The Axis of Jihadism

Because for 11 years years, the American public wasn’t informed about the threat that lead to September 11 and because the classrooms and newsrooms of the United States were not educated enough about the global threat of “Jihadism,” we feel it is incumbent on individual citizens to educate themselves about this danger and mobilize to prevent a Future Jihad looming around the world and at home. It is important that American citizens understand who the “Jihadists” are, what they want to achieve, and how they are proceeding. Without this knowledge, the American public will be unable to be part of the political debate about national security and the War on Terror. And if deprived from the support of an informed public, the US Government, now and in the future, cannot sustain difficult decisions pertaining to the defeat of the Terrorist enemy.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

1. No profanity.

2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

>> Because for 11 years years

What 11 years? The repeat of the word years is on the Counterrorism Blog - the mistake did not come from here. There are some other typos or strange spellings there. Khumeinist?

Who else spells Khomeini with a U?

That article doesn't have any real information - it just takes note of a couple or half dozen or so jihadist organizations.

t can't figure out WHY the Shiite and Sunni ones might be co-operating or why it might be wrong to assume they would not.

There is not one word in that article about Pakistan or Kashmir. I should tell you I think the arrest in Pakistan was meant to protect some people in Pakistan or Al Qaeda - it resulted in premature arrests in Great Britain for the airline plot.

The problem with all of that
(in this article) it makes it appear that this jihadism sorang out of nowehere - no one person, or country or intelluigence agency or anybody got this started or vastly strenghthened. It's probably not that way. And as I said, it tells you nothing. The article is for kindergarten.

April 19, 2006:

WE HAVE MOVED AND EXPANDED TO THE NEW COUNTERTERRORISM BLOG, EFFECTIVE APRIL 20. AND WE HAVE MERGED WITH BILL ROGGIO, NOTED MILITARY BLOGGER

And for all that, nobody seems to be carefully reading the posts.

Dear Mr. Finkelman:

Seraphic Secret has a wide readership: Orthodox Jews, Reform, Conservative and Jews who define their Jewishness in, um, some very odd ways--odd, I admit, to me.

We have numerous Seraphic readers who are devout Christians; and we are especially proud of our Seraphic Warrior readers, American soldiers who serve in the Army, Marines and Navy. We also have many faithful readers in the IDF. Need I say how happy that makes us?

Too, we have children who are reading Seraphic Secret on a regular basis. I admit that they are not of kindergarten age, but high school kids between the ages of 14 and 18. I know because I we receive quite a bit of private e-mail from our high school friends.

Alas, much of what we publish is intellectually too advanced for these kids, and so every once in a while we leaven our posts with simpler material.

Seraphic Secret appreciates reader's feedback. We take criticism seriously -- especially when it is well argued, free of ad hominem attacks, and helpfully constructive.

Thanks so much for reading Seraphic Secret.
