Jew-Hatred at Montreal's Concordia U.
In September 2002, Little Green Footballs covered the story of the violent demonstrations at Montreal’s Concordia University that forced the cancellation of a speech by former Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu. Today IDF Dave emailed a link to a documentary on this event; and it’s absolutely shocking. This shows the thuggish, extreme nature of the Saudi-funded Muslim Student Association in a way that hasn’t been exposed before; they believed they had the upper hand, and they had utter contempt for the Canadian authorities. It was a little intifada, right in the middle of Montreal.
Click here to watch this shocking video—and beware you might need a barf bag.
The next Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, has some fine words at the close of this video.
It is beyond belief that these Muslim students and their vile fellow western travelers, were not arrested and then expelled from Concordia. They are Nazi-like Jew-haters, clearly anti-Democratic in thought and deed, and incited a violent riot. They are also a fifth column in America, and it is only a matter of time before many of them are involved in far more serious terrorist activities which will kill and maim innocent Americans.
This, I guarantee.
Concordia University is administered by a bunch of cowards and terrorist appeasers. They will sow what they have reaped when these Muslim students feel emboldened enough to burn down this disgraceful University.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.
1. No profanity.2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism. That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.
Watching the video made my blood boil. Unbelievable. The Islamists showed their true colors -- barbarians.
Netanyahu's comments, as usual, were right on. G-d I love that man.

Wow, that was shocking. (Chilling, I guess is a better word.) Does anyone know what has happened in the meanwhile to this Muslim group at Concordia? On the other hand, having just looked at the University website, there was this headline right on the front page: "Nazi-Looted Old Master Painting Returned to Max Stern Estate", though reading the details reveals that Max Stern apparently left his estate partially to Concordia, hence their interest in recovering the looted art.

Tamara:
The Islamic students and their western travelers were not treated as the barbarians they are—by the Concordia University administration. Cancelling the speech was the exact wrong thing to do. It was appeasement pure and simple, and signaled to the barbarians that violence and intimidation work.

Amy:
No idea what happened to the Islamic student group. I would bet my bottom dollar that nothing happened. That they are probably stronger and more violent than ever before. That's what barbarians do—until you put a stop to them.

Based on what I saw in a quick run through the LGF comments, the Islamos have been voted out of the student council the past five years, but they're worried about the future.

Kishke:
Thanks so much for the info and the corrective. But of course, we should all be worried.

As others have said it makes my blood boil. During my university career I saw Kahane speak a number of times. While I did not agree with all that he said it was important to see that he was allowed to speak.
There were many protesters, but violence never once erupted. In part because we made it very clear that there would be an immediate response.
I haven't been out of school for all that long, but the world has changed. We need to do what we can to help support our students.

I'm curious. Who protested, and how did you make it clear that there would be a response? Also, which school was this?

Kishke,
Sorry for the delayed response. I just saw this. I saw him in a couple of places, CSUN and UCLA.
As for how we made our position clear let's just say that holding a baseball game near the speech was one of the ways that we demonstrated our athleticism.
Teddy was right about speaking softly and carrying a Louisville slugger. ;)

Gotcha. Thanks for the response.
