Obama is going to throw Acorn under the bus. The problem is there may not be any room left after Obama threw Poland and Czech Republic there today. Why should any country want to be our ally today? What are the people in Georgia and Ukraine thinking? Is it smart diplomacy removing the shield from Poland on the 70th anniversary of their invasion? I can understand Obama not learning this in grade school in Indonesia but what about our Sec of State?

Someone on the radio said Obama has a pre 9-11 mentality. I wish! It is more like a pre-1939 mentality. With Obama leaving it up to Israel to take out Iran's nuclear facilities I wonder if he has a poster of Chamberlain on his bedroom wall. Forget a middle name of Hussein. I think his birth certificate will show his real middle name is Neville.

The truth is no honest, able-bodied American at any income level really wants hand outs. The people who are taking these handouts, creating organizations that promote handouts like ACORN, and those politicians who enable them, are all crooks.

This is a great country with clear upward mobility opportunities for anyone who wants to work and take personal resposibility. Geez, even illegal aliens who can't speak English know that.

The fact that groups like ACORN seek to expand the welfare state, even in a bad economy, is proof they are immoral and un-American.

I have often struggled with the Jewish teaching that tells us that we don't say a prayer over charity because nothing like a ritual prayer should delay the giving of charity. We should rush, etc.

Well, considering the terrible organizations in America masquerading as charities that really enable thugs and worse, I wonder if it's time to change our teachings. Take you time with charity, make sure you're really giving to those who TRULY cannot help themselves. Then you can be generous and quick about it.

Obama has betrayed the Poles and the Czechs on the very day the Germans invaded Poland. The Russians are thrilled and the Iranians are jubilant.

1. The teaching is directed at individuals, not at a state.

2. Charity does not always mean a hand-out. As you know, the Rambam considers this the lowest madrega of charity. The highest is to teach a man a trade so he can earn his own living.

It's actually the anniversary of Stalin invading the part of Poland that Germany had not - which makes this so bad. Poland is not worried about Germany (how weird is it to write that), the missles were actually a deterrent to Russia as well as Iran. Putin wins and all he had to do was say boo to Obama. Iran wins and they haven't had to stop filing their fingernails. Reagan wouldn't pull the Pershings even with all the pressure from the Soviets and their front groups in Europe. If Obama were a boxer he would fall down as soon as he hears the bell.

Since he's been in office Obama has managed to p.o. our friends (Honduras, England, Israel, Poland, Czech, Georgia, Ukraine) while giving Iran, NK, Russia reasons to work for his re-election. Obama keeps giving me another reason to be ashamed of our president.

And Happy Rosh Hashanah. When I worked for a law firm I was always second into the office because of a Jewish partner. I would only beat him in during the High Holy Days. I let him win on Easter and Christmas though.

I don't think Iran wins. Iran is developing medium range missiles and those are the ones the new system is designed against. Many recent reports illustrate that Iran is very close to obtaining short and medium range missiles (and the Rumsfeld commission way back in 199 said something similar). But I agree, the timing should have been better from a diplomatic relations point of view!
