Rising at 4 to take my daily three mile walk, I spend a fair amount of time reviewing in my head current events, and deciding what to blog about.
Iran’s march to becoming a nuclear power is frequently at the top of my list. Iran is the world’s greatest exporter of Islamic terrorism. They have been killing Americans ever since the Islamic revolution and they continue to imprison innocent Americans on trumped-up charges of spying. The Jews of Iran have been fleeing at a steady rate for decades. And of course, the Iranians have told the world that the annihilation of Israel is non-negotiable — which doesn’t bother Barack Obama in the least.
Obama will sign anything with the Iranians. That much is clear. He’s looking for his peace-in-our-time moment, unaware of its grim irony because, as any self-infatuated adolescent, he sees himself as operating outside of history.
As Trotsky said, “You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you.”
Anyhoo. I’ve decided not to write about Iran—okay, maybe just a little—nor about the war on police being waged by the media and shameless race hustlers.
Instead, time for news about a new John Wayne Museum opening in… Iowa. Of course, John Wayne was raised in California, but there is no denying that he was born in the small town of Winterset.
