No Excuses for Terror

This You Tube Documentary is brought to you by British leftists who can no longer stand idly by and remain silent as their nihilistic comrades align themselves with the genocidal anti-Jewish jihadists.

Better do it fast. The last time this British journalist, David Aaronovitch, posted a video piece, You Tube removed it within several hours.

Hat Tip: Seraphic Friend, Jeremiah.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

1. No profanity.

2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

You can download the video off youtube, and save it to your computer. Here's a site that makes it easy: http://keepvid.com/

(Note: Youtube vids are in the .flv format; to view it, you must either download an .flv player, or a converter. The above site provides both I believe.)

Thanks so much. Wish I had known about this software earlier.

You're welcome. I had always idly wondered whether there was a way to download youtube and google videos, but after seeing this video of the IDF in Lebanon on google: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5051494141796755450&q=idf&hl=en , I was determined to find a way to do it. If you haven't seen it yet, it's well worth watching. (Wait, did I learn about the video from you? I can't remember.)

A little off-topic but check this story out on how students at Columbia clashed during a pro-Arab rally. http://media.www.columbiaspectator.com/media/storage/paper865/news/2006/09/29/News/Passions.Flare.At.Intifada.Rally-2317212.shtml?sourcedomain=www.columbiaspectator.com&MIIHost=media.collegepublisher.com

This is why we can't abandon or wholly condemn these schools. The students with common sense at schools like Columbia need our support, even though they clearly can handle themselves pretty well. Look, the economic and academic realities will always attract a lot of Jewish and non-Jewish kids to Ivy colleges who are mature enough to support life over death. We cannot let them be left to fight a few nutty faculty members and the frightened administrations who harbor them. Columbia and schools like it only become a welcome place for terrorist sympathizers if we let it happen. And from what happened yesterday, it is not such a comfortable place for the bad guys right now, thank goodness.

Re: the Columbia University article

Yes, we shouldn't abandon the schools, but we should encourage more kids to come out and protest like these did.

I would note, however, that the article says "The second Intifada, which translates literally to "the uprising," refers to the period of particularly strained relations between Palestinians and Israelis after peace negotiations broke down in 2000."

I like the "particularly strained" as opposed to the factual "Arafat started a murderous regime of terrorist murders via knives, guns and bombings"...yeah, suicide bombings did lead to some "strained relationships".

What a joke.

And of course, the Palestinians had the last "say", talking about how they want the SAME THING as the Israelis/Jews. Justice.

Another huge laugher. But that's what the kids will be reading.

Very depressing.

I can't vouch for the article... just the incident. The truth is, when I was at Columbia the pro-Israel faction was much larger than any other group and we made our presence felt vocally during the first Gulf War. I suspect that the pro-Palestinian groups at CU actually expect to win over converts and have it easy because Columbia is a "liberal school." These people are in for more rude awakenings like what happened yesterday, I assure you.

I'm not trying to sound overly optimistic, it's just that everyone should know that these events that sicken us are not met with silence at Columbia.

Jake, I was glad to read the story. I was glad to see folks showing up to protest these folks, and I agree wholeheartedly it should happen more often. It's fantastic that the counterprotest was mentioned at all (vs. the deafening silence in the MSM about the 35,000 who came to protest "Ahmadinutjob" at the UN) and I am glad you wrote about it. I hadn't heard anything about it.

It gives me some optimism.

I needed that, because I had also just read our local Jewish paper, and for the second week in a row, someone sent a letter-to-the-editor where someone pleaded for Israel to just try talking, negotiating, with Nasrallah. The week before, someone had opined that Israel needed to talk to Hamas (which, oh by the way, had a rally in Gaza where a speaker was quoted there was never to be any recognition of Israel in any way, shape or form, and that the Palestinians could all die trying to "liberate" all of Palestine...yeah, let's just TALK with them. That's the usual editorial and letter content in that paper and in the community.)

Ugh. I was a bit frustrated. I don't have high regards for the Fourth Estate right now.

I suspect the article was written by a student. It was just striking though, that it followed the usual bias lines. The young writer might be trying out for al-Reuters or the AP, and heaven forfend she should show any favoritism to Israel.

Robert:

I found the first documentary on YouTube, again. It looks like it was just moved, not removed.
