Huckabee: “Jews Ought to be Able to Live Anywhere They Want to in Their Own Homeland.”

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee is a Conservative Christian and an outspoken supporter of Israel. Recently, on his 11th trip to Israel—I know tons of U.S. Jews who have never been to Israel—speaks articulately about Obama's demand for a so-called settlement freeze—segregation on steroids.

Unfortunately, Netanyahu has already capitulated, which will, I guarantee, prove to the Arabs that Obama plans to deliver Israel on a silver platter, thus they don't have to make any concessions.

By the way, the bearded gentlemen with the black yarmulke who accompanies Huckabee and speaks to the camera in two cut-a-ways, is Brooklyn Assemblyman Dov Hikind. Dov's wife Shani—an incredible dynamo—is Karen's first cousin.

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

1. No profanity.

2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

Nice to know Huckabee isn't wrong about everything. Now, if he could only extend to Mormons the same respect he extends to Jews ...

As a Catholic I can more easily find a stronger supporter of Israel among our congregation than Obama will ever be.

The scary thing is I can find a lot of devout Christians that are stronger supporters of Israel than a lot of Jewish congressmen. Schumer and Wexler will put the screws to Israel if they were to attack Iran while I am sure you would find overwhelming support among Christians. Huckabee's feelings are the norm among Christians and while I'm against a lot of his ideas I'm glad he spoke so eloquently about this.

Let's give a shout-out to Ateret Cohanim. This is the organization that buys land in East Jerusalem and reclaims it by building Jewish homes and yeshivot.

Here's the website: http://www.ateret.org.il/english/

When did support of Israel fade among America's left? I remember during the 1967 war everyone was rooting for Israel - and 1972 all prayed for her athletes safe return at Munich. Sad to say today among the left some would rejoice at her annihilation.

I am appreciative of political support for Israel, but I often wonder if it is politically motivated. Not to mention I wonder how many politicians go on a trips that they pay for out of their own pocket and not via other means.

I still want to see a "real" definition of what a settlement is. We never seem to get around to that which makes it far too easy to promote propaganda.

Far too many people have this image of a general land grab and not the reality of the situation. They don't see pictures of cities that have been in existence for decades. I think that it is a real problem, but Israel has never been good at hasbara.

The Arabs view towns and cities within the pre-Six Day War borders as settlements. I wonder if Barack Obama also plans to call for a freeze on building there. And in Spain? The Arabs think they're entitled to that, too.
