The IAF Flies Over Auschwitz
This is an incredibly moving video.
Keep in mind that sometime in the next few months the IAF will be flying into Persia—on an extremely complex but necessary mission—to halt another Holocaust.
I believe that Israel is sending an unequivocal message to Iran and to the world with this overflight of Auschwitz.
The Israeli pilot reads a message to the world: “For all those who were murdered, we will never let it happen again. We are here. We will fight for you.”

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.
1. No profanity.2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism. That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.
Very, very moving indeed.
I just hope that the current politicos have the cajones to order such a mission.
I have zero confidence in Olmert, Livni, and Shas.
They are completely corrupt and only look out for number one....certainly they could careless about the state of the nation.

Lance:
I have little confidence in Olmert & Company, especially when it comes to dealing forcefully with Hamas and Fatah.
But let's keep in mind that Olmert gave the go-ahead to the mission on the Syrian-Korean nuclear facility.
Anyway, by the time the IAF is read to sortie into Persia, Netanyahu will be PM, and Olmert will be on the ash heap of history.

May it be so.

I was very moved by the video clip, Robert, especially during the fly past while HaTikvah was played and sung.

Sent a chill down my spine. What a contrast to sixty five years ago, when so many Jews filed meekly into the gas chambers, the world’s victims, with barely a protest save a few noble exceptions like the Warsaw uprising. Now that spirit shown in Warsaw is on public display, symbolically over Auschwitz and practically over Syria. I pray that freedom loving people everywhere, but especially in Israel, continue to honor the virtues of standing to fight in a good cause.

Robert,
I believe that is an old clip. The Israeli air force flew over Auschwitz back in Sept. 2003. Since then much has happened and the message the Israeli gov't is sending to the world is very different.

thank you, Robert. The video clip and your appended message are most inspiring and moving. May we be worthy as a people to have God's blessing and salvation !

What moves us to tears is not the Israeli Air Force. It is the thought and deed of Jewish jet fighters flying over the place where Jews were despised and where their animal torturers believed that this was the end of Judaism...
What moves us to tears is the knowledge that every Jewish soul that was tormented in that place of Death is crying tears of joy as those jets fly overhead, to know that they are a treasured memory; that they are rescued from their place of torment; and that, no matter what the politics of Israel may be, there are noble Jewish fighters who will protect them and their spiritual brethren, no matter what the cost, from the animals in this world who wish to see us annihilated once more.

It doesn't matter to me when the clip was made. All that matters is that we won't walk into the breach alone ever again.

never again.

This brought tears to my eyes.
Our son has just been accepted into the US Marines Officer Candidate School, as a future pilot. May the United States always continue to support Israel in its struggle against the modern Plague of Islamic anti-Semitism.

My apologies to all my readers regarding this clip. I was under the impression that the ceremony took place now. My brother-in-law, David, is correct, this took place in 2003.
I wish it took place now.
But we can take comfort that it did take place, and we can surely hope that the message of the IAF over Auschwitz will be enduring and cautionary to those who would destroy Israel and the Jewish people.
