Shocking News: Hamas Hate Jews

01hamas01_190.jpg
"A Palestinian girl held a Koran and a fake rifle at a
recent rally organized by Hamas in Gaza."

Steven Erlanger, crack reporter for the New York Times, has just discovered that Hamas actually hate Jews.

Now, carefully read the caption to the photo that accompanies Erlanger's article. I actually laughed out loud.

"A Palestinian girl held a Koran and a fake rifle at a recent rally organized by Hamas in Gaza."

Fake rifle.

Really?

Because a homicidal, Jew-hating Palestinian would never carry a real Kalachnikov. And of course, Hamas go to the trouble of manufacturing fake automatic weapons because y'know, they wouldn't allow their delicate, non-violent women to carry real-live weapons.

Some thoughts about the editors/caption-writers at the N.Y. Times:

1. Delusional.
2. Listening to sermons by Barack Obama's, ahem, former Pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
3. Wouldn't know a real gun from a fake gun if it shot them in the face.

In his article, Erlanger goes easy on Fatah, as if they don't incite Jew-hatred also. Erlanger has been in Israel for several years and only now has discovered that the Hamas covenant is a murderous and Jew-hating document that's partially based on the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion.” Maybe in another few years Erlanger will become aware that Fatah is no different than Hamas. Didn't Erlanger notice that Fatah has been marinating in the martyrdom of the terrorist who committed the Mercaz Massacre.

No, of course not, that would ruin Erlanger's neat narrative.

In the meantime, Jews are murdered by genocidal Arabs while Erlanger and his ilk continue to apologize for terrorists, and when they do publish articles that nibble at the truth, the attempts are so feeble, using language so cautious, that the moral equivalence that lies at the heart of the beast shines through.

Like the western journalists who overlooked Stalin's genocide, history will harshly judge Steven Erlanger, Isabel Kirshner, Helene Cooper, and all the other fellow traveler's of the New York Times and the other arch liberal journalists who have aided and abetted Arabs terrorists. Their words, no less than bullets and shrapnel, have murdered and maimed countless Jews.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

1. No profanity.

2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

Erlanger seems to be confusing Hamastan with the agitpop-culture more typical of American protests. (That's "agitpop," not "agitprop.")

But if it was a fake rifle, then it was right to point it out. There is a big difference between a picture of a girl carrying a real rifle, and a picture of a girl carrying a fake rifle. It is correct that this should be noted in the caption.

If one thing is in question, then everyhing may be in question. If it's fake, then why? What did she do with the item? How many girls and other people present were decked out with such weaponry? How many had fake ones? How many had real ones? What was the exact content of the rally, its speeches, actions, rites? What did Erlanger do (or fail to do) while reporting this story? Etc.

Jeremiah:

As you know, I lived in Israel for several years and witnessed quite a good deal of violence. I never saw a "fake rifle" in the hands of a Hamas or Fatah member. The notion is, to say the least, dopey.

Hey, maybe the Koran was, y'know, fake.

Most certainly, Erlanger is a fake journalist. His work, more accurately, falls under the general label of: Israel-basher, or Jihad-apologist. In short: a verbal terrorist.

Even if the Kalashnikov were fake, which it's not, what would that signify? That the woman is not violent. That her intentions are actually peaceful? That she's really a nice person underneath it all.

The imagery is paramount and the marriage of Koran and Kalashnikov means only one thing: jihad against Jews, jihad against Israel, jihad against western civilization.

Yeah, I'd have to think the poorest guy in Gaza is the schmoe selling fake guns... I mean what's the point?

The reason Erlanger is reporting on this now... he's been re-assigned. In other words, since he's gone now, he can finally report the truth without fear of being a.) killed b.) denied access to Palestinian propagandists,er,sources c.) both.

At least now he's safely far away from violent Islamist extremists... Paris.

Check. Was just drawing attention to certain logical (let alone moral) implications of Ted's statement, trying to beat him at his game.

Ralphie:

Yes, Erlanger has been reassigned to Paris where, no doubt, he'll report on the struggle Suha Arafat wages every day from her million dollar apartment on the Champs with her army of boy-toy Fatah bodyguards.

Taking Erlanger's place, according to the always reliable Soccer Dad, is Boston Globe's Ethan Bronner.
