move ahead and do what has to be done. And if Olmert has not the stomach for the job, let new elections be held and a new government elected.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.
1. No profanity.2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism. That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.
I hope that Israel takes the gloves off and does a very thorough job. It is important that a clear message be sent that the consequences of these actions are too severe to be considered.
