In Search of Lost Democrats

“Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we will pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”

John Fitzgerald Kennedy's Inaugural Address Friday, Jan 20, 1961

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

1. No profanity.

2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

Just because there aren't enough, (or any), prominent Democrats saying this anymore... I still believe this is true of America. The Americans in the many parts of this country where I have lived have never ceased to impress me, even if they seem distracted with other things almost all of the time.

Never confuse our politicians' lack of decency for the feelings of the true American public.
