The Best of the Jewish Blogosphere

Haveil Havalim #136 is up.

Normally on Sunday, you can find me watching a great old Hollywood movie. Then I like to stroll down memory lane recalling some obscure Hollywood lore as I put up the latest Haveil Havalim. But this morning I gave a lecture and now Karen and I have to run out to take care of some oh-so-necessary errands — so I've got nothing today.

Sorry.

We'd like to thank Soccer Dad for including Seraphic Secret's Olmert: The New Judenrat in this fine roundup.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

1. No profanity.

2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

Vos far ah lecture?

Robert:

A quick update on the current Olmert investigations.
Attorney General Mazuz has launched 2 new investigations against Olmert.

This is the first time that I can recall such an all out negative media blitz against a Leftist PM.
Olmert is most likely the most corrupt politician in Israeli history.
Even the liberal media can't defend him.

Kishke:

I lectured at a local LA shul about my journey from Yeshiva to Hollywood. Karen sits in the front row and signals me when it's getting really boring.

David:

Thanks so much for the link.

I fear that Olmert's corruption is not enough to drive him from power in that so many Israeli politicians are themselves corrupt to the core.

Besides, the reason to dump Olmert is not his financial shenanigans, but his policies of appeasement.
