Death in the Corn

The great war correspondent, Michael Yon, reports from Afghanistan.

My first mission with 2 Para was an ambush. We trudged over to a nearby ANA (Afghan National Army) compound where a small contingent of Brits from 2 Para are living and running missions with the Afghans. The journey was less than a half-mile, yet the prospect of being ambushed by direct fire or bombs was very real. Some Brits from the ANA camp, along with Afghan soldiers, helped secure our way. We walked through deserted compounds and a large cemetery, all of which have been the scenes of recent fighting. A British soldier named CPL Matt Desmond saw me, and realized there was a civilian in the bunch. He looked me in the eye and said, “If you see the grenade in the cemetery, don’t kick it!” and he chuckled, though I could see by the condition of his gear and the look in his eye that Desmond was a serious soldier.

A radio call came in that Gib, which we just left maybe 15 minutes prior, was about to get attacked. Good timing, I thought. If the Taliban attacked infantry style, since we were already outside the wire, they might lose track of us, and maybe the platoon I was with could maneuver on one of their flanks and kill them. But the Taliban must have seen us leave Gib, I thought. Because if they were preparing to attack, it would have been smart to watch the base for as long as possible before launching. But who knows? The enemy makes mistakes just like we do.

Some minutes later, we arrived at ANA compound, which was surrounded by Claymores. Claymores are powerful defensive mines that are like super-powerful shotguns. They’ll rip bodies to shreds, and so I never like walking in front of them, but that’s what you’ve got to do to enter these bases. Some Taliban are willing to pay the reaper to “disarm” those mines with their bodies, so that their buddies can follow behind them.

Hey Kids, Let's Watch Palestinian TV!

This delightful clip is not from Iranian TV, nor from Hizbullah or Hamas.

It's from the Palestinian Authority, Fatah TV, Israel's “peace partners.”

Funded by American tax dollars.

At the moment, Olmert and the Kadima party are planning to expel thousands of Jews from Judea and Samaria—because the Gaza expulsion worked out so well.

Once it becomes acceptable to expel Jews from their homes, well, no Jew, anywhere in the world, can feel secure. The terrorists will always voice some grievance that demands the expulsion of Jews from their homes and from entire countries. Once Jews are expelled from Gaza, Judea and Samaria, you can be sure that Jews in Tel Aviv are not safe, nor in New York, Los Angeles, Stockholm, Paris or Hong Kong.

These Jewish populations, will eventually also be expelled by Muslim terrorists on the grounds that the presence of Jews is intolerable. Already, there are neighborhoods in London where Jews cannot safely walk for fear of being murdered by Muslim gangs.

And once Jews are successfully targeted, Christians are next, for Jews are the canary in the coal mine of civilization.

Let there be no doubt, the Palestinian Authority is nothing more than a Jew-hating death cult devoted to eradicating Israel through terrorism and stealth negotiations.

Considering the filth that's broadcast on Arab TV, it's no wonder that Muslims recently defiled the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hevron.

Olmert's Hands: Washed in Blood

Israel has just released another 200 terrorist prisoners as a “goodwill gesture" to Holocaust denier Mahmoud Abbas.

Again.

Because all the confidence building measures in the past have worked out so well.

The results of this cowardly policy are clear: close to two-hundred Jews have been murdered by terrorists released from Israeli prisons. This figure does not include those Jews who have been grievously wounded and disfigured.

This case is even more odious as Olmert released two Arab Muslim terrorists who have blood—a lot of Jewish blood—on their hands.

Well, after releasing child murderer Samir Kuntar, why not?

Two of this particular group bear special mention as an example of the kind of people Olmert is releasing to a hero's welcome among the Palestinians. Muhammad Abu Ali murdered two people. In 1980, he killed Yehoshua Saloma (Hy"d) in Hebron, a young Yeshiva student studying in the Kiryat Arba Yeshiva. Saloma, a new immigrant from Sweden, walked into Hebron from Kiryat Arba to buy some dried fruits for the upcoming Tu B’Shvat holiday. While he was shopping, he was brutally ambushed from behind. Ali later murdered a fellow prisoner while he was in jail.

Said Al-Ataba masterminded an attack on the Petach Tivka market in 1977 that wounded dozens and took the life of an Israeli woman, Tzila Galili, (Hy"d).

Both of them are now free to kill again. And that's not merely a figure of speech.At least 180 Israelis and counting have been murdered by terrorists who had been released from Israeli jails, and that doesn't take into account those that were arrested or killed in an attempt.

Is Gilad Schalit's return from cruel captivity in Gaza part of this deal?

Of course not.

As always with the Arabs, Israel makes suicidal concessions and the world press labels Israel intransient.

The Arabs maintain maximalist positions, and Israel just keeps surrendering blood, treasury and land in the vain hope that the Arabs will eventually give up their genocidal dreams.

But why should they? The Israeli left has turned Israeli into the battered wife. No matter how badly she is beaten, it's always her fault.

Ironic position for leftists to take, huh?

But on the left, compassion rarely extends to Jews and never to Israel.

Olmert, Livni and Barak have turned appeasement and surrender into a finely tuned dhimmitude. The Israeli government and their leftist enablers have become the new Judenrat, self-righteous kapos who determinedly keep sacrificing Jewish lives to the chimera of peace.

There will only be peace when the Arabs have been defeated, utterly and completely. As America defeated Japan and Germany during World War II.

Here's what needs to be done:

1. Israel must institute the death penalty as punishment for terrorism. Arab Muslim terrorists aspire to be new Eichmanns. Israel should reward them with that Nazi's well deserved fate.
2. Terrorists must never be released unless they have served their entire sentences, or they are in a box.
3. When terrorists who have been released from Israeli prisons commit further crimes, those who ordered their release should be prosecuted as accessories to murder.

My Infidel Jewish Doctor

“They booked the entire top floor of the hotel.”

“Expensive.”

“Oh yes. Beverly Hills expensive. So: I'm escorted by a couple of huge bodyguards into one of the suites and there must be fifty courtiers hanging around. And then I see him, sitting in a chair watching television. Thing is, he's watching two televisions at once.”

“The royal Saudi prince.”

I'm in shul, talking with a friend, a prominent physician.

“Right.”

“What was he watching? Oh, please say MTV, and The Playboy Channel.”

“I don't remember, sorry. Anyway, I examine the Prince and give a tentative diagnosis. But I tell them that the Prince has to come into my office for a thorough exam. They say no. I have to fly to Saudi Arabia and do it there.”

“Cool.”

“Not really. Jews are not allowed to set foot on Saudi Arabian soil so I had to go to the Saudi Embassy and fill out special paperwork. I had to show them my tallis and tefillin and get clearance.”

“We should call the ACLU, this is outrageous.”

“Funny.”

“So what happened?”

“I'll tell you what happened, 9-11 happened. That's the day I was supposed to fly to Saudia Arabia. I wasn't going anywhere, certainly not to Saudi Arabia.”

“Tell me something, how did the Prince get referred to you?”

“I have no idea. I asked but they weren't saying.”

"Did they know that you're Jewish?”

“Oh, yes, absolutely. They insist on Jewish doctors.”

I pull a silent movie double-take.

“Shut-up.”

“No really, they asked me for the name of another physician for another prince but stipulated that the doctor had to be Jewish.”

“Why?”

“Well, I know they won't go to their own physicians, and some of my best students were Saudis. There are some very fine physicians there. I suspect they're worried about assassination. There's a lot of that going on The Kingdom.”

My mind is spinning away in screenplay mode; this has all the makings of a great Hollywood comedy.

“I'll bet you got a nice fat fee.”

My friend chuckles.

“Collecting was a nightmare. I had to schlep to the embassy over and over again and fill out a mountain of paperwork in order to get paid. It took over a year. And then they tried to beat down my fee. They paid just half the bill. I had to go after them for the balance. Can you believe that?

“Hey, aren't we supposed to be cheap, at least according to the Jew-haters?”

“From now on I stick with my normal patients. The Saudis, never again.“

Gaza Donors to Obama

“Please elect Obama—so we can slaughter
more Jews and Crusaders.”

The terrorist Jew-haters understand that BO is a moral relativist with no stomach for fighting Arab-Muslim terrorists. Hence, BO is their candidate of choice.

They are cheerfully contributing funds to a man who spent over 20-years as a member of a racist, Jew-hating church, (and BO has the chutzpah to accuse John McCain of racism) a candidate who, even today, refuses to acknowledge that he was dead-wrong about the troop surge that has defeated al Qaeda in Iraq. In fact, BO claimed that the surge would make the situation in Iraq even worse.

Yup, the terrorists know an appeaser when they see one.

As opposed to John McCain who spent more years in captivity, being tortured by the Communist North Vietnamese, than years BO has sat in the Senate.

Last week a BO android showed up at the front door of my home. She requested—actually more like demanded—a $200.00 contribution so I could help effect “change in this country.”

I politely declined.

The BO droid suggested $150.00 dollars for, you guessed it, change.

Again I politely declined.

She finally reduced the price of change to $25.00.

I said: “By the way, what kind of change are you talking about?”

She said: “For a different kind of politics.”

I said: “You mean BO will get rid of campaign fund raisers who chant meaningless slogans?”

Palestinian brothers inside the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip are listed in government election filings as having donated $29,521.54 to Sen. Barack Obama's campaign.

Donations of this nature would violate election laws, including prohibitions on receiving contributions from foreigners and guidelines against accepting more than $2,300 from one individual during a single election, Bob Biersack, a spokesman for the Federal Election Commission, told WND in response to a query.

The contributions also raise numerous questions about the Obama campaign's lax online donation form, which apparently allows for the possibility of foreign contributions.

Last week, the Atlas Shrugs blog outlined a series of donations in 2007 made to Obama's campaign from two individuals, Monir Edwan and Hosam Edwan, totaling $29,521.54.

In an online form on Obama's campaign site, the Edwans listed their street as "Tal Esaltan," which they wrote was located in "Rafah, GA."

Rafah is not a city in Georgia. The Atlas blog immediately raised concerns that the money may have been donated from the Gaza Strip town of Rafah.

How Arab Children Spend Their Summer Vacations: Learning to Kill Jews

I'm sitting here working on a script. There's a Reluctant Hero overcoming all sorts of impossible obstacles in order to achieve his goal. There's The Love Interest, a wise-cracking babe who's like totally messing with Reluctant Hero's head. She's Gloria Grahame—but even scarier, which is to say your basic irresistible femme fatale. There are my antagonists, really bad guys, from a really sick culture, out to destroy my really Reluctant Hero and subvert his really important mission.

At one point, I get kind of stuck. I dunno, sometimes my brain just goes thataway.

Quick, dial up my agent using my new Bluetooth device—oh man, I feel just like Buck Rogers—my agent is reassuringly down to earth, a great sounding board and I go:

“I'm stuck here because blah, blah, blah.”

My agent goes: “Set up a battle, and have your hero kill a whole bunch of bad guys, and we think it's all over, but then, somehow, it turns around and your hero is in even deeper do. Then in Act III you get to pull him out and he completely annihilates the bad guys and their entire set-up. A real blood bath. Good triumphs over evil. Any other questions?”

I'm like, okey dokey.

My agent's also an arch Hollywood liberal—big shockeroo—and we have a great time kibitzing each other.

I tell him he's voting for Obama because B'O looks like that tedious and saintly black Pres. from "24."

He tells me I'm a trigger happy war monger.

Innocent delivery: “What's wrong with that?”

Anyhoo.

After getting this great script advice I cleverly ask my agent about the ongoing negotiations between Israel and Mahmoud Abbas, whose authority extends maybe to the bathroom in the Muqata.

“Israel has to make difficult choices, make some difficult concession,” my agent recites. I'm pretty sure he memorizes the Op-Ed pieces by Nicholas Kristof of the NY Times.

I e-mail him the story below with this note:

Hey, don't you think that a culture that marinates its young in hate, violence, death and Jew-hatred deserves to be treated like the bad guys in my script, y'know, total annihilation?

My agent writes back:

Robert, there is a difference between movies and reality.

I shoot back:

That's a vicious rumor!

My agent responds:

Robert, I'm really worried about your mental health.

Okay, maybe I'm not too normal, but I am sane enough to be worried about a political mind-set that is determined to appease a culture of Islamo Nazis. Olmert might be stepping down—someday—but his approach to the Islamic terrorist culture lives on.

Palestinian children on annual vacation can choose between Hamas or Islamic Jihad summer camps, both of which boast militia-style training, Koran classes, lessons on political prisoners.

In the Gaza Strip, as in Israel, children are currently in the midst of summer vacation, and the Hamas and Islamic Jihad’s “summer camps” are in full gear. In the past few weeks, the Palestinian groups have been holding camps throughout the strip, some of them proudly displaying rockets and other weaponry.

Hamas alone is currently conducting no less than 300 summer camps for tens of thousands of children, and the focus is on familiarizing kids with the Palestinian towns and cities destroyed in 1948, as well as instilling religious fervor in them. The camps also feature sports and military-type trainings such as crawling under barbed-wire.

Islamic Jihad has also launched its own summer camps, offering some 10,000 children activities similar to those of Hamas. The kids study passages from the Koran and participate in quizzes on religious matters, with emphasis on the required commitment to political prisoners and Palestinian land. They also learn how to hold a Qassam rocket-launcher.

Lebanon Celebrates Evil

The Lebanese government is preparing official celebrations in honor of the evil and of brutal terrorist who will be swapped tomorrow for the corpses of IDF soldiers Ehud Goldwasset and Eldad Regev.

The swap is a victory for Hizbullah, and a statement by the present Israeli government that there is no difference between a Jew who is alive and a Jewish corpse.

This course of action does not sanctify, but degrades life.

By yielding to this exchange, every Jew in Israel and the diaspora is rendered an inviting target.

Kuntar, a Lebanese Druse, was 16 when he led "Operation Nasser." On April 22, 1979, he and three other members of Abu Abbas's Palestine Liberation Front sailed on a rubber motor boat under the cover of darkness from Tyre to Nahariya.

Arriving at about midnight on Shabbat, they first encountered policeman Eliyahu Shahar and shot him.

They then entered an apartment building on Rehov Jabotinsky 61, where they took Danny Haran, 28, and his four-year-old daughter, Einat, hostage. Haran's wife, Smadar, hiding in a crawl space above the bedroom, muffled the cries of her two-year-old daughter Yael, accidentally smothering her. As police arrived on the scene, the terrorists pulled Danny and Einat down to the beach, where Kuntar shot him in the back at close range and threw his body into the sea, and crushed her head on the rocks with the butt of his rifle.

Fortress Gaza

Yesterday's terrorist attack in Jerusalem was not the random act of a lone terrorist. Let's be clear, when Israel shows signs of weakness and national resolve melts away the jackals move in to create even more havoc.

Olmert-Livni-Barak, and a majority of the disgraceful Israeli Knesset have, through a series of disastrous policy decisions, weakened Israel's national security and resolve.

The expulsion of Jews from Gaza made the creation of Judenrein, Arab-only zones, acceptable.

The Second Lebanon War was, presumably fought, to bring back the IDF soldiers, Regev and Goldwasser, kidnapped by Hamas.

As we know, the war ended in a cease-fire and the soldiers were never returned. Further, Israel's strategic position was deeply compromised when Livni urged UNIFIL troops on the border.

The siege of S'derot proved that the current government is incapable of protecting her citizens, the primary duty of the state.

The current Hudna with Gaza—a one-way arrangement for Hamas continues her terrorist activities—also proves that Hamas and Hizbullah/Iran can bring Israel to its knees.

And now, trading the most vicious terrorists for dead bodies makes it clear to the Islamic terrorists that Israel places no value on Jewish life for if the Jewish state will trade live terrorists for Jewish corpses, well, there's no reason to keep any kidnapped Jews alive. The Muslim jihadists can safely murder Jews and get the same results from the Jewish State in negotiations.

And so, it is no accident that the human filth went on a killing rampage yesterday. Israel has displayed such lack of fortitude that terrorists everywhere perceive an open season on Jews.

If Israel wanted Goldwasser and Regev returned from Gaza, there was a simple method: denying power, fuel and all supplies to Gazastan until the soldiers were returned.

This should be the policy towards any terrorist state.

Tragically, Israel is allowing Gaza to strengthen its strategic and tactical position and we can expect another bloody disaster if the current government is allowed to steer the national course.

The model for Hamas is Hizbullah's preparations for and conduct of the Second Lebanon War in 2006. The evidence suggests that Hamas is using its uncontested control in Gaza to effect a qualitative change in its abilities and ambitions.

Hamas's strategy derives at the highest level from the group's muqawama (resistance) doctrine. According to this view, Israel's Achilles' heel is its inability to absorb large numbers of military and civilian casualties. Hamas believes Israel's will can be broken through attrition and a steady toll of unexpectedly high numbers of both military and civilian casualties.

In the event of a major IDF incursion into Gaza, Hamas would seek to maintain a steady rain of rockets on Israeli communities around the Strip and to break the sense of armored and air invulnerability hitherto enjoyed by Israeli forces engaging with its fighters. Hamas would of course also try to inflict steady losses of 4 to 10 casualties per day on IDF's ground forces during the fighting. Looking to the 2006 model, the movement's planners believe that achieving these goals could be sufficient to break Israel's will.

Terror Attack in Jerusalem

People started screaming 'he is running us over, he is running us over,'" recounted traffic policewoman Elinor Nahum, 22, who was the first to react, firing at the bulldozer and apparently hitting the terrorist. Another policeman then climbed onto the vehicle and was lightly wounded in a struggle with the attacker.

Finally, an off-duty soldier took a gun from a security guard at the scene and shot the terrorist, who cried "Allah Akhbar" (God is great) before being killed. The soldier, Moshe Plesser, was assisted in neutralizing the attacker by Eli Mizrahi, a member of police's elite Yasam anti-terror unit.

Plesser, 18, is the brother-in-law of IDF officer David Shapira, who killed the terrorist in the Mercaz Harav Yeshiva attack on March 6.

I have a prediction. The big story in the mainstream media will not be the terrorist attack or the victims; but we can anticipate buckets of tears and liberal rage that the terrorist was killed—with too many bullets. They will want to know why the terrorist was not taken prisoner and read his rights.

Al Quaeda's New Strategy

Here's a splendid but chilling analysis of Al Quada's new global strategy for Islamic domination authored by Amir Taheri.

It's worth noting that this strategy is currently being used against Israel: kidnappings, holding of hostages, the use of women and children as human shields, homicide bombings, countless gestures that make normal life impossible for the "infidel" and Muslim collaborators.

Tragically, this strategy has been most effective against the current Israeli government.

Let us be clear: The war waged by the Arabs against Israel is a jihadist war and was characterized as such by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem who, back in the 30's, when he was collaborating with Hitler, declared a holy war against the Jews.

Too many Israelis have embraced the fiction that the war waged against the Jewish State is about refugees, land or so-called occupation.

This is a slick fiction designed to lull Israel into a surrender mode and enable Europe and the international leftist to indulge their most deep seated Jew-hatred behind a fig-leaf of “mere anti-Zionism.”

The strategy outlined is working brilliantly against Israel, who, step by step, have handed enormous victories to the Palestinian Salafist, Khomeinist terrorists in Gaza, Judea, Samaria, Lebanon and Iran.

No wonder the Islamists proclaim their contempt for Israel and the IDF. Israel, the Jewish State, has made it acceptable for Jews to expel Jews from their homes—to create Judenrein villages, towns, entire countries. Further, Israel has made it acceptable to negotiate with Jew-haters and Holocaust deniers about where Jews are permitted to build homes and live their lives.

No wonder the Islamists proclaim their contempt for Israel and the IDF. Israel is negotiating away Jerusalem, and arch-leftist Jews in the west outline intellectual black holes that justify and enable the loss of Judaism's holiest city.

No wonder the Islamists have contempt for Israel and the IDF. Gazastan has terrorized Israel with rockets ever since Gaza was made Juderein, and the Israeli response has been tepid. Now, Israel bows to a foolish truce, even as Gaza continues to launch rockets into Israel. This is not wise state craft, but pure cowardice.

No wonder the Islamists have contempt for Israel and the IDF. They kidnap and murder Jews, then trade Jewish corpses for the most cold-blooded Islamic murderer—true human filth—in Israeli custody.

The Israelis tell themselves that this is a display of higher values. Hizbullah correctly labels it weakness and a lack of patience; a brilliant Muslim victory over the Jewish people.

It proves that crushing the skull of a 4-year old Jewish child is no big deal.

This capitulation to terrorist blackmail declares open season on Jews everywhere.

The Islamists have created a deadly precedent, for if Jews in Israel look to Muslims for permission where to live, well, before you know it there will be zones in Manhattan, Paris, Milan, London, Madrid, Dublin, and Stockholm where Christians will be barred under pain of death.

As Seraphic Secret has frequently written: Jews are the canary in the coal mine of civilization.

The other day, I said to a friend: “I know of no incident in America where a Jew has been kicked out of his home because he is Jewish. I can't say the same about the Israel.”

For the first time in my life I can foresee the end of the Jewish state, not through war, but through incremental steps toward voluntary slavery.

In a notable departure from past al Qaeda strategy, Naji recommends "countless small operations" that render daily life unbearable, rather than a few spectacular attacks such as 9/11: The "infidel," leaving his home every morning, should be unsure whether he'll return in the evening.

Naji recommends kidnappings, the holding of hostages, the use of women and children as human shields, exhibition killings to terrorize the enemy, suicide bombings and countless gestures that make normal life impossible for the "infidel" and Muslim collaborators.

Once parallel societies are established throughout the world, they would exert pressure on non-Muslims to submit. Naji believes that, subjected to constant intimidation and fear of death, most non-Muslims (especially in the West) would submit: "The West has no stomach for a long fight."

Baby Killer: Hero to the Arabs

Israel has just handed a huge victory to Hizbullah and to the world-wide jihadist movement. Israel has agreed to swap a notorious baby killer, and other terrorists, for the corpses of Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev.

Baby killer Samir Quantar, not surprisingly, is a hero to the Arab world. Because he crushed a Jewish child's skull with a rock, because he made the Jewish father watch this bloody deed and then murdered the father, he has become a symbol to the Arab world of their jihad against Israel, against Jews.

Do not fool yourselves that this a "moral victory" for Israel.

This is self-righteous nonsense and deeply delusional.

Moral victories like this result in jubilation in every Arab capital and the guarantee that more Jewish babies will be murdered in cold blood; more Jews will be kidnapped, tortured and murdered by jihadists.

Moral victories like this swap are part of the incremental steps that lead a society to collapse from within.

Moral victories like this reward the IslamoNazis for every atrocity—past and future. It's called positive reinforcement.

When Israel—a land under siege by genocidal enemies—makes national security decisions based on tragic individual cases, that society is doomed because her enemies will move forward, emboldened, to exploit this weakness again and again and again.

We know that Hamas, and Hizbullah, Persia's proxie, are celebrating this infamous deal. But take notice that Fatah, the "moderate" terrorist gang, are also publicly celebrating this human monster's deed and release.

So, sure, go ahead, keep negotiating with the Holocaust denier Mahmoud Abbas, and then hand over East Jerusalem to Fatah.

What could possibly go wrong?

According to the Palestinian Authority leadership, Samir Quntar epitomizes the ideal Palestinian prisoner. Quntar, who crushed the head of four-year-old Eynat Haran with his rifle, is serving four life sentences for murder in an Israeli prison, but is almost certain to be freed in a prisoner swap with Hizbullah this week.

On one hand, Quntar embodies what the PA considers the "heroism" of terrorists fighting Israel. On the other hand, he's the ultimate symbol of all terrorist prisoners who have murdered Israelis and will eventually be freed as a result of future kidnappings or through some other means.

PA TV, controlled by Mahmoud Abbas, broadcast the following picture honoring Quntar. He is depicted beside a map of Israel completely covered by the Palestinian flag.

Following are several recent quotes from PA leaders since April 2008, describing Quntar.

"Samir Quntar, the warrior from Lebanon."

"The brave warrior, Samir Quntar."

"The Palestinian people and the Palestinian leadership are standing behind you (Quntar)."

"You (Quntar) are an inseparable part of the action to free our homeland."

"Your (Quntar) patience and strength are a lesson for us."

Besides bludgeoning Eynat Haran to death with rocks and his rifle, Quntar killed her father and was responsible for the death of her infant sister. He also killed two policemen in the 1979 attack in Naharia. The Israeli cabinet today approved a prisoner exchange that would free Quntar and several other prisoners in exchange for Israeli soldiers Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser, who were kidnapped by Hizbullah in 2006. The exchange could happen within the next few days.

In an unprecedented admission, the office of Israel's Prime Minister revealed today that it is allowing the transfer of hundreds of millions of dollars to the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza due to “Israeli diplomatic considerations.”

Translation: Israel channels hundreds of millions of dollars directly to Hamas because of diplomatic pressure from the Jew-hating EU and the jihadist enabling American State Dept.

In a response letter sent to Attorney Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, director of human rights organization Shurat HaDin - Israel Law Center, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) wrote that the transfer of funds to the Hamas controlled government in the Gaza Strip does indeed regularly take place after "consultations among the relevant bodies." Shurat HaDin had accused the Israeli government of secretly transferring hard currency to the Hamas.

In the initial letter of warning sent by Shurat HaDin on behalf of victims of Hamas terror attacks to the PMO, Attorney Nitsana Darshan-Leitner wrote: “The currency of record in the Gaza Strip is the New Israeli Shekel (NIS). Most of the financial activity in the Gaza Strip runs on a cash basis, using the NIS. Tens of thousands of Hamas terrorists and governmental official get their salary in Israeli currency — in cash. Thus, the transfer of large sums of cash into the Gaza Strip is, by definition, an act that directly fuels the terrorist activity of Hamas and is therefore a violation of the Terror-Funding Act of 2005 and the domestic and international laws against money laundering.”

The Jew-Hating Savages of Paris

The Islam you will not see in the mainstream media

Phyllis Chesler writes about the savage beating of Rudy Haddad, an orthodox Jew in Paris, and the shocking—but not surprising—silence of the arch-liberal media.

Here are several points to consider:

1. The human monsters who committed this atrocity are Muslim.

2. But the French media and the chattering elite, voluntary Dhimmis, refer to the Muslim gangs as French youths, or African immigrants—and a variety of cowardly and clumsy, self-defeating code phrases.

3. This unprovoked attack on a single, innocent and defenseless Jew is not a civil crime, though I'm sure that's how it will be treated. The attack on Rudy Haddad is pure jihadist aggression, and these Muslims should be prosecuted as terrorists.

4. Lack of jobs, lack of education, poverty or unfortunate childhoods will, no doubt, be advanced as the “root cause” of this atrocity. This is foolishness which can lead to national suicide.

5. Jihad has nothing to do with social conditions. It's part and parcel of Islam, a Jew-hating religious ideology that encourages violence against Jews and all non-Muslims.

6. These Islamic barbarians will probably claim that they attacked Rudy Haddad because of anger over “the occupation.”

7. When Muslims speak of occupation they are speaking of the entire state of Israel, a genocidal belief, and besides...

8. Muslim atrocities against Jews go back to the time of Muhammed who ordered the slaughter of the Jews of Medina when they refused to accept Islam and recognize Muhammed as a prophet.

9. Remember: There are always good excuses for killing Jews.

10. The French and all apologists for radical Islam should take note: If Muslims kill Jews and are excused for such savagery, guess who the Muslims next murder?

11. You.

In January of 2006, Ilan Halimi was brutally tortured for three full weeks in Paris by gangs of African Muslim immigrant torturers. The media did not describe them as “Muslims,” but rather as “youth,” “militants,” “gang-members, “immigrants,” and “immigrants from Africa.” Neighbors took turns and joined in torturing Halimi. Other neighbors heard his screams and did nothing. Some came to watch. Halimi died on February 13, 2006. The ringleader of the gang, Youssouf Fofana fled to Ivory Coast in Africa but was extradited back to France. He and 18 others are facing a trial in his torture and murder. American expatriate journalist, Nidra Poller, has written about this horrific case.

Now, a visibly Jewish, kipah-wearing 17 year-old, Rudy Haddad, walking in a Jewish quarter, was set upon by 15-30 “African immigrants.” No one is saying whether they are Muslims or not. Alright, Martians from Africa beat Haddad with iron bars and fractured his skull. Haddad, like Halimi, and like their attackers, are also of African or possibly Arab descent–as was Sebastien Selam who was murdered in Paris in 2003. Haddad has just come out of a medically induced coma.

So, where are all the anti-racists now? I hear no condemnations. The silence is chilling. And all too predictable. Where are the mainstream media? Where is FOX, CNN, MSNBC, and the International Herald Tribune? (Only ABC ran a Reuters’ 190 word story earlier today). When I Googled this story, the first three pages consisted of stories filed by small bloggers and mainly by Jewish and Israeli media. (Military Photos carried a story as well). But where are The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times? For heaven’s sake: Where is Le Soir, Le Monde, and Figaro? Has France’s Channel 2 covered this?

Arguably, Channel 2 bears a great responsibility here for that is the channel that broadcast the fake murder of Mohammed al-Dura and that sued for defamation when Philippe Karsenty described the coverage as a hoax. As we all know, the French Court found that Karsenty’s criticism was not “libelous.” Charles Enderlin, of Channel 2, has vowed to appeal this decision and has gotten 300 of his journalist-buddies to form a circle of support for him.

I think that Haddad’s grieving family and the Chabad community (to which Haddad was apparently connected since he was on his way to pray at the Beth Chaya Mouchka Lubavitch synagogue), might explore a lawsuit (or at least a demonstration) against the state-owned Channel 2 and against Enderlin. If you think this is a far-fetched suggestion, please consider the other options.

Indeed, what is to be done? Do Jews world-wide, beginning in Europe, and particularly in the 19th arondissement in Paris, need Israeli Defense Forces to guard them as they walk to Parisian synagogues?

Israeli Factor in Iraq

Here's an interesting article from Strategy Page that discusses the counter terrorist measures adopted by American troops from the Israeli model.

Perhaps the most vital strategic issue addressed in this analysis is that victory over terrorists can only be achieved when states abandon the notion that terrorism is a police, criminal problem—and moves effectively on the offense with aggressive military action.

The reason Hamas in Gaza have begged for a Hudna is because the Israeli Defense Forces have been eliminating their leaders and destroying terrorist cells with great efficiency. Has no one noticed that the Hamas leadership have gone to the mattresses for the past few months?

The leaders of Hamas and Hizbullah are terrified; in addition their resources have been seriously degraded.

That the Olmert-Livni-Barak government has accepted this Hudna is a sign of their ineptitude. It's no secret that the General Staff of the IDF are profoundly unhappy with the Hudna for it allows Hamas to rebuild their terrorist infrastructure, put new security measures in place, and rebuild their weapons capabilities by smuggling Iranian rockets and highly-trained Persian terrorists into Gazastan via tunnels from Egypt.

The jihadist Islamic world correctly views this Hudna as a victory for Hamas and Hizbullah. Of course the big winner is Iran, now solidifying their stranglehold on Lebanon and seeking hegemony over Gaza, thus surrounding Israel with two terrorist states who have vowed genocide against Israel and the entire Jewish people.

The recent Supreme Court decision handing Habeus Corpus to non-citizen terrorists is not just foolhardy, but deeply dangerous. In effect the court has extended the constitutional rights of an American citizen to Osama Bin Laden.

This is not how a state can effectively wage war against non-state actors.

In fact, it's a recipe for national suicide.

Barack Obama favors a return to the failed pre-9-11 policies—treating terrorism as a criminal problem.

John McCain correctly sees trans-national terrorism as a security threat that can only be defeated by an effective military.

No wonder the Islamic world is cheering Barack Obama's candidacy. They know a leaky vessel when they see one.

For political and diplomatic reasons, it's not likely that the Israelis will get the credit they deserve for the defeat of al Qaeda in Iraq. But it was Israeli concepts and tactics that helped bring IED (roadside bomb) casualties down from a high of 84 a month in May of 2007, to a low of 9 in May of 2008. While the new armored vehicles (MRAPs) and other technology (jammers and UAVs) played a role, it was the Israeli concept of going for the brains behind the bombs, that tore the heart out of the Islamic terrorist organizations in Iraq.

The armed forces of the U.S. and Israel have long worked together, to exchange tactics, techniques and technology. One of the items the Israelis shared was the tactics they developed to defeat a Palestinian suicide bombing campaign that began in 2000 (after Palestinian radicals refused to accept a recently negotiated peace deal).

The Palestinian terrorist groups still say they are going to destroy Israel. But as a practical matter, the current round of Palestinian terrorist violence is over. You can see this by the sharp decline in successful terrorist attacks, and the frequent pronouncements from the terrorists groups that they are going to behave, for a while anyway. What the terrorists really want is to avoid any more of the Israeli tactics that shot down their terrorist operations. This included going after terrorist leaders and technical specialists, and either capturing or (failing that) killing them. Raids and air attacks were made against buildings used by the terrorists, and tight security on Israelis borders were instituted. This last measure crushed the Palestinian economy, which put popular pressure on the terrorists to stop their attacks, and promise to keep it that way. The Israelis also set up an increasingly effective intelligence system inside Palestinian territories. What the Israelis did was "take the war to the enemy." This is an application of the old maxim, "the best defense is a good offense." This particular war is still going on, but the Israelis only adopted their winning tactics in 2003 and two years later the terrorists were rendered largely ineffective.

Canadian Muslim Terrorists: Kill Rats or Jews, No Contest

But of course, this has nothing to do with Islam.

The alleged leader of the alleged Toronto 18 terror bomb plot had just broken the news to one of his alleged co-conspirators that the house they were thinking of renting as a base had a rat problem.

"I don't like wanna live with rats," the leader said.

The co-conspirator, who clearly was still pining and pushing for the house rental, inquired rather timidly, "It's permissible to kill rats?"

The leader thought about it, and concluded, a bit reluctantly, that rat-killing was probably allowed by the Koran.

"Is there any good about rats?" the co-conspirator asked.

Well, said the leader, a little anguished because such matters are not so simple, only that the rat "is a creature of Allah."

Jews, not so much. There was no such hand-wringing about Jew-killing.

Jews, the leader had told this same co-conspirator and two others a month earlier, you can kill with abandon. Because of what they had done to Palestine and "stuff like that, they're all our enemies. It's not enough to say they're only my enemy in a certain part of land, they're your enemy everywhere you see them....every single Jew is your enemy."

The Mortal Threat: Western Relativism

Italian journalist and Muslim convert to Catholicism, Magdi Allam, warned this week that Islam is growing as a result of the ideology of relativism that pervades the West and claims that there are many truths instead of one unique Truth.

In an article published by the magazine Mundo Cristiano and quoted by Analisis Digital, Allam explained that relativism, which attributes “equal dignity to everything regardless of the content” has made it possible for extremism and Islamic terrorism “to be introduced and to take root” in Europe, to the point that there are Islamic extremists with European citizenship who “act upon and spread an ideology of hatred and violence.”

Likewise, Allam, who was recently baptized by Benedict XVI, said it was impossible to be a moderate Muslim, because the religion of Islam is “physiologically violent, as confirmed by certain verses from the Koran that defend an ideology of hatred, violence, death and condemnation of those who are not Muslims. This way of thinking comes from Mohammed,” Allam said, adding that Islam is an “intrinsically violent” religion.

Asked about his conversion to the faith, Allam said he was convinced by the preaching and testimony of Benedict XVI, whose “strong affirmation of the relationship between faith and reason as a foundation for understanding the authenticity of true religion” fascinated him.

Hamas + Iran: “Never Forego Jihad Against Israel”

The other day Seraphic Secret suggested that in the war against terror one should always listen to what the terrorists are saying.

Too many in the west take refuge in the delusion that the terrorists don't really mean what they say; it's just overblown rhetoric, insist the chattering classes, typical of Arab-Muslim culture that places a high premium on flowery language.

This is deeply paternalistic if not outright racism.

I respect the terrorists as a formidable enemy of Jews, Israel, Christians, and western civilization. The jihadists believe deeply in their facist Islamic ideology. They manipulate the dinosaur media, and the laws and courts of western democracies to further their own murderous ends. At the same time they make no secret of their genocidal intentions.

It would be nice if more Jews, Israelis, and western democracies believed as deeply in their own Judeo-Christian values and thus recognized and were prepared to fight the existential threats from the Islamic world: a war that's been going on in various permutations for fourteen centuries against any and all who do not embrace Islam.

And yes, I say Islam because you cannot take the Islam out of the Islamists.

Hamas in Gaza and her citizens, who overwhelmingly voted this genocidal gang into power, are making war on Israel, on Jews everywhere. Gazastan does this with the full aid of Iran and the Egyptian government who allow Iranian weapons to be shipped into Egyptian ports, from there trucked by highway to the Gaza-Egyptian border, and then right into Gaza.

This is the peace Israel gets from Egypt in exchange for returning the Sinai.

Remember it's never land for peace; it's always land for war. As a friend, a member of the Cheyenne tribe warned me: “We traded land for peace with the American government, and look what happened to us. Don't let Israel make the same mistake.”

The longer Israel waits to subdue Gaza, the more hazardous the operation and the more casualties.

For those who harbor any illusions about Hamas and Iran's eliminationist intentions, here's the cry of Islamic terror loud and clear.

Chief Hamas terrorist Khaled Mashaal said Tuesday that the terrorist organization would never forego jihad against Israel, and thanked the Iran for its ongoing support of terror activities against Israel and Jews around the world.

Mashaal made the comments to Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei during a visit to Tehran. Khamenei encouraged Hamas to continue murdering Israelis and Jews, saying a failure to do so would "disgrace" the terror group.

The Price of Appeasement: Again

It's really quite amazing. The delusional peaceniks who keep calling for Israel to make, ahem, painful concessions, never seem to notice that each concession leads to a withering of Israel's deterrent capabilities, and more threats of annihilation from her jihadist enemies.

Here's a simple rule for Israel—for Jews—to keep in mind:

Never listen to those who urge giving up land for peace. Instead, listen to what the terrorists are saying. They make no secret of their tactics nor their long range genocidal strategy.

In short, when Jew-haters say that they are out to destroy Israel, you should take them seriously.

Terrorists in the Gaza Strip are rejoicing at an Israeli decision today to evacuate troops stationed at a major Gaza-Israel border crossing following repeated Palestinian attacks against Israel's side of the border station.

"This retreat proves the Israeli army is a paper tiger. What we proved to the world in 2005 (when Israel evacuated its Jewish communities from the Gaza Strip) we are proving once again. We are reaching a new step and proving our resistance and our rockets are working," Muhammad Abdel-Al, spokesman and a leader of the Hamas-allied Popular Resistance Committees terror group, told WND.

"Just as the Zionists are running from the border, they will also run from Ashkelon, Ashdod, Jerusalem, Jaffa, Haifa and Tel Aviv ... . We will keep firing until every Jew climbs back into the sh--ty hole he came from," said Abdel-Al, whose group took responsibility for scores of recent attacks against the Israeli border.

Abu Ahmed, a leader of the Islamic Jihad terror group in Gaza, called Israel's troop evacuation a "victory."

The Fall of Lebanon

A few days ago, in our Idiot's Guide to the Israeli-Syrian Negotiations, Seraphic Secret wrote:

Syria has no intention of moving away from Iran's orbit. In fact, Syria's intelligence services are busier than ever in Lebanon helping Hizbullah—Persia's proxy—extend its dominance over the country. This is actually the seminal story in the Middle East. Lebanon is toast. Hizbullah is hollowing out the state and Shia dominance is almost assured.

I'm pleased to see that Professor Barry Rubin agrees with me.

Here, in an important essay, Professor Rubin analyzes the fall of Lebanon, what it means for the region, how history should, but is not serving as a guide for the freedom-loving West, and how Barack Obama might be the most clueless presidential candidate in the history of the Republic.

According to Obama at an Oregon rally, Iran does not “pose a serious threat” to the United States. His reasoning is as disturbing—or more so—than his conclusion. Obama explained that Iran has less to spend on defense and if it “tried to pose a serious threat to us they wouldn’t . . . stand a chance.”

We can now feel secure that the Iranians won’t load their soldiers onto landing craft and storm the New Jersey beaches. Unfortunately, that isn’t their military strategy. Perhaps Obama doesn’t understand that the average B-1 bomber costs less than a suicide bomber. Has he heard about asymmetric warfare?

Forget that. Has he heard of terrorism, the Marine barracks’ bombing, or September 11?

According to Obama:

"Iran they spend one one-hundredth of what we spend on the military. I mean if Iran tried to pose a serious threat to us, they wouldn't stand a chance. And we should use that position of strength that we have to be bold enough to go ahead and listen. That doesn't mean we agree with them on everything. That doesn't, we might not compromise with them on any issues. But, at least we should find out are there areas of potential common interest and we can reduce some of the tension that have caused us so many problems around the world."

One cannot pretend away the implications of this paragraph. Let’s list them:

—No understanding that Iran follows strategies designed to circumvent that problem of unequal power including terrorism, guerrilla war, deniable attacks, long wars of attrition, the use of surrogates, and so on.

—The only way Obama sees for using the U.S. “position of strength” is to listen to their grievances, as if we are not familiar with them. In short, the only thing you can do when stronger is to get weaker. Presumably the same applies when you are the weaker party.

—Why is he so totally unaware that dialogue has been tried? A decade with the PLO, longer with Hizballah by other Lebanese, four straight years of European engagement with Tehran over the nuclear issue, multiple U.S. delegations to talk with the Syrians, and so on. Was nothing learned from this experience?

—And what happens afterward if Obama’s dialogue doesn’t work? What cards would he have left? What readiness to try another course? Perhaps by then the Iranians will have nuclear weapons and other gains negating that “position of strength” so fecklessly frittered away.

—What possible issues can the United States find to compromise with Iran? Let’s say: give them Lebanon (oh, we already did that); ignore their sponsorship of terrorism; give them Iraq; give them Israel; withdraw U.S. forces from the region, accept their having nuclear arms. What?

—Why should the United States be able to reduce tensions through negotiations when Iran wants tensions? There is an important hint here: if the United States makes concessions it might buy off tensions. Since Iran and the others know about Obama’s all-carrots-no-sticks worldview, they will make him pay a lot to get the illusion of peace and quiet.

—There is no hint, not the slightest, of his understanding the option of using power to intimidate or defeat Iran, or as a way to muster allies. If Obama had the most minimal comprehension of these issues, he would fake it with some blah-blah about how America would combine toughness with flexibility, deterrence with compromise, steadfastness in order to gain more from the other side in negotiations. A critical element in peace-keeping, peace-making, and negotiations is to act tough and be strong in order to have leverage. Even in responding to criticisms, Obama has only talked about whether negotiations are conditional or unconditional and at what level they should be conducted. He is oblivious to the fact that the chief executive does things other than negotiations.

Make no mistake, Obama is channelling Neville Chamberlain—precisely because what he says shows his parallel thinking. Many people may get a chill listening to Obama but it certainly isn’t a Churchill. Apologists, sympathizers, and wishful-thinkers keep endowing this would-be emperor with beautiful suits of clothes. The checkpoint commander is a 22-year old officer from the Nachal Brigade — his unit took over the checkpoint for the first time yesterday. Corporal Michal Ya'akov, from the IDF military police is also assigned to the checkpoint. The checkpoint commander said the following incident lasted 8 seconds.

Intrafrada: Welcome to Gruesome Gaza

Preparing the next “image” for Gaza's popular pastime.

Obviously, all the fault of the Zionist enterprise, code for: Jooz.

A popular pastime in Gaza is swapping gruesome footage of dead or dying victims of the Strip's incessant violence.

The images used to be almost exclusive legacies of clashes with Israeli forces but last year that changed. Now being far more keenly traded are snapshots of Palestinian fratricide, gruesome images taken by "militia-cams' that record scenes for posterity.

Spend any time near the emergency ward of Gaza's Shifa Hospital and security staff or ward workers will offer a look at their mobile phones, which they'll quickly switch to video mode to show images of victims of intra-Palestinian clashes being wheeled in agony from ambulances.

Sit in a town square for more than five minutes and you'll be quickly encircled by youths clamouring to outdo each other with images of death and mayhem.

A veritable library of the "intrafada" now exists in Gaza among militias and clans. Most were added during 2007, when the numbers of intra-Palestinian deaths jumped by 800 per cent — from 55 to 439 — almost all of the deaths in Gaza.

Last year was, by any measure, a revolutionary year in Palestinian politics. More than at any time in the previous two decades, the two most dominant political blocs were willing to bid for influence through the barrels of their Kalashnikovs.

Another factor that contributed to the violence, however, was a creeping radical Islamicisation — a small but growing number of youths in Gaza hitching themselves to an al-Qa'ida world view that pitches them against the rest of the Strip and renders, as fair game to be killed, anyone seen as acting "un-Islamicly'.

A spate of so-called honour-killings of women accounted for about 25 per cent of the body count — far higher than any of the years before.

I just noticed that Soccer Dad also covers this story, but he provides some invaluable links which reveal that this gruesome behavior in Gaza has ample precedent in the fratricide-ridden Arab world. What's most shocking is that the Gazans really do blame the Israelis for their own barbaric behavior. A refusal to take responsibility for one's own actions is a sure sign of an immature mind, a degraded society.

Hamas: We Will Persecute and Burn the Zionists to Eternity

Olmert's peace partners give the official Palestinian Nazi salute.

Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar said Wednesday that a Palestinian state will be established on all of the land of Palestine and not only on parts of it, and that it will include "Jaffa, Lod and Haifa."

Zahar also reiterated Hamas' unwillingness to recognize the State of Israel and said that the group "will continue to persecute the Zionists wherever they are, after we prove that the Zionist army can be defeated — contrary to what was believed in the past, that it is impossible to beat the Zionists."

Speaking in the Gaza Strip, he went on to affirm Palestinian right of return, claiming that the "right of return of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians is closer than ever."

"After we defeat the Zionists we will persecute them… we will persecute them to eternity, and the sun of the freedom and independence of the Palestinians will burn all of the Zionists," he continued.

I have a few questions and observations:

1. Why is this terrorist Jew-hater still alive? One hellfire missile from an Israeli drone will feed hell.

2. Why is Israel supplying fuel, power and medical supplies to Gaza? The Arabs who live in Gaza elected Hamas, thus overwhelmingly endorsing their genocidal program. Gaza shares a border with Egypt. Let the Egyptians supply, no doubt, brilliant medical care to their beloved Arab-Muslim brothers.

3. In the past few days mortars and rockets from Gaza have slaughtered two Israeli citizens, Jimmy Kedoshim, 48 and Shlomit Katz, 70. This morning, a missile from Gaza scored a direct hit on a shopping center in Ashkelon injuring a dozen men, women and children. The rocket was a Grad Missile, designed and brought into Gaza from Persia. It has a larger payload than the Quassam and a range of 12 miles. The technology will only improve. The corrupt PM Olmert has been negotiating with Holocaust denier and terrorist leader Muhamar Abbas. This is not just appeasement, it's self-strangulation on a national level. The first duty of the state is to protect all its citizens—not just the latte sippers in Tel Aviv. Yes, I guarantee, if missiles from Gaza were hitting Tel Aviv, Olmert would invade Gaza faster than he'd take a bribe.

4. Not only is Olmert negotiating with Abbas, but he's been negotiating a cease-fire, in reality a hudna‚ through Egypt, a leaky partner for Israel—with Hamas. This signals to the Arabs that Israel has lost the will to fight. No wonder Hamas boasts of destroying Israel and burning Jews. At this point, Olmert and Livni are no less than enablers of Hamas and all transnational terrorist groups who seek to eliminate Israel and rid the world of Jews.

5. Once again, Seraphic Secret urges Israel to cut all fuel, power and medical supplies to Gaza.

6. Israel should announce that each rocket, mortar and missile from Gaza will be met with an automatic response of ten shells to one. Thus it will be quite clear who is responsible for the rain of destruction.

7. If the attacks from Gaza don't cease within ten days, carpet bombing should commence. The civilian population will be warned in advance so they can make their way to Egypt, into the warm embrace of their generous Arab-Muslim brothers.

8. Gaza is an enemy state and should be treated as such.

9. Olmert is an appeaser and should be recognized as such.

10. If Israel continues with her current policies of appeasement, she will soon be bracketed by an Syrian-Persian controlled Lebanon—a done deal—and Gaza, a proxie for Persia. Israel must act with overwhelming force to short-circuit this Shia terror encirclement, and to reestablish regional deterrence. All else is suicide in slow motion.

11. And unless Israel deals decisively with these barbarians, then Israel will soon be subject to this sub-human jihadist savagery.

The Fleet Positions Itself for War Against Iran

Currently, there is a large U.S. naval deployment that points to a an overwhelming military strike against the Persian nuclear facilities. The carrier rotations indicate a clear tactical pattern for war.

Why now?

Iran will not willingly give up her nuclear ambitions. That much is clear. Iran is intent in spreading its hegemony throughout the region. Currently, she is, through her proxy Hizbullah, in the process of turning Lebanon into another Gaza.

We can assume that America and Israel are sharing intelligence on this operation. The Saudis, who fear and detest the Shia Persians are, no doubt, opening their files on their Muslim brothers. The Gulf Sunnis are as anxious as Israel to defang the Shia Mullahs.

President Bush and his advisers cannot risk an Obama presidency, in effect, a second Jimmy Carter. Obama, an entrenched leftist, is an appeaser. The Persians, and every transnational terrorist movement, would eat him—and us—alive.

Nuclear weapons in the hands of the Mullahs would be a disaster for the region and for the civilized world. President Bush understands the geopolitical implications. And yet the American press yawns in the face of a regime that denies one Holocaust while it promises another.

Six weeks ago, President Bush signed a secret finding authorizing a covert offensive against the Iranian regime that, according to those familiar with its contents, “unprecedented in its scope.”

Bush’s secret directive covers actions across a huge geographic area – from Lebanon to Afghanistan – but is also far more sweeping in the type of actions permitted under its guidelines – up to and including the assassination of targeted officials. This widened scope clears the way, for example, for full support for the military arm of Mujahedin-e Khalq, the cultish Iranian opposition group, despite its enduring position on the State Department’s list of terrorist groups.

Similarly, covert funds can now flow without restriction to Jundullah, or “army of god,” the militant Sunni group in Iranian Baluchistan – just across the Afghan border — whose leader was featured not long ago on Dan Rather Reports cutting his brother in law’s throat.

Other elements that will benefit from U.S. largesse and advice include Iranian Kurdish nationalists, as well the Ahwazi arabs of south west Iran. Further afield, operations against Iran’s Hezbollah allies in Lebanon will be stepped up, along with efforts to destabilize the Syrian regime.

Our observations regarding developments began back in September of last year, as we began to watch how the rotations would come together for 2008. We have discussed 6+2 strategy for carriers before. The carrier strategy which was enabled by the Fleet Response Plan was designed to insure the Navy has 6 aircraft carriers available within 30 days to anywhere in the world, with 2 more available by 90 days. The theory is that beyond 90 days, the other 2 carriers not conducting a nuclear refueling would be available within 180 days. 6+2 is theory though, it usually involves several of those 6 carriers returning from deployment, thus the 30 day metric.

However, as the rhetoric builds, we observe 6+2 is getting very close to reality. Lets count them down.

Whitewashing Hamas

An important commentary from Caroline B. Glick, the woman who should be Prime Minister of Israel.

Another ordinary week has come and gone in southern Israel.

Bombarded by rockets from Hamastan in Gaza, residents of Sderot, Ashkelon and nearby towns watched as their national leaders conducted negotiations by proxy with Hamas to release hundreds of terrorists in Israeli jails and consolidate Hamas's weapons supply lines by suspending Israeli counter-terror operations during a "cease-fire."

Between trips to the local bomb shelter, they watched Israeli trucks deliver fuel and supplies to Hamas in Gaza in the morning; and they watched Hamas store the fuel and supplies in depots near the border in the afternoon. In the evening they watched news reports echoing Hamas' claims that Israel is depriving Gazan hospitals of fuel and Gazan civilians of basic foodstuffs.

Wednesday night they tried having a Yom Hashoah ceremony in Sderot but it was interrupted by incoming missiles. For its part, Hamas marked the Holocaust with a documentary series claiming that the genocide of European Jewry was a satanic Jewish plot to cull the Jewish population of its handicapped and to manipulate the world media.

Hamas captured headlines this week with its allegation that Israel was responsible for the death of a Palestinian woman and four of her children in an explosion in Bet Hanoun in Gaza as the IDF targeted Hamas terrorists from the air. The IDF conducted two investigations showing that the woman and her children were killed by something else: a secondary explosion caused by bombs the Hamas terrorists — one of whom was her husband — were carrying at the time the IDF targeted them.

Hamas TV: Jews Planned Holocaust to Kill Disabled

While Jimmy Carter was meeting with Hamas, the terrorist group made the most of the legitimacy bestowed upon them by this Jew hating Democrat by producing for Arab TV an “educational film” about the Holocaust—Palestinian style.

Good job, Jimmy!

Yup, in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day, which is being observed today in Israel and America, Hamas commissioned a television program that claims a gruesome conspiracy between the Nazis and the pre-state Jewish leadership.

And don't forget Hamas has endorsed Barack Obama.

No wonder the Arab world hates Israel and Jews with such passion. They are fed lies from cradle to grave.

Let me repeat the obvious: the wars between Israel and her Arab neighbors has nothing to do with so-called occupation, boundaries, walls, or a Palestinian state.

It's about Jews living and breathing in the mideast.

According to the documentary's narrator, Israel's first prime minister David Ben Gurion decided that Jewish “disabled and handicapped are a burden to the state,” after which “the Satanic Jews” —the film cuts to a picture of a hassidic Jew — “thought up an evil plot to be rid of the burden of disabled and handicapped” — the film then cuts to piles of emaciated corpses — “in twisted criminal ways.”

“This is official Hamas TV,” explained PMW director Itamar Marcus. “It's owned and totally controlled by the Hamas leadership in Gaza, and it goes out by satellite to the whole Arab-speaking world.”

And remember, Israel is supplying Gaza with the energy and fuel with which this and other fine educational movies are produced.

Keep it up Israel.

Hamas: All Out for Obama

Hamas says: Vote for Barack Hussein Obama—Or Else!

Last night during the Democratic debate, as Obama explained that his way of dealing with the Persian nuclear threat was by talking to them, my fearless wife turned to me and said:

“I'm scared.”

I nodded my head in agreement.

Both candidates promise to surrender in Iraq and thereby turn Iraq into a province of Iran.

Obama, the most left wing member of the Senate, with a voting record even more left wing than Senator Edward Kennedy—that's quite a feat—didn't answer one question directly. He's the slippery politician cleverly disguised as an anti-politician.

I realized that much of Obama's appeal lies in is his voice. He sounds like an oboe. He sounds like he knows what he's talking about. His well modulated tones are soothing. You feel like you can fall asleep listening to Obama drone on and on—he's like an appealing Philip K. Dick android—and when you wake up all will be well.

In truth, it's a well crafted illusion.

Look, I'll be honest, I hope the Democrats nominate Obama because the more the American people learn about this radical leftist, the more they will be inclined to vote for John McCain. Last night, by refusing to give straight answers, Obama revealed his shallow core. For if Obama were to give straight answers, the American electorate would flee from his banner in record numbers.

But of course, the Jew-hating jihadists recognize a potential Trojan horse when they see one:

On the eve of a planned meeting of its leader Khaled Meshaal with former President Jimmy Carter, the Hamas terrorist organization has expressed the "hope" that Senator Barack Hussein Obama will win the presidential elections and change America's foreign policy.

Even though Obama has said that he would not meet with Hamas unless it renounces violence and recognizes Israel, or becomes the recognized leadership of the Palestinians -- he has no qualms about holding talks with the leadership of Iran, Syria, and North Korea -- that doesn't seem to bother the Hamas leadership.

"We like Mr. Obama, and we hope that he will win the elections," Ahmed Yousuf, Hamas' top political adviser in the Gaza Strip, said in an exclusive interview with World Net Daily and with the John Batchelor Show on WABC Radio in New York.

He saw Obama's comments about Hamas as political posturing that was understandable to lull supporters of Israel before the election.

Poison Plot c/o Pardoned Fatah Terrorists c/o Olmert

Last week, we linked to a story about a gruesome plot by Fatah terrorists to poison the food in an Israeli restaurant and murder as many Jews as possible. It turns out that this plot was hatched by Fatah members who were released from Israeli prisons in an amnesty deal brokered by PM Olmert and his government.

Seraphic Secret draws some core lessons from this latest Palestinian atrocity.

1. Terrorists should never be pardoned. They should either be killed or locked in jail for life.
2. When an Islamist makes an agreement it's worthless. Jihadists have no honor. They are liars who will do and say anything in order to kill Jews and Christians.
3. Fatah is and always has been a genocidal terrorist organization.
4. Prime Minister Olmert and Foreign Minister Livni are a clear and present danger to the Sate of Israel. They ignore S'derot—under steady bombardment from Judenrein Gaza—all the while making nice to Mahmoud Abbas, a Holocaust denier and and a terrorist.
5. The more concessions Israel makes to her enemies the more terror she invites.

The terrorist cell that planned to poison an Israeli restaurant this month was led by jihadists who were recently granted amnesty by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, WND has learned.

The pardoned terrorists, members of Fatah's Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, were directly involved in orchestrating the foiled attack, according to defense sources. They were granted amnesty in October as a stated Israeli gesture to help bolster Palestinian Authority President and Fatah Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.

The terrorists were given amnesty on condition they disarm, refrain from attacks and spend three months in PA detention facilities and another three months confined to Nablus, the northern West Bank city in which they reside.

Fatah: "Drive Them [Israelis] All Out of Palestine"

Abbas Zaki: We believe wholeheartedly that the Right of Return is guaranteed by our will, by our weapons, and by our faith.

Interviewer: Do you still believe in weapons, not just in negotiations?

Abbas Zaki: The use of weapons alone will not bring results, and the use of politics without weapons will not bring results. We act on the basis of our extensive experience. We analyze our situation carefully. We know what climate leads to victory and what climate leads to suicide. We talk politics, but our principles are clear. It was our pioneering leader, Yasser Arafat, who persevered with this revolution, when empires collapsed. Our armed struggle has been going on for 43 years, and the political struggle, on all levels, has been going on for 50 years. We harvest U.N. resolutions, and we shame the world so that it doesn't gang up on us, because the world is led by people who have given their brains a vacation – the American administration and the neocons.

Young Palestinian: As I recall, the invasion of 1982 and the destruction of South Lebanon was not just in response to missile attacks, but in response to operations as well. Israel does not use only the missiles as a pretext. It uses any activity of the resistance as a pretext.

Abbas Zaki: The important thing is that in any operation, Israel will pay a price. We don't want cases in which you don't kill even a chicken, but Israel kills 20 of you. I salute any operation that makes Israel pay a heavy price.

The P.L.O. is the sole legitimate representative [of the Palestinian people], and it has not changed its platform even one iota. In light of the weakness of the Arab nation and the lack of values, and in light of the American control over the world, the P.L.O. proceeds through phases, without changing its strategy. Let me tell you, when the ideology of Israel collapses, and we take, at least, Jerusalem, the Israeli ideology will collapse in its entirety, and we will begin to progress with our own ideology, Allah willing, and drive them out of all of Palestine.

Eat, Drink, Die

Palestinian restaurant workers planned to serve, gee, what a shock, dishes laced with poison to Jewish patrons.

Here's another stunner. The terrorists are aligned with Fatah, the very group with whom Prime Minister Olmert is negotiating.

Yup, Olmert and Livni are propping up a genocidal Arab regime who are no different than Hamas.

Oh, wait, I'm sorry. Mahmoud Abbas does wear nice suits. They are made in London by the best bespoke tailors. In fact, the very tailors who cut the suits for the corrupt Columbia Professor Edward Said, who also looted money from Fatah for his sartorial pleasure.

Look, they're all a bunch of corrupt bums who have no interest in building a state, only in destroying a state—Israel—and, naturally, these Palestinian, ahem, leaders, steal as much money as possible.

That's our American tax dollars at work.

And EU currency being used to plot terror attacks in the heart of London.

In the meantime, Jew-killing is the name of the game, the more gruesome the better.

Y'know, when terrorists plan on killing Jews and the Prime Minister of the Jewish state rewards the terrorist entity with er, peace talks, it only encourages further terrorist attacks.

It's called positive reinforcement.

The thwarting of an alarming terror plot was cleared for publication on Thursday, almost three weeks after a joint Shin Bet and police operation led to the arrest of two Palestinian employees of the 'Grill Express' restaurant in Ramat Gan.

The men, Eihab Abu Rial and Anas Salum, both 21-year-old residents of the West Bank city of Nablus, had planned to lace dishes served at the establishment with a powerful toxin without odor or taste, in the hopes of killing as many patrons as possible.

The two did not have working permits and were residing in Israel illegally. While in Nablus, they had been recruited to the al-Aqsa Martyr's Bridges, the military wing of Fatah, under the guidance and funding of Hizbullah.

The men were arrested by police investigators following information obtained by the Shin Bet, several short days before they planned to carry out the attack.

In their questioning the men told interrogators they were to receive the poison from two operatives in the Balata refugee camp in Nablus – Husseini Salag and Hani Quabi – who are still wanted by security forces.

The white substance is virtually undetectable and affects its victims approximately four hours after being ingested.

Anti-Semitic Obama Supporter Attacks Jewish Philanthropist

Daphna Ziman is a Jewish philanthropist in Los Angles. Her work with the African American community is well known. Last night, she was supposed to be honored. Instead she was subjected to a vicious Jew-hating diatribe by a supporter of Barack Obama. It's no secret: the black community is riddled with Jew-hatred. And with so many apologists for Jeremiah Wright on the left and in the Jewish community, well, Jew-hatred has found a comfortable home not just in the black community but in the Democratic party.

Hi,

I have to tell you of an experience I had last night that was so anti-Semitic and frightening:

Last night I was honored by Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, for my work with Children Uniting nations with African American children who are living out of home care. I have dedicated my life to saving these children from abuse, neglect and a life of crime. We created 'adoption day' and "Day of the Child" determined to recruit caring adults to be mentors and life savers for our at risk children in the inner cities.

The Mayor was present and City Council member Bernard Parks, assemblyman Mike Davis, Senator Mark Ridely Thomas etc. I was introduced as a children advocate and a leader in the Jewish community. I began my speech by talking about how I woke up in the morning and listened to Hillary Clinton's speech, in the spirit of Dr. King from Memphis, that moved me so deeply. I expressed to the crowd how grateful I was to listen to Sen. McCain apologize to the community for mistakes he has made in the past. I acknowledged Sen. Obama's speech from the campaign trail about Dr. King's mentorship.

After I spoke and thanked the fraternity and their members, Rev. Eric Lee, pres. and CEO of Southern Christian Leadership Conference of greater Los Angeles, was introduced as the key note speaker.

He began his speech by thanking Jesus for Obama, who is going to be the leader of the world. He continued by referring to other leaders Like Dr. King, being that this was the moment of celebrating Dr. King's spirit on the anniversary of his death, and Malcolm X.

It was right after the mention of Malcolm X that he looked right at me and started talking about the African American children who are suffering because of the “JEWS” that have featured them as rapists and murderers. He spoke of a Jewish Rabbi, and then corrected himself to say "What other kind of Rabbis are there, but “JEWS”. He told how this Rabbi came to him to say that he would like to bring the AA community and the Jewish community together. “NO, NO, NO,!!!!” he shouted into the crowd, we are not going to come together. “The Jews have made money on us in the music business and we are the entertainers, and they are economically enslaving us.”

He continued as to how now the salvation has come and the gates have open for African Americans to come together behind Barack Obama, because now is the time to show them (meaning the Jews).

He continued to speak about “White supremacy” vs. the talents and visionaries in the core of African Americans. He demeaned being given freedom, by saying “To what?” to a country that kills women and children.

I could no longer be polite and sit in front of the crowd, so I walked out.

Members of the fraternity ran after me as did my staff, I was not able to contain my tears and I cried. I cried for me and my family, who have tried so hard to help the African American community, because we adopted children from the same realities and wanted to give back to other children and people. We have been completely color blind, for us it was only helping those children in need.

To Destroy Gaza

Hamas marches in Gaza reminding citizens of their duty to kill Jews.

Two Jews, Oleg Lipson 37, and Lev Cerniak 55, were murdered by Palestinian terrorists in Nahal Oz.

What were these Jews doing?

What was their crime?

They were providing fuel to the citizens of Gaza.

Who were the terrorists who committed this deed?

Three terror groups claim responsibility: Islamic Jihad, the Popular Resistance Committees and Fatah's Mujahideen Brigades.

Fatah, by the way, for those who are slow on the uptake, is the, ahem, moderate terrorist group with whom PM Olmert is negotiating, in fact, secretly negotiating, and gee, on a fast-track to divide Jerusalem and G-d knows what else he and Foreign (very foreign) Minister Livni have given away to this genocidal organization.

Seraphic Secret has long maintained that supplying energy to those who have vowed to wipe Israel off the face of the earth is suicidal.

The choice is clear: it's either the citizens of Israel or the citizens of Gaza.

I choose the citizens of Israel.

The barbarians in Gaza have made the choice for me.

And by the way, so have the savages in the U.N.

If the government of Israel does not act, it's time to replace this odious government.

Now, with this murderous attack, the terrorists have brought home the terrible paradox of supplying energy to those who have vowed to murder every Jew on the face of the earth.

Carter to Hug Hamas

It comes as no surprise that Former President Jimmy Carter is planning to travel to Syria to meet with senior Hamas leader Khalid Mash'al, probably on April 18.

Carter, best friend to dictators everywhere, will achieve two important benchmarks with this meeting.

1. He will bestow legitimacy on a Jew-hating and genocidal organization.
2. This visit will increase petro donations to the Carter library.

It should be kept in mind that the Hamas covenant calls for the annihilation of the state of Israel. Major parts of the charter are based on the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. It also calls for a caliphite to rule the world.

I suppose Carter expects to moderate Mash'al's “militant” views. Or maybe they'll just sit around discussing the vast Jewish lobby that controls American foreign policy.

Khalid Mash'al has been on Israel's hit list for many years. He's the definition of a terrorist, a war criminal. Former President Jimmy Carter not only enables Jew-haters and terrorists, he props ups tyrannies that would murder every Jew on the face of the earth.

It's interesting to note the similarities between Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter. Both advocate talking to our enemies without preconditions. Just the other day, Barack Obama, sounding like a replay of Carter, called for a “diplomatic surge that includes Iran.”

In truth, Iran becomes more dangerous every single day.

But Barack Obama, like all donkey appeasers, figures that just making nice to jihadist Jew-haters will, y'know, charm them into being good neighbors. As if that's ever happened. Hey, Obama's Pastor certainly never moderated his views on Jews or Israel. Not in 20 years. But then, as far as we know, Obama never even tried to talk some sense into his good Pastor. Nope, Barack Obama just sat there for 20-years, with his wife and children, nodded his head and responded, “Amen brother.”

I will say it right now: Jews who vote for Obama are either suicidal, stupid, or hey, delusional, which is pretty much the definition of a Jewish Democrat these days.

This notion of Iran as a partner to stabilize Iraq is not merely gullible, but dangerous. Persia seeks hegemony over that region of the world. Persia, from 1980 to 1988 fought a bloody war with Iraq in which a million men were slaughtered. Now Persia sees her chance to annihilate her blood enemy and absorb that country as a province, and snatch Iraq's vast oil fields as a grand prize.

Obama, when speaking to General David Patraeus, sounded not just like an appeaser and a defeatist, but quite frankly, he was way over his head.

Never forget that Jimmy Carter lost Iran. Never forget that Jimmy Carter helped usher in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

It appears that Barack Obama is determined to lose Iraq and perhaps throw Israel into the bargain.

It's quite clear that Barack Obama is a replay of Jimmy Carter.

Oh, and guess which Democratic candidate Carter is backing in the primaries?

Hillary Clinton, John McCain and Barack Obama to speak out in opposition to former President Jimmy Carter's possible plans to visit with Hamas terror chief Khaled Meshal in Syria. As reported by FOX News, the Arabic-language newspaper Al-Hayat reported Tuesday that Carter is planning a trip to Syria in mid-April and will be meeting with Meshal.

"It is unacceptable that a former American president would choose to dignify and legitimize Hamas leader Khaled Meshal with a visit. Hamas is a designated terrorist organization that denies Israel's right to exist, kidnaps Israeli soldiers, fires rockets on Israeli towns, is responsible for the deaths of American citizens and celebrated in the streets of Gaza after the September 11 terrorist attacks. Meshal has even called Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad 'courageous' for denying the Holocaust," said RJC Executive Director Matt Brooks.

"As presidential contenders who have pledged to protect America and stand with our ally, Israel, we urge Senators Clinton, McCain and Obama to speak out forcefully against former President Carter's possible meeting with Khaled Meshal and to ask him not to have this meeting," said Brooks.

Al Qaeda on Iraq

I've just been listening to Barack Obama question General Petraeus about Iraq. Obama says that if America were to withdraw from Iraq, things might get “messy.”

Really?

I would think that the word genocidal would be more appropriate.

The contrast between Obama and General David Patraeus is stark. General Patraeus has spent his entire adult life honorably serving and defending this country. Barack Obama is the slick creature of George Soros and his vile moveon.org and their legion of Jew-haters.

Let's keep in mind that Barack Obama has been in the Senate less time than the five-and-a-half years John McCain was imprisoned in the Hanoi Hilton being tortured by the North Viet Namese Communists.

The thought of Barack Obama as Commander-in-Chief of General David Patraeus and men of his ilk is, to say the least, frightening.

But listen, don't take my word for how disastrous an American withdrawal from Iraq would be, let's hear from the jihadists themselves—who are salivating at the idea of an American surrender.

No wonder the Arabs in Gaza are all for Obama.

Ayman al Zawahiri is al Qaedas’s second in command. He gave an interview to al Sahab in December, 2007, and, most recently, answered written questions in a kind of jihadi talk radio show. Both provide a wealth of information and insight into the mind of a man who is in equal measure a religious fanatic and psychopath.

I've been going through Zawahiri's most recent communiques as time has allowed over the past week. They are worthwhile for spelling out the goals and intentions of al Qaeda, as well as for giving a window into the logic of a true Salafist:

1. Iraq remains al Qaeda’s central front:

As-Sahab: And what is the most important field in which this Mujahid vanguard is wrestling with the enemies of Islam?

Zawahiri: Iraq is the most important of these fields.

2. One of the points I have repeatedly made is that pulling out of Iraq would have dire long term consequences for our ability to conduct foreign policy and gather allies, particularly among nations threatened by radicals. Zawahiri thinks so too. He fully expects the U.S. to retreat from Iraq, repeatedly referring to Vietnam. He later explains that he forsees al Qaeda reasserting itself after America leaves Iraq and that the Anbar Awakening cannot keep al Qaeda out of Iraq without American support:

Zawahiri: And I also call on all Muslims to stop supporting the armed groups which have cooperated with the Americans against the Muslims and mujahideen. And I warn those individuals from among the armed factions who have been involved in cooperating with the occupation against the mujahideen that history is recording everything, and that they will lose both their religion and life, and that the Americans will soon be departing - Allah permitting - and won't keep defending them forever. And let them look at the fate of America's agents in Vietnam and the fate of the Shah of Iran, and intelligent is he who learns from other's mistakes.

That is why those who conspire against the Jihad and Mujahideen in Lebanon with American weapons, Zionist collusion and Saudi money must know that they are digging their graves with their own hands, and that the Americans and Jews will not defend them, because they are looking for those who will defend them, and whoever doubts this should remember Vietnam and look at Iraq and Afghanistan."
