Israeli War Hero Meets Sarah Palin
A fine and informative article by my good friend David Suissa, an authentic advertising genius, and the man the Israeli Ministry of Tourism should have hired to create their new advertising campaign designed to “brand” Israel.

I was visiting with a friend and Israeli war hero the other day, a guy with great stories named Elan Frank, and all we could talk about was Sarah Palin.
Let me explain. Frank was awarded the Medal of Honor in 1982 after he rescued 25 Israeli soldiers caught in a nighttime terrorist ambush deep inside Lebanon. The conditions were so risky that Frank's co-pilot suggested they abort the mission. Frank ignored the advice, and under intense enemy fire, he made a daredevil 360 degree move to speed up the helicopter's landing and rescue the troops.
That was 26 years ago. Now Frank is a busy filmmaker.
Earlier this year, he called the office of the governor of Alaska to ask permission to shoot Sarah Palin for his new film, a documentary about powerful women of the world. Because he had spent a lot of time in Alaska, he'd heard about the feisty Palin and thought she'd be a natural.
Well, guess what? She said yes.
To read the complete story, please click here.
Governor Sarah Palin, the Republican nominee for vice president, was scheduled to speak today at a rally in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza to protest the appearance of Holocaust denying President Ahmadinejad of Iran. Her appearance was canceled by rally organizers seeking to appease the partisan Obama Democrats who declined to share a platform with Governor Palin. So much for the alleged bi-partisan support of Israel. Clearly, the Democrats see Governor Palin as existentially more dangerous than a nuclear-armed Persia.
Governor Sarah Palin:
I am honored to be with you and with leaders from across this great country — leaders from different faiths and political parties united in a single voice of outrage.
Tomorrow, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will come to New York — to the heart of what he calls the Great Satan — and speak freely in this, a country whose demise he has called for.
Ahmadinejad may choose his words carefully, but underneath all of the rhetoric is an agenda that threatens all who seek a safer and freer world. We gather here today to highlight the Iranian dictator's intentions and to call for action to thwart him.
He must be stopped.
Click here for the entire speech Governor Palin would have given.
And Wolf Howling analyzes the verbal pogroms being directed at the McCain-Palin ticket, not just by the Obama campaign, but with the shameless assistance of the arch leftist mainstream media.
Has anyone noticed that the rabid smears directed against Governor Palin bear a striking resemblance to the language and strategy used from time immemorial by Jew-haters?
Governor Palin is accused, on the one hand, of being a sneaky, and darkly manipulative executive. And in the next breath she's accused of being stupid and without executive experience or managerial skills.
She's labeled a small-town hick whose supporters are hillbilly trash, and at the same time she's portrayed as a ruthless and sophisticated technocrat who routinely subverts the rule of law.
And of course, the latest attack from a respected Democrat, the charge that Governor Palin is disabled.
These irrational charges and tactics are typical of anti-Semitic rhetoric.
And then there's the sexual, pornographic angle. Governor Palin has been characterized as a sexy Barbie doll, as looking like a porn actress. In the next breath, she's accused of being frigid, like the Alaskan tundra.
These toxic, psychosexual attacks—voiced by people deeply conflicted over their sexuality—were a major part of the Nazi propaganda arsenal, and are currently a staple of the Islamic world, where Jews are viewed as hopelessly corrupt, defilers of pure Islamic youth.
Perhaps, the most infamous smears come from the Jewish left. Actually, their religion is the Democratic party, not the Torah. As soon as Governor Palin was announced for the VP spot, J-Street—Soccer Dad has rightly commented that this organization exists to make anti-Israel ideology legitimate—announced that the choice of Sarah Palin was an insult to the Jewish people. Of course, this mendacious charge has no grounding in reality; all the evidence indicates that Governor Sarah Palin is a strong supporter of Israel and has been a warm friend to the Jews of Alaska.
The pattern is clear: the charges hurled at Governor Palin are false, verbal pogroms layered with grim, conspiratorial theories.
Thus, the Obamacrats have transformed Sarah Palin into the despised Jew.
And for those who claim that the attacks against Governor Palin are confined to an unimportant fringe, it's been revealed that David Axelrod, Obama's campaign manager, is orchestrating a ruthless and illegal internet smear job, called astro turfing.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.
1. No profanity.2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism. That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.
And he's a hell of a nice guy. He was a guest of the Vancouver Jewish Film Festival several years ago when I was the Executive Director. I have very fond memories of his visit. He was modest about his background, and also proved himself to be a very passionate and competent filmmaker.

Thanks so much for jumping in with the valuable personal testimonial. I'm sure that no matter how honest and honorable is Elan Frank, the Obamacrats, especially the J Street crowd, will find some way of discrediting him. Palin hatred has reached clinical proportions.

OT, but here's why I don't give two hoots about what happens to the Iraqis:

Imagine, sitting on that kind of footage when the GOP, if they were a little less Ayn Randy and a little more touchy feely, could quickly shape up into a youtube hit.

Kishke:
Sigh.
I care about Iraq insofar as I care about the war on terror. But let's face it, the Arab-Muslim world is dysfunctional, a sewer of Jew-hatred

Ever since President Ronald Reagan exited the world stage, the GOP have stumbled disastrously when it comes to communicating a coherent vision.

If Obama loses I am convinced we will hear many not-so-veiled reports blaming it on the Jews.
In fact, we already are hearing it, with more and more "dispatches" from Florida, where elderly Jewish Democrats are being portrayed as vicious racists because they're uneasy about Obama, (as oppose to, I don't know, being uneasy about a campaign that is basically attacking McCain because he's elderly). The Daily Show did a "report" about this that was pretty racist on its own. Jon Stewart gets such big laughs when he says something Anti-Semitic.
Leading the attack on the Jews will be our fellow Jews David Axelrod and Joe Klein. Axelrod is Obama's campaign manager. Klein has recently joined with the most vicious Anti-Semites and is promoting the canard that the War on Iraq was a war for the Jews. Next, he'll be authenticating thr blood libel for Passover. Klein is same shoddy journalist and writer who wrote "Primary Colors" as "Anonymous," waited until it became a hit to admit he did write it, and NEVER apologized to the media experts who guessed he was the author all along even though he personally and angrily attacked them when they guessed right.
And I'm sure the Arab "media" has several "The Jews didn't let Obama Win" stories ready to go right now. They are probably assembling B-roll video of Jewish people in Boca Raton right now. If you have any relatives in Florida, tell them not to pose for any video cameras these days.
Be ready folks, be ready.

Jack -- I really appreciate your post and references to the Jews involved in the anti-Semetic attacks.
But I'm willing to "be ready" for these attacks that will surely come -- if it means that Obama not be elected. I have huge fears not only what an Obama presidency would mean for Israel, but that our country's economy will be devastated, and the further diminishment of civil liberties in the world. The Democrats/liberals of the world who viciously mock Bush and the Patriot Act have increasingly banned any free speech that warns of the dangers of Islam, as Mark Steyn and others have found. Those who currently stand with us to support democracy will have nowhere to turn. I pray I am just being foolishly pessimistic, and that McCain will be easily elected -- as Robert and others have predicted.

Katherine:
Don't get me wrong, I too don't want Obama to win either.
I do think we should be ready with some preemptive strikes for the attacks we're sure to get. I'd like to see some editorials in the Wall Street Journal and the Jewish papers defending Jewish voters who have the right to be uneasy about Obama or anyone from either party right now.
Marvin Schick paid-for editorial in the Jewish papers last weekend blasted the Orthodox for beginning to blindly vote Republican. That's fine, but the same editorial should be written about blindly voting for Democrats or blindly voting for racial minorities just because we too are a minority.

I have to admit that I was in the tank for Obama up until last week. Nothing in particular happened to get me off his plantation. I just started reading alot on the internet and followed links. I wandered into Freerepublic to see what “the other side” was up to……..and I learned a new word….”PUMA.” Oh my gosh…..I WOKE UP. REBORN. HUGE LIGHTBULB WENT ON. I’M A PUMA and didn’t realize it. I just thought I HAD to vote for a democrat because that’s what I’ve always been. I didn’t know there was a zillion people out there just like me. THANK YOU!!
(I went to Freerepublic and found this link here).
PS—-I’m now calling myself an INDEPENDENT. I don’t know if I can ever be a republican, but their stances don’t sound bad. Just taking baby steps and will see what happens.
************I've heard it said that a Conservative is a liberal who got mugged.
I think a lot of liberals got mugged this year when they saw how the democrat primaries were rigged to select Barack Obama.
Many liberal Democrat women are now especially sensitive to the rabid attacks on Sarah Palin by feminazis and the media since their candidate of choice, Hillary Clinton, was attacked in a similar fashion.

Thanks so much for the link. We would like to see Glick retire from journalism and enter politics—as the next PM of Israel.
