The Great Obama Moscow Giveaway

Hellooooo!
Anybody home, anybody paying attention?
The mullahs in Iran are clamping down on the growing chaos. There are mass hangings, arrests and torture of dissidents. But Barack Hussein Obama, by default, has sided with the tyrants by not meddling. Generations of freedom-loving Persians will curse the name of Barack Hussein Obama.
Honduras fought off a coup from Zelaya, a power-mad leftist—duh—and Obama has come out in lock-step with the Castro bros. and Hugo Chavez for the leftist tyrant wannabee.
North Korea is firing off missiles every ten minutes and in response Obama bounces over to Russia where he should be talking tough about Russian support of the Iranian nuclear program, Russian support for the North Korean nukes—y'know, stuff that actually matters to our national security.
Instead, Obama is in the process of selling out America's strategic interests and our allies: Poland, Ukraine, Georgia, the Czech Republic, and of course, Israel.
Hey, remember Obama's talk about, ahem, tough diplomacy?
Well, this is it, folks.
Except the tough diplomacy is directed at Israel.
Because we all know that Jooz are far more dangerous than Muslim terrorists, and Iranian or North Korean nukes.
We know because Jeremiah Wright said so. For over 20-years. To Obama.
Obama's foreign policy can best be summarized as: appeasement on steroids.
As one fine officer in our armed services wrote privately to Seraphic Secret: “For the first time in my career I am convinced that our Commander in Chief is not fit to be the town dog catcher.”
President Obama went to Moscow desperate for the appearance of a foreign-policy success. He got that illusion — at a substantial cost to America's security.
The series of signing ceremonies in a grand Kremlin hall and the litany of agreements, accords and frameworks implied that the United States benefited from all the fuss. We didn't.
We got nothing of real importance. But the government of puppet-master Vladimir Putin (nominally just prime minister) got virtually all it wanted. In Moscow, this was Christmas in July.
Snip.
President Obama's ideological bias against nuclear weapons dates back to his undergraduate years. Yet those weapons kept the peace between the world's great powers for 64 years. A few remarks about deterrence notwithstanding, Obama just doesn't get it.
He agreed to trim our nuclear-warhead arsenal by one-third and — even more dangerously — to cut the systems that deliver the nuclear payloads. In fact, the Russians don't care much about our warhead numbers (which will be chopped to a figure "between 1,500 and 1,675"). What they really wanted — and got — was a US cave-in regarding limits on our nuclear-capable bombers, submarines and missiles that could leave us with as few as 500 such systems, if the Russians continue to get their way as the final details are negotiated.
Moscow knows we aren't going to start a nuclear war with Russia. Putin (forget poor "President" Dmitry Medvedev) wants to gut our conventional capabilities to stage globe-spanning military operations. He wants to cut us down to Russia's size.
Our problem is that many nuclear-delivery systems — such as bombers or subs — are "dual-use": A B-2 bomber can launch nukes, but it's employed more frequently to deliver conventional ordnance.
Putin sought to cripple our ability to respond to international crises. Obama, meanwhile, was out for "deliverables" — deals that could be signed in front of the cameras. Each man got what he wanted.
Full story, by Ralph Peters, here.
And now, some words of wisdom from the Emperor Obama:
“The future does not belong to those who gather armies on a field of battle or bury missiles in the ground.”
—Barack Hussein Obama, July 7, 2009 Moscow, Russia
No doubt, the Islamist world, North Korea and totalitarians everywhere are doing hand stands. America has, at last, installed a true-believing radical in the White House.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.
1. No profanity.2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism. That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.
Robert,
What more can be said....
In Obama, we have an ego driven person whose sole desire seems to be that he wants...needs....to have adulation on a world wide scale.
So what if he has to bring the USA to its knees with his misguided and reckless policies....as long as the world sends him love and kisses all will be fine in his world.
Unfortunately, if Obama is allowed to continue and enact his policies....all may be not so well in ours.

Great post, Robert. I have submitted it to the Watcher's Council. Also, I did not realize until I read the Peter's article the draconian cuts Obama was agreeing to in nuclear delivery systems. I have flushed that out a bit with some numbers at http://wolfhowling.blogspot.com/2009/07/obamas-foreign-policy-take-5.html Obama may be negotiating us out of superpower status and into a position where we can no longer project conventional force. This is frightening indeed. As to the dog catcher statement, couldn't agree more.

Lance:
Obama is the classic leftist cult of personality leader so beloved by the left. He and his handlers understand the mob mentality perfectly and the stage craft involved in Obama's career is a study in totalitarian propaganda with the MSM an enthusiastic cog of the Obama cult.

I'm starting to see the wheels coming off. The poll numbers are down, and the public won't be patient much longer with unemployment rising.

Yeah, that cult leader thing...I just got an e-mail from a "healthy eating" list-serv, and the ad at the top said "Obama asks moms to return to school" with links to sites offering government grants.
We've elected a narcissist who can't find anything good to say about his own country, and can't give any President before him credit for anything (witness his statements about who was responsible for ending the Cold War). Liberals scoff at me when I say he has damaged the country, saying it's not possible to do lasting damage in such a short time. But, oh, it is possible, and Obama has done it.
We are in so much trouble, and headed for so much more. It makes me shudder.

Some proof now: Obama's poll numbers have hit their lowest-ever levels. See RasmussenReports.com

Sorry for another post, but I received this great email today:
If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom , a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when
Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?
If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to a non-existent 'Austrian language,' would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?
If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to remember to pay their own income taxes, would
you have approved?
If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the fourth of
May (Cuatro de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in embarrassment?
If George W. Bush had mis-spelled the word advice would you have hammered him for it for years like when Dan Quayle was when he spelled potatoe as "proof" of what a dunce he is?
If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of tax-payer funded jet fuel to go plant a single tree on "Earth Day", would you have concluded he's
a hypocrite regarding environmental issues?
If George W. Bush's administration had okayed tax-payer funded Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter
in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually "get" what happened on 9-11?
If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have
laughed and said this is more proof of how he inept he is on his own and is actually being controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?
If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in
New Orleans , would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?
If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt in one year, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, would you have
approved?
If George W.. Bush had then proposed to double the debt yet again within the following 10 years, thereby putting your children and grandchildren in such massive debt that it threatens the national treasury, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan's holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, with no
constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of tax-payer dollars to take Laura Bush on a 'date night' to a play in NYC, would you have
approved?
So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can't think of anything?
Don't worry. He's done all this in a mere 5 months -- So, you'll have three years and seven months to come up with an answer.
Naive, incompetent, and uninformed American voters did this to themselves.
Real Americans are starting to wake up. Let's hope it's not too late.

Robert, so many laments about Obama! We, sane, and schooled in prior generations, or schooled out of the mainstream can hardly understand why he is so popular. But he is! It seems to us, crazy. But maybe this is why ...
Obama does what Rush Limbaugh does. For each it is the key to success. What is that key? They merely validate the listener's thoughts. Powerful thing to do, to validate thoughts. Not sure why, but it is a comfort. Oh I know why it is powerful, just kidding, about not knowing why.
It's not at all easy to do, consistently. Our own opinions get can in the way, and there are toxic sidetracks that will kill the channel, turn off the audience temporarily or permanently. It takes a gift to avoid those pitfalls. But Obama and Rush both do it well. It is from hearing Rush mention the technique that I know about it, so I build from there.
Obama is validating the thought processes of the American Education System, as they have been taught in public schools and via mass media (network news, newspapers, movies, pop culture) incessantly and without relenting for at least the past fifty years.
The kids had no choice but to vote for Obama. His speeches turned on every memory neuron of all the years their schooling. They may not be able to balance checkbooks or know who the opponent in the Spanish-American War was, or even badly guess who might be buried in Grant's Tomb. But they hear Obama, and they hear what they learned and feel happy.
Sad, but true. Imo.

And the worst is yet to come- In '78 Jimmy Carter met with Brezhnev, extending his hand in friendship much as Obama is doing in Russia today. After seeing what kind of a zero they were dealing with firsthand, the Soviet Union promptly invaded Afghanistan- in direct violation of promises made to Carter in Moscow six months earlier.
It is hard to imagine today's Kremlin being cowed or intimidated after meeting with a smiley plastic mannequin like Obama, putting his arm around them and schmoozing all the time- they know he's not going to do anything.
Yes We Can invade Ukraine... and what are you going to do about it?

Obama’s ill-advised “stimulus” legislation is a train-wreck- the jobs figures are far worse than the ones the White House warned us about if we DIDN’T pass the bill- so it was passed, and then unemployment soars anyway?
Instead of creating jobs, interest rates were bumped up, the dollar slid… and it didn’t help anybody get any work. Much of this is due to the fact that Obama’s agenda has mortified almost every machine of job-and-growth creation in the country.
The One couldn’t deliver the type of “temporary, targeted, and timely” bill that he promised repeatedly, and regardless of his image in the press, Obama simply lacks the the political stature to control Pelosi and Reid… who hit the trough hard, while bickering like siblings.
And the lack of GOP co-conspirators exposed Obama politically… this legislation now looks to be a HUGE gamble. And when all this pork-n-welfare fails to generate any real economic gains, the Democrats will face a bloodbath in 2010.
One could even make the argument that Obama knows his legacy will be in tatters by 2012... so is just ramming-through as much of his far-left agenda as he can before the day comes when people cringe at the mere mention of his name… sure seems like it.
