Target: England

Al Queda leaders in Iraq are planning the first “large-scale” terrorist attacks on Britain and other western targets with the help of supporters in Iran, according to a leaked intelligence report.
Spy chiefs warn that one operative had said he was planning an attack on “a par with Hiroshima and Nagasaki” in an attempt to “shake the Roman throne”, a reference to the West.
Another plot could be timed to coincide with Tony Blair stepping down as prime minister, an event described by Al-Qaeda planners as a “change in the head of the company”.
The report, produced earlier this month and seen by The Sunday Times, appears to provide evidence that Al-Qaeda is active in Iran and has ambitions far beyond the improvised attacks it has been waging against British and American soldiers in Iraq.

This is a major story, and yet there is hardly any coverage in the mainstream media.

Threats made by terrorists should be taken with great seriousness. History has shown that jihadists often warn of their attacks months in advance, but for some reason western security services do not take these warnings at face value.

For too long England has played the appeasement card with foreign terrorists, terrorist states, and the thousands of homegrown terrorists who proudly preach jihad from mosques all over Britain.

The self-loathing leftists of the BBC and The Guardian have blamed America and Israel for the depredations of the Islamic jihadists in the hope that appeasement and Jew-hatred would, in the end, spare England from blood-letting.

But of course appeasement does no such thing.

Appeasement only invites slaughter.

The jihadists correctly interpret British appeasement as weakness, as cowardice, as disloyalty of the worst kind, and they understand that they have been given a green light to organize their Islamic shock troops and attack the very heart of the British state, for the British people and its government live in a world of denial.

Iran declared war aginst the west over 20 years ago, yet the west has declined to face the true gravity of this existential conflict.

Instead of fighting the evil of Iran, Iraq, the so-called Palestinians, and all the other tyrannical, intolerant, women-hating jihadists of the failed Arab world, Europe has chosen to demonize America and Israel—the only countries who have the moral compass and physical courage to stand up to the blood-crazed Islamic bullies.

Now England, France, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany the Netherlands, and all of Africa will pay the grim price of appeasement.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

1. No profanity.

2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

Thank you, Robert. A good day to be reminded of this, when are hearts are so sad at the loss of 9 more of our precious soldiers.

Just finished So Sad So Sad To Fall In Battle: An Account of War Based on General Tadamichi Kuribayashi's Letters from Iwo Jima. Kuribashi, who had spent 5 years in the US and knew Japan would ultimately lose, was also aware that Americans hate to lose and can lose the will to win. “Kuribayashi was aware of American public opinion when he chose to wage a bloody war of attrition. He wanted to make the American people sick of the war by drawing out the battle and inflicting heavy casualties on the Americans.”

For a great perspective, check out this on the inspiring attitude of these Israeli parents. http://www.aish.com/jewishissues/israeldiary/Our_Soldiers.asp

Katherine:

Yes, a bad day for our soldiers in Iraq. The terrorists are using the tactics of attrition. Hassan Nasrallah even showed a video of America withdrawing from Saigon at his last big speech in Beirut. And of course they understand that the Democrats are basically, well, on their side.

I'll have to pick up the Kuribashi book. It sounds amazing.

Thanks so much for the link. I can barely see through my tears.

Europe has been, is and will continue to follow the road that led to the death of 26,000,000 people in WWII; a huge cost to us for maintaining them and rebuilding; nearly 70 years of protection by us. This time, I am afraid, we will not be there to help them and heads will roll. The USA is being led down the garden path by a group of tinfoil hatted leftist loons more interested in gaining power and running things "their" way than in doing anything to protect us and our allies. The truth is shameful and the only consolation I have is that their heads will be floating next to mine down that blood flooded roadway. I cannot see any way out of this mess with the insane leading the insane in this world.

Sue:

You mean you're not going to rush and send troops to France to save their sorry country from, well, themselves—once again?

Gee, how not multicultural.
