Months ago, Seraphic Secret predicted—not a hard call if you have some common sense—that the so-called Arab spring would end up as a launching pad for the Jew-hating, genocidal yearning Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
We were assured by El Presidente Obama that it was young people—slick rhetorical trick whereby “young” confers legitimacy—who are in the vanguard of these Arab revolutions and gee, it’ll turn out just swell.
Of course, as with all his foreign policy initiatives, Obama and his comfortable media elite enablers got it completely wrong.
First of all, it was not young people who first rose up, but one man, Mohamed Bouazizi, 26, an impoverished Tunisian fruit vendor in the city of Sidi Bouzid, who was humiliated when Faida Hamdy, a 45-year-old female municipal inspector, moved to confiscate his cart and scales and, when he resisted, slapped him in the face.
So great was Bouazizi’s despair and shame that, a few hours later, he doused himself in paint thinner and set himself on fire; the unique intersection of a desire for economic freedom and the shame-honor culture that permeates the Arab Muslim world.
The subsequent ripples of protest in the Arab Muslim world were quickly and efficiently coopted by the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist gangs.
There is, no doubt, a desire for freedom in the Arab Muslim world. But those seeking Western style freedoms are viewed as heretics by the Islamists who are, by far, the best organized and well-financed political groups in the Arab Muslim world.
Enter Barack Obama—sigh—again.
Indeed, his affection for the Muslim Brotherhood is undeniable.
And because Obama exists in something of an ideological coma it seems only natural for the smartest POTUS ever—Ralph Waldo Emerson said: “Character is higher than intellect”—to sell offensive weapons to Egypt at a time when the country is teetering on the edge of chaos, at a time when its main cities lack adequate sewage—huge swaths of Cairo smell like an open sewer because they are open sewers—at a time when feeding its vast population is a grave problem, and at a time when the Muslim Brotherhood is poised to rule the country.
Yup, now’s the perfect time to sell Egypt advanced weaponry.
Or maybe this is more—G-d preserve us—Obamanomics: Sell out Israel and America’s staggering national debt will, y’know, vanish.
