Ambulances for Terror

What kind of cold-blooded thugs use ambulances as killing aids or propaganda tools? Islamic terrorists, of course, have an unsurpassed history of using emergency vehicles as tools of their murderous trade. International charities and media dupes have gone along for the ride.

In March 2002, Israeli Defense Forces discovered a bomb in a Palestine Red Crescent Society ambulance near Jerusalem. The bomb, packed in a suicide belt, was hidden under a gurney carrying a Palestinian child. The driver confessed that it was not the first time ambulances had been used to ferry explosives.

Female suicide bomber Wafa Idris, who blew herself up in a January 2002 attack in Jerusalem, was a medical secretary for the PRCS. Her recruiter was an ambulance driver for the same organization, which receives support from governments worldwide and the American and International Red Cross.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

1. No profanity.

2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

Robert - I'm beginning to think that this whole "those aren't ambulences" thing is a much bigger problem than we realize. The West is hardwired to believe that lovingkindness is a good thing, indeed it is expected of a person and a society. We have a huge blind spot in the modern world. When we read about "ambulences" or "Red Crescent Society" we make cultural assumptions that are dangerously fallacious. On the rare occasions when we "connect the dots" and see that all the natural disasters in Moslem areas (Bam Earthquake, Pacific Tsunami etc) are lead by WESTERN relief teams we assume "oh, that's because we're richer". Well, no, that's not the reason. The reason is that the West wants to address suffering everywhere. The Moslem world simply cannot wrap their minds around the idea of extra-tribal charity. They are playing us for fools, exploiting our do-gooding mindset. The whole idea of "uniformed soldiers", "Geneva Convention", "Red Cross", are simply manifestations to them of Western weakness to be exploited in the war effort. Simply reading general news reports, I surmise that the International Red Cross has been coopted and perverted into an accessory of the jihad. Eviscerating their U.S. funding base would be a nice way to commence an American "paradigm shift" on understanding relief services in the Moslem world.

Judd:

Very true. The Arab/Muslim world takes advantage of our western "charity" and "goodness" at every turn. And that includes their Student Associations on our college campuses -- most of them no more than viciously anti-Simetic clubs and Jihadist recruiting grounds.

As Sun Tzu, the great Chinese General and writer said back in the 4th century: "Know the enemy and know yourself, and you can fight a hundred battles without defeat."

Problem is, the chattering classes in the west have lost the ability to distinguish good from evil; and inner-knowledge is at best a murky self-portrait.

Hence, we on the right are not only fighting the Jihadists, but we are fighting the liberals, the left, and all their fellow travelers in the media and the universities.

Thanks for your response, Robert. Good point about the "student" movement. Another putatively altruistic Western institution strip mined and exploited by our enemy.

Has there ever been a generation (ours) less clue-ed into to spiritual reality than the one that allegedly rejected materialism circa 1968?

Nope.
