Succos Redux
It just so happens that right now, Virtual Jerusalem is running my "How I Married Karen" Succos installment. How's that for timing?
This has to be one of the most demented stories I have ever told--all true, I'm afraid.
Here's where I visit Karen's house in Brooklyn for the very first time, on Succos mind you, and meet Karen's parents. Here's Part One.
And in this installment, lunatic that I am, I step out of the Succah, sneak past Karen's parents for I have my eyes set on a bigger prize -- and it's in the closet in Karen's childhood bedroom. Part Two.
If you want to read the entire "How I Married Karen" story, all 37 chapters, click here. You'll have to scroll all the way to the bottom to get to Chapter One, then just work your way up chapter by chapter.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.
1. No profanity.2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism. That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.
I'm stealing Carly Simon's lyrics: "...It's the stuff that dreams are made of/It's the slow and steady fire/It's the stuff that dreams are made of/It's your heart and soul's desire..."
That describes your multiple-chapter relationship with Karen. Always fun to read and reread!

I'm so weak on pop music I hereby admit I've never heard any music by Ms. Simon. But, nice lyrics. Thanks so much. Glad you enjoy, even when it's only a repeat.

Couldn't resist this one. You're so weak on "pop music" that you don't even realize that you do know Carly Simon's music. How about, "You're so Vain, you don't Even Know this Song is About you."

Is that Carly Simon? How about that? There you go, I'm a pop music maven!

Being that you're now a publisher with Seraphic Press, here's a tidbit of info: Carly Simon's father was Richard L. Simon, co-founder of Simon & Schuster Publishing.

Chag Sameach! I have been reading the whole series & just need to ask if you plan on publishing this? Besides for the story of your incredible & very deeply moving lives, it's so real, the way you write! Hope you had a nice chag, I know it must have been wierd without offspring #2 home this year, but I'm sure she's having a great yomtov in israel...succos is just incredible there!

Moadim L'simcha. Yes, we do plan on publishing "How I Married Karen" as soon as I finish writing it. It is very strange without Offspring #2 AND #3 at home this year. Ariel is always missed. Thanks so much for writing.
