Can Climate Models Predict Climate Change?

The phrase climate change is leftist speak for… the weather. As in: “Everyone talks about the weather but no one does anything about it.”

This latest leftist hysteria is an elaborate ruse to grow government and impose mountains of new regulations and ever heavier taxes on the American people.

Does anyone remember Paul Ehrlich’s 1968 “Population Bomb” hysteria?

All of Ehrlich’s doomsday prediction proved false. The world is not in the grip of mass starvation because of overpopulation. But Ehrlich was on every talk show,  the subject of thousands of articles, a dopey doomsday prophet of the left.

The latest global freezing/global warming—of course they finally settled on climate change—is just more nonsense.

Predicting climate temperatures isn’t science — it’s science fiction. Emeritus Professor of Physics at Princeton University Will Happer explains.

Comment Rules

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

  1. No profanity.
  2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

When our ice age ended 10,000 years ago or so, we had “global warming”.

So it is nothing new 😉

BTW, my inner pedant decries the sloppiness of the blurb beneath the title.
“While you are reading these words, four people will have died of starvation, most of them children.”
Most of them? “Most” of four can only be three. So why not say “three of them children”? If you’re making up numbers anyway, you might as well give the illusion of precision.

    Short answer: No.
    Long answer. No.

Vaguely remember the book. Never took it seriously. These people are cracked.

Sure I remember the book. It was referenced by professors in college, quoted in magazines, and used by anti Viet Nam War extremists as the one positive side effect of that war, namely, population control. We’ve been freezing due to below average temperatures all this winter in the Northeast so perhaps Global Warming decided to take off this winter and bother another globe. If we unofficially usher in this summer on a warmer than average Memorial Day Weekend, what better proof than that will there be that Global Warming is back from its winter vacation?! 🙂

I don’t remember the 1968 book (having not been born yet) but I do remember the news magazines in the 70’s predicting ‘global freezing’ so I was able to confidently ignore the warming hysteria.
