Hamas Goes Hollywood
Your first instinct may be to laugh, but this is no laughing matter. Besides the cost in human suffering, where Arab leaders once again spend millions on projects that do not improve the lives of their citizens, it is imperative to realize that Hamas is choosing to earmark huge amonts of money towards massive propaganda. This is the life-blood of the media war against Israel, Judaism and the West. The Big Lie, repeated over and over again, soon goes from being an outrage, to being common place, to another accepted truth in a world of moral relativism.
How long before Michael Moore or Danny Glover drops by to sign a co-production deal?
Though its people are struggling to make ends meet, Hamas officials are busy worrying about raising funds for the ambitious project to turn Gaza into a movie-making emporium. First in the production order is a film based on a novel penned by hardliner Mahmoud Zahar.
It's a tale worthy of its own movie script: The Gaza Strip's isolated and cash-strapped Hamas rulers plan to build a $200 million media city and movie production house that will be part tourist attraction and part effort to cement control of the territory it seized by force in June.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.
1. No profanity.2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism. That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.
I wouldn't be at all surprised. And I also think it likely that within the next 3-5 years we will see a number of movies challenging the moral superiority of the Allies during WWII.

David:
We've already seen two such wretched films: "Flags of our Fathers" and "Letters from Iwo Jima."
Both died at the box office, no surprise, but that won't halt Hollywood's nihilistic anti-American march.

Timely news - a Hezbollah funding cell was found in downtown Los Angeles. Maybe they're planning a studio up north as well, and were here for training by the best?

Will they have guys in Homicide Mouse costumes blowing themselves up at the parade? A booth where kids can get their bomb belts autographed by their favorite Homicide cartoon characters? It could be fun!

Truthfully I am surprised that it has taken this long. I would have expected something like this a long time ago.

"... The Gaza Strip's isolated and cash-strapped Hamas rulers plan to build a $200 million media city and movie production house ... "
now, that would make things interesting when Israel cuts the electricity,
or will the need for uninterrupted electric power for production, stop the Hamas rocket attacks ?

Unbelievable...how about some realistic peace-loving endeavor for these people? Hamas leaders don't care about their citizenry of course, they don't care that their unemployment rate hovers at 30%, where 65% of the people live below the poverty line, and they receive 1.14 billion dollars in aid. What they care about is indeed, propoganda, and now that there's a writers strike happening its probably freed up some Hwood elites who are looking for an investment project.

Ralphie:
Thanks so much for the valuable link. In London, MI-5 have just announced that there are, um, some serious home grown British Islamist cells that have been busted.
No doubt western Europe is teeming with such jihadist terrorists cells.
It's only a matter of time before they take advantage of our freedoms in America to mutate and cause terrible destruction, unless we take the necessary security precautions.

No doubt Hamas are planning heart-warming children's program on that level, but we get the definite impression that they are after even bigger game now, y'know, make a co-production deal with Jane Fonda or Sean Penn.

Nothing stops the rocket attacks. Killing Jews takes priority over everything, don't you pay attention to Arab media?

Brilliant notion for a film. Hollywood leftie writer's who are on strike get gigs to work for Hamas.
Love to see the leftie writer's trying to negotiate a deal with Hamas.
Writer: We want—
Hamas: We kill you!
Writer: Whatever you say, dude!

Jake, very good!
They might also do Dodgebomb and The Unnatural. And they'd be perfect for the screen version of Wicked.

Hmm.
Hamas wants to produce Hollywood movies? How do we tell the difference?
Seems like a way of throwing away a lot of money.

Antoine:
You're right, Hollywood, Hamas, the ideological gap closes with each wretched film that's released. The latest stink bomb: "Lions for Lambs."
I hear even the projectionists are fleeing the theaters.
