Obama: Tragedy, Redistribution of Wealth Not Pursued

In this radio interview from 2001, Barack Obama laments the fact that “the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth.”

This is the ideology of the former Soviet Union, Mao's China, Cuba and every Communist, Socialist sink hole on planet earth. It's a classic Socialist belief that government should control private property and wealth, that the haves should be compelled by big government to hand over what they have earned to the have-nots—above and beyond taxes.

We will also remind our readers that Obama's mentor for over 20-years, Jeremiah (“G-d damned America; Israel, that dirty word.”) Wright, advocated this economic ideology when preaching his Black Liberation Theology. And of course, American terrorists William Ayers and his wife Bernardine Dohrn* were and are Communists who openly advocate the redistribution of wealth.

So if Obama is elected here's what we can expect almost immediately.

1. The Defense budget will be cut by at least 10% and as much as 25%. This will make the Islamic terrorists and Russia very happy.

2. Israel will not have a strong American partner in Obama. In fact, the opposite. And when it comes time to destroy the Iranian nuclear facilities, Obama will, most assuredly, want to sit down and chat with the Persians and then get the Europeans and the UN involved. Whenever that scenario unrolls, Israelis and Jews the world over end up getting murdered. And whatever is bad for Israel, is invariably bad for America. Remember: Israel is the canary in the coal mine for civilization.

3. Obama and his radical left friends in the Congress, Conyers, Dodd, Frank, Pelosi, Rangel, Reid, will impose tariffs against our most vital trading partners. Never forget that Obama and the Democrats are owned by the unions. There will be a trade war and domestic prices will shoot shy high.

4. At the same time, Obama will increase taxes for everyone except those who don't pay Federal taxes.

5. Obama has said he wants to hand over an extra 50 billion dollars to the UN. The Jew-haters who are in the majority of that odious institution can't wait. That money will buy plenty of weapons with which to kill Jews in Israel and Americans across the globe.

6. Jimmy Carter's wretched one-term presidency will seem like a stroll in the park.

Here's the good news:

1. An Obama presidency will be such a massive failure that after his term is over the country will flock back to the Republicans.

2. Hello President Sarah Palin.

*Bernardine Dohrn on the Tate-LaBianca murders: “Dig it. First they [the Manson gang] killed those pigs and then they put a fork in their bellies Wild!”

**********
And from Melanie Philipps:

What’s happening in this terrifying, Orwellian US presidential race is the flip side of the madness that’s been on display since 9/11 itself, when swathes of the UK population decided that ‘America had it coming to it’ because it supported Israel, and that George W Bush was the most dangerous man on the planet. After the Iraq war started this irrationality swelled into pathological proportions on both sides of the Atlantic, when the ‘Bush lied, people died’ narrative fuelled a hatred of Bush and ‘the neocons’ exceeded in its hallucinatory and murderous venom only by the truly deranged way in which the media and intelligentsia systematically either ignored evidence that did not fit this narrative or, even more astoundingly, reported it in such a way that it delivered the opposite of what was actually happening or being said.
In this way not only has history been rewritten, not only have Britain and America been to a greater or lesser extent turned against themselves and demoralised by the propaganda of their mortal enemies recycled as truth by our fifth-column Big Media, but they have been incited to an ugly and dangerous level of irrationality, hatred and hysteria which history tells us presages the twilight of freedom. It is that media class which, in refusing to tell the public what it needs to know about Barack Obama, may now finally install in the White House the man who personifies the repudiation of the American power and western values that the media and left-wing intelligentsia (of which the media is the mouthpiece) have themselves spared no effort to destroy these past seven years.

Further down, deeply disturbing information about Obama and Palestinian terrorist Rashid Khalili:

Now look at this. Back in April, the LA Times ran this story reporting on the going-away party for Rashid Khalidi, Obama’s close friend, who justifies Palestinian violence against Israel and who was leaving for a job in New York. Khalidi is a deeply troubling individual, a former PLO operative and close friend of unreprentant former Weatherman terrorist William Ayers. As I have reported before, in 2000 Khalidi and his wife Mona held a fundraiser for Obama’s unsuccessful congressional bid. The next year, an Arab group whose board was headed by Mona Khalidi received a $40,000 grant from the Woods Fund of Chicago when Obama was on the fund’s board of directors.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

1. No profanity.

2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

PALIN IN '09 (from VP to President!) AND 2012 "legit"

It's true that Sarah Palin does have the most executive experience
of all the candidates in this election. This experience includes
"spreading the wealth" (see: Alaska's Windfall Profits Tax),
"abuse of power" (see: Troopergate), "questionable expenditures"
(see: Family travel expenses, hair and wardrobe costs).

But let us not get caught up in the here and now.
Let us journey through the past darkly:

From Lil' Sarah Palin's 4th Grade portfolio:

DEMOCRATS = DEMOCRACY
As in "the democratically elected government of..."

REPUBLICANS = REPUBLIC
As in The People's Republic of China
The People's Republic of Cuba

I hope to grow up to: Live in a FREE Alaska and marry Joe Vogel,
the leader of the Alaskan Independence Party.

Mazal Tov on your upcoming marriage!

I assume that Sarah the Alaskan's comment were an attempt at sarcasm, it is hard to imagine that the supposed writings of a Fourth Grader would be held in account towards their future eligibility as POTUS.

On the other hand, during that same time period, wasn't the young Barry Soetoro going to school in Jakarta and registered as a Muslim.....?

not that any of this matters of course

Hi Robert,

The Volokh Conspriracy has a post about this video as well. It also contains a link to the whole radio interview.

It is well worth reading. An excerpt from the post:

On the issue of whether Obama endorses redistribution of wealth through the courts, it certainly sounds to me like he thinks the Rodriguez case (holding 5-4 that unequal funding of public schools does not violate the Equal Protection Clause) was wrongly decided, and that state courts that have mandated equal funding for public schools are correct. But he also seems to think that it was a huge error for activists to try to achieve more general redistribution through the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. (In the waning days of the Warren Court, there was a movement to try to constitutionalize a right to a minimum income.) Co-interviewee Dennis Hutchison even suggests that in pre-interview conversation, Obama agreed with him that Goldberg v. Kelley, establishing procedural protections for welfare recipients, was wrongly decided, or at least promised much more than it could possibly achieve.

I think the whole is well worth reading. Far from being a radical who wants to overhaul our justice system and use it to redistribute wealth, Obama respects it and is very knowledgeable of Constitutional law.

PS: Sarah, if she really is from Alaska, seems to be advocating it is okay to marry dead people, since
Joe Vogler(Joe Vogel?) died in 1993.

I hope she gets over it!!

Shira:

Thanks so much for the link.

Here's a vital quote from the author:

All that said, there is no doubt from the interview that he supports "redistributive change," a phrase he uses at approximately the 41.20 mark in a context that makes it clear that he is endorsing the redistribution of wealth by the government through the political process.

In short: Obama is a classic socialist. Like his terrorist buddy Bill Ayers.

And let me ask you this: If John McCain worshiped in a proudly separatist, Jew & America-hating church for over 20 years, do you think his candidacy would be viable for ten seconds?

Robert,
Don't you find it curious that no one ever responds to your questions?

I believe the reason they don't have the temerity to retort is that the pro-Obama crowd knows how vacuous their arguments are.

Posted by: Lance at October 27, 2008 07:16 PM

Lance:

I have asked several Jews about Obama's long association with Jew & America hater Jeremiah Wright. They all repeat the same Democrat talking point: "Obama didn't know what Wright was saying."

Uh-huh, after 20-years of friendship with Wright and membership in a racist, proudly separatist church.

Which leaves only two conclusions about Obama:

1. Obama's a liar.
2. Obama is the world's worst judge of character.

My belief: both are correct.

Plus: the only answer for an Obama supporter re: the McCain query is that there is a double standard for blacks; thus Jew & America hatred, plus racial separatism, is acceptable among a certain demographic.

Which means, quite simply, that those who hold this belief are defacto racists.

Will somebody explain something to me? Why do so many Europeans gobble up Arab propaganda, about Israel, like icecream? Sitting in Europe, surrounded by libraries where they could check the facts, living in a supposedly civilized society, unlike the Arabs, who live in a culture of hate and lies and have no access to facts, why do so many European journalists and intellectuals profess to believe that Israel is an imperialist, apartheid country that drove the "Palestinians" from their ancestoral homeland? I'm sure every intelligent European realizes that if, G-d forbid, Israel ever falls, Europe is next on the Islamofascist hit list. Every intelligent European knows how the Arabs behave, every chance they get, every country they take over. As Robert said, Israel is the canary in the coalmine of civilization. You would think that any European man who found the prospect of his wife or daughter being raped by 50 HIV positive Arabs a bit disconcerting would be pro-Israel, or at least neutral. But they're not. The conclusion is obvious.

The answer is that Obama wanted to get elected, and once he found a well-attended Black church in a district he could win, he was sold.

He rightly figured that as long as he wasn't running for anything higher than the U.S. Senate, no one in the national media would pay attention to his church. And even if they did, hardly anyone in the national media understands anything about religion, so there was a good chance they wouldn't realize how awful Wright is.

Only the presidential race brought the kind of scrutiny that Obama may have feared, but apparently not enough scrutiny.

Obama lied every time he went in to that church. He was there to establish himself in a community organization that would lead to getting him elected to the state senate and beyond.

Contrast that with McCain, who has really only joned one organization as a true-believing member and that was the US Navy.

I think I'll take the Navy over a culture of victimhood "church" any day.

I am in Algiers now and have been trying without success to contact someone Jewish at the American Embassy. They have a strict policy: they never answer the phone or emails.
I saw the picture (old) of a synagogue in Algiers. Having no other sources, I will ask a guide to take me to synagogues that were converted to mosques.
People I'm speaking with are frightened by the increasing influence of fundamentalists--illustrated by almost all women wearing headscarves, abayas, or chardors(?).

June:

There is an editorial in today's Columbia U. student paper complaining about "racism" against Muslims in the United States. I refuse to listen to such silliness when Muslims can't even live without discrimination in their own countries!

I ask anyone: Would you rather live as a devout and overt Muslim in the U.S. or as a secular non-religious and overt Muslim in a Muslim country?

Duh!

Never forget what you have seen in Algiers June, you will be an important witness to the truth and hipocracy when you come back to the West and hear groups like CAIR and worse whining about Muslim rights in secular countries.

It's like a child in diapers taking his parents to task for not brushing their teeth more than twice a day.

2. Hello President Sarah Palin.

Hello Armageddon and chaos like we haven't yet witnessed. Palin as POTUS is a recipe for disaster.

I do not buy any of the arguments that assert that she he has any substantive executive experience.

I see nothing that leads me to believe that she is capable of learning complex subjects on the fly or that she is a team player that can be trusted to surround herself with smart advisers.

There is a reason why we're reading about a rift between her and McCain's team.
