Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

1. No profanity.

2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

From that list, I like "cacozelia." But to me it sounds like the name of a very colorful, beautiful flower.

ie. Alongside the array of birds of paradise sat a lone crimson cacozelia, its large blossoms bursting open, happily greeting the sun.

BTW, this beautiful blossom would be a Penstemon, part of the Scrophulariaceae family.(how's that for rare/foreign words?)

"Ucalegon" is just plain weird! :-)

What kind of culture has a word for "the neighbor whose house is on fire"???

Pearl:

Isn't that funny? I had the same thought. I imagined a delicate purple flower in the Amazon jungle.

Amy:

What kind of culture has this word? A culture that has more words in its lexicon than any other language on the face of the earth.

Just a thought.
