Good Thing Obama Didn't Meddle or Else Mullahs Might Hang 'Em High

Mass hangings of Iranian dissidents in Iran.
Let's review:
1) Barack Hussein Obama was reluctant to meddle in Iranian affairs because the Mullahs might accuse America of meddling in Iranian affairs.
2) The Mullahs immediately accuse America of meddling in Iranian affairs because they are a bunch of anti-American theocrats who checkmate Obama at every turn.
I'm gratified that the Republicans vocally and forcefully support the Iranian dissidents.
Meanwhile, over in happy go lucky Honduras, President Manuel Zelaya tried to strong-arm himself as El Presidente for Life and was deposed by his congress and the military and Obama immediately jumped in and, ahem, meddled—on the side of a leftist dictator.
Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright must be so proud.
Is it my imagination or does Obama pretty much always cozy up to totalitarians—the Arab Muslim world, Honduras, Cuba, Chavez, The Mullahs—and play hard ball with our allies: Poland, India, the Czech Republic, Taiwan, Israel, Japan, South Korea.
Furthermore, Obama has not a clue as to how to deal with North Korea.
So how is Obama going to deal with the murderous Mullahs?
Sanctions?
Nah, that might make them angry.
No wonder Israel and Saudi Arabia and Egypt have formed an alliance against Iran.
It's clear that every foreign policy initiative Obama has undertaken is a disaster. His current trip to Russia is just silly. What difference does it make if we have a few less nukes? While we downgrade our nuclear capabilities the bad guys, Iran and North Korea are building theirs. And of course, proliferation to Islamic non-state players is emerging as a very real scenario.
Barack Hussein Obama, a radical leftist left unchecked, will unleash the forces of oppression against world-wide democratic reform and heap dishonor on these United States.
Amid mounting reports of a series of executions carried out by the Iranian authorities in recent days following the disputed presidential elections last month, an Iranian lawyer has given this reporter an insight into the legal struggles he is facing in trying to defend some of those now in detention for participating in opposition protests.
The state-run Fars news agency reported that 20 people were hanged at the Karaj prison west of the capital on Saturday, and another 14 executions elsewhere in Iran have been reported by state media since Wednesday, including six hangings at Teheran's Evin Prison. Many of those executed have been described in state media as drug traffickers — a charge often leveled at dissidents.
Iranian police say that about 1,000 people have been detained for involvement in the public protests that erupted after June 12 presidential elections.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.
1. No profanity.2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism. That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.
" ... It's clear that every foreign policy initiative Obama has undertaken is a disaster. ... "
but is it clear to liberals and the MSM ?
maybe if the Mullahs came out with the Sharia and Iranian opinion about abortions,
then,
either Obama with side with them and the MSM and liberals might take notice,
or
Obama might actually take a stand against them
Maybe the Iranians will be too overconfident to realize the left's 'anything-but-that' position on this,
and respond honestly if someone would ask them ...

Exdem:
I think at a certain point honest liberals and the MSM will have to sit up and take notice that Obama's foreign policy initiatives are failures.
Obama's fiscal policies will fail, horribly. That will be clear even to the blind.
OTOH, they probably won't and Obama will end up like Jimmy Carter, a disastrous one term POTUS, and Republicans will, as in the Reagan days, move into the White House for a looooong time.

I'm looking for "Don't blame me, I voted for the other guy" bumper stickers.

Oh, and don't forget the lovely way Obama has mucked up our relationship with Britain, too.

And his domestic agenda ain't too hot either!
The man is a Marxist and the link to Gateway Pundit shows it pretty clearly.
A lot of people toyed with the Left in their stupid and young years. Many grew up, though some never did and went into academia or acting and the Democratic party.
Our President is one of those who never grew out of his radical youth, and now he's inflicting it on the entire country.
People continue to try to rationalize better motives for him, or spin his horrible foreign and domestic policies as being "nuanced" or "puzzling". One column I read said his policies were "befuddled and befuddling".
Robert and others saw the truth, way before the election, so my guess is, Robert, that you find none of this very surprising or befuddling; it's really what you anticipated.

Maurice:
Obama's radical agenda was easy to see. His record as the most leftist US Senator, his membership in an America, Jew hating so-called church, his friendships with so many unsavory leftists.
Total duh.

That "hick" from Alaska kept pointing out who the real Obama was last fall and all the elites could do is call her stupid. But because she didn't tell Katie Couric what she reads the smart people all laughed at her.
But looking back, who was stupid and who was smart? Seems to me that "hick" passed her SATs and the media elites are left with scores that will get them a quick acceptance to the local JC.

Robert - it's not your imagination. I fear one of the things Obama will do - perhaps he has already done it in the last day or 2 - is pull the rug out under the Poles and agree to the Russians to not install the missile defence system in Poland.
The Poles did this after much consternation - having suffered invasions by the Russians and the Nazis - they finally agreed with us and I fear Obama will sell them down the river after agreeing to a treaty negociated by the Bush Administration.
On the financial side - how can any sane person look at what this Congress is doing with "stimulous" and then want to pile on govt "health" care? We will be bankrupt in a few years.

Dear DrCarol: What's worrying ME is the Ku Klux Klan! I don't want THEM issuing bumper stickers that say "We Told You So."
I've thought myself of a T-shirt that says "Don't look at me. I voted for McCain."

Regarding that article Barack Obama wrote when he was at Columbia: Just to be fair, when I was at Syracuse University, I wrote an article for the Hillel newspaper called "Why the United Nations Should be Disbanded."
