Google believes in diversity… but only if the diversity heads left.
James Damore, a Google engineer, went Jerry Maguire: He pumped out a cultural memo and distributed it in-house. In his memo, he argued (among other points) that Google was an ideological echo chamber and that men and women were different. Eventually, the memo was leaked. Since then, the left has gone full medieval church on Damore, describing the memo as “anti-diversity.”
In short, the left has found Damore guilty of heresy. Google says that the memo is “not okay,” which is postmodern speak for “Burn the witch!”
