Historically, Democrats supported strong borders because they knew American workers could never compete with illegal immigrants. Now, they regularly support “open borders.” So why the drastic change? Tucker Carlson, host of Tucker Carlson Tonight, explains.
The common narrative today is that after decades of globalism, hard-hearted Americans now seek to close the nation’s borders to new immigrants. But the truth is that the United States maintains the most generous immigration policies in the world. However, as CRTV host and author of “Invasion” and “Sold Out” Michelle Malkin explains, a few ill-conceived immigration policies are threatening to destroy the American Dream for Americans and aspiring Americans alike.
Last Sunday, my friend Daniel Greenfield delivered a brilliant speech to the South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention.
Daniel explains that no matter how many elections Republicans win, the Democrats, which is to say the radical left, always nullify the election by waging a ruthless a culture war that is a toxic mix of Orwellian Newspeak, and Bolshevik ruthlessness.
As the late great Andrew Breitbart said: “Politics is downstream from culture.”
Daniel is one of the smartest people I know. Thus, I hope that you will take the time to watch this video, or if you prefer, read the transcript below.
Obama’s hour-long press conference at the G20 yesterday was disgraceful and embarrassing. He was acidly dismissive of any critique of his failed policies. Famously thin-skinned, he scolded normally compliant reporters who dared probe his tired verbal gymnastics.
Obama characterized the Paris massacre as a “setback” for his policy of containment — a policy that he, astonishingly, claims is working.
An discussion/argument I keep hearing goes like this:
Obama is a hardcore leftist, thus all his failed policies fail on purpose in order to sow chaos and create an emergency that, according to Obama—and every two-bit banana republic El Presidente—demands forceful action. In short: what seems to be managerial ineptitude is a cover for further power grabs.
The other side of the argument is that Obama and his army of bureaucrats are in over their heads, a Praetorian guard of Marxist ideologues who wallow in classroom theory, but have zero experience in the real world of cause and effect.
This either/or argument misses the larger truth.
