UN: Human Rights Nightmare
The UN's Human Rights Commission has been told it is a hypocritical and prejudiced body which does nothing to help millions of people in need, due to its obsessive focus on demonizing Israel.
In a speech given during a session of the Human Rights Commission on March 23rd, Hillel Neuer, Director of UN Watch, delivered a scathing attack on the commission's track record, describing it as a "human rights nightmare."
Responding to the speech, the Council President Luis Alfonso De Alba said Neuer's speech fell short of "minimum proper conduct," adding that Neuer's comments were "inadmissible."

Let's look at just some of the UN's recent and bloody track record: Genocide in Rwanda. Genocide in the Sudan. Four million dead in the Congo. Mass murder in Sierra Leone. And dictator Robert Mugabe has led Zimbabwe into economic and social collapse.
The list is endless.
The UN, at best, is an enabler of despots and genocidiers.
Whenever I hear the phrase "the international community" I know that I am dealing with a moral idiot, or a Jew and American-hater.
Have you noticed how the two hatreds now flow together? Those who hate Jews will, you can bet your bottom dollar, hate America, and by the way, hate pious Christians.
Know that the UN is financed overwhelmingly with American tax dollars. Those dollars are spent, time and again, on resolutions condemning Israel. Resolutions that are passed by iron-fisted Islamic dictatorships against a transparent and free Jewish democracy.
Hunger is never alleviated by the doltish machinery of the UN.
Misery is never reduced by the maddeningly inefficient UN.
In fact, the only machinery that runs smoothly at the UN is the culture of corruption.
In fact, it can be shown that the UN increases human suffering by building cultures of dependency, by erecting vast and self-perpetuating bureacracies of corruption. Witness the so-called Palestinians: the biggest welfare witches in the history of the planet. They have received zillions of dollars in aide and what do they have to show for it?
Ten billion Kalachnikovs.
Well, they do have their priorities, don't they?
The world would be a better place if that vile building in Turtle Bay were torn down, the earth salted, and a Synagogue and Yeshiva built on that land. Then, and only then, would the space the UN occupies serve any useful purpose.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.
1. No profanity.2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism. That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.
The most important thing you said, IMHO, is about how not only is the UN anti-Jewish and anti-American, which we knew, but that it increases world suffering. Most people, even those who don't like the UN, don't realize how truly evil it is in that regard. It's not a mere waste of billions of dollars, but it aids and abets murder and genocide as you point out.
No little thing.
As much as a shul and/or yeshivah would be nice, the dues/tuition might be too much; that land is worth a lot of money. Condos...shopping complexes...use it for ANYTHING other than the Bureaucracy of Evil.
Come to think of it..just about all the insanity of the idea of a Jewish cabal running the world a la "Protocols..."...the reality is that the UN is a cabal of thugs and murderers and thieves on a scale that puts "the Sopranos" to shame. (The Mafiosi must be very envious of the likes of a Kofi Annan and how much he was able to steal).

Two of the top articles about the pervasive perversion of human rights at the UN are Daniel Patrick Moynihan's "Joining the Jackals" and Jeane Kirkpatrick's How the PLO was legitimized.

You are quite right, the UN's greatest sin, what makes it an evil organization, is that it increases human suffering — under the guise of alleviating suffering.
It is the fully realized world of Orwell's 1984.
