Welcome to College Where You Can Major in Jew-Hatred
Learn more about Crossing the Line.
H/T Jack
When Hitler moved to solidify his power base in Germany, he discovered that the chattering classes, particularly university intellectuals, were early and enthusiastic supporters of the Nazi ideology. Scientists, lawyers, artists, and an overwhelming number of physicians were all too willing to provide an intellectual framework for Nazi oppression and genocide.
Moral clarity and courage are rarely found in universities. The chattering classes almost always find justifications for totalitarian rule.
During World War II Jean Paul Sartre—hero to the left— and his high-minded, highly libidinous existential buddies spent the war years yammering away in fashionable Parisian coffee shops while all around them Jews were rounded up and sent to the ovens of Auschwitz.
Thus, it's no surprise that American and European universities are natural breeding grounds for the Islamists who openly plot to destroy western civilization and finish up Hitler's Final Solution, finally.
As we have pointed out, Congo is the murder, rape and mutilation capital of the world, with 45,000 murdered every single month since 2007. Thus over 6.9 million people have been slaughtered.
You would think that the oh-so-compassionate left would be taking to the streets in protest.
But there is a deafening silence in regards to Congo.
Why?
Because there are no Jews to blame.
In fact, every odious charge brought against Israel/Judaism are crimes for which the Islamists and their western enablers are guilty. They are totalitarian thugs who cruelly oppress Jews, Christians, homosexuals and, of course, women. Apartheid is state law in Saudi Arabia—Jews are forbidden to set foot in this racist Muslim kingdom, and Christians are forbidden to worship. And Iran, with metronomic regularity, promises to wipe Israel/Jews off the face of the earth.
Jew-hatred is the coin of the realm in every single Muslim country on the planet. The Jews of Yemen, the last remnants of an ancient and proud Jewish/Yemenite community, are fleeing. Except for the 2,000 Jews of Morocco, the Arab Muslim world is Judenrein.
And the trend to expel Jews from their homes and lands of birth is spreading to Europe.
The Jews of Malmo, Sweden are fleeing.
In one generation, there will be no Jews living in Scandinavia.
The Jews of France and England have been targeted by Islamists and their leftist allies. French and British Jews are quietly making plans to leave their homes. The last time I was in Israel a real estate agent showed me blocks and blocks of empty apartments. “Purchased by French and British Jews who are waiting for the inevitable pogrom that will bring them to Israel,” he explained.
Europe has made a fateful decision. They have decided to trade loyal, productive Jewish citizens for disloyal, sharia-yearning Muslims who are frequently on the dole.
It's a recipe for national suicide.
Make no mistake about it, academic Anti-Zionism is the new Jew-hatred, and Western universities are the breeding ground for this malignancy, the new Reichstag.

UC Irvine, the epicenter of Islamist/academic Jew-hatred in California.
And guess which American church is ushering in the holiday of Purim with some old-fashioned Jew-hatred?

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.
1. No profanity.2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism. That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.
i hope you are wrong about the jews ready to flee the uk because they should be standing by by their christian brothers to see off this menace they call islam !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PCUSA is the Liberal Presbyterian Churches. I forget the group that represents the mainline, not moonbat crazy liberal churches.
PCUSA can't stand on its own, and usually demanding everyone else who is Presbyterian knuckle under to them.

Thank you for the PJTV link.
I try and write a bit about Purim each year and this is a useful reflection on where to go in this year's missive.
I have been using a timeline beginning with the 1st Gulf War and all of Iraq's various links to Purim for the last several years.
Unfortunately, in my timeline, something equivalent to the re-dedication of the Second Temple should have happened by now.
The PJTV article is going to be a jumping off point as to why we have not achieved this ultimate goal by now.
A Gut Shabbos and a Freilichen Purim to you and yours.

The Europeans are dying the death of a thousand (self-inflicted) cuts and they will soon wake up dead. Can't say they weren't warned, but they just can't get over their antisemitism.

There was a column by Nicholas D Kristoff in the new York Times of Feb 10, 2010 about doing something about the Congo, but it's very impractical:

The other side of this coin is the eagerness of universities to establish satellite campuses in Arab states. Berkeley, Stanford, and even my small school have done so. Jewish professors were told that since they could not step foot in the Arab countries to teach at these institutions, they should teach online. Women professors are told they cannot drive off the campus compound.
What's the response? Enthusiastic embrace of schools in Dubai and elsewhere--which, interestingly enough, have not done all that well in bringing tuition dollars to the parent institutions.
I was asked if I would be interested in teaching at our satellite school. I refused. If I am so second class that I cannot practice my religion or move freely about, then my knowledge and expertise is clearly not wanted or needed. I was told that was an unpopular stance, but honestly I do not care.

Dr.Carol,
I salute you!
If an "esteemed capitol of learning" should be looking for a dynamic leader to take them to the next step, they should be knocking on your door.

There's another side to this. German Jewish university professors who migrated to the US were instrumental in helping America win the war. Key scientific posts in pre-war Germany were overwhelmingly Jewish. It was only by driving these scientists out that Hitler could gather support for his regime. However, the left also nicely exploits our disdain for intellectuals, so instead of berating them, we should hold up our own intellectuals like William Buckley, George Will, Paul Nitze and Albert Wohlstetter as worthy rejoinders to the left. As these gentlemen have proven, there is nothing wrong in being an intellectual, as long as you are an intellectual on the...right side.

International History is repeating itself. If you are seeking historical analogies and political examples of modern day Islamic perfidy, look no further than the histories of the monumental political and economic collapse of the State of Byzantium. Muslim propaganda insured that no-one ever heard of the great civilization of Byzantium again (Byzantine currency was continuously used throughout Asia for well over 1200 years), or remembered its folksy name "Rum" or spoke or learned to transcribe its universal language "Latin." No, the Muslims would insure that Byzantine civilization would be erased from our memories, and that anything of interest would be solely credited to the Muslims. European civilization's commercial interests with the Muslims encouraged the economic and political isolation of Byzantium. The West sacrificed Constantinople to appease Muslim hegemony.
