Ten years ago, it was unlikely that you knew someone who identified as transgender. Today, it’s unlikely that you don’t know someone who identifies as transgender. This is especially true of teenage girls. Abigail Shrier analyzes this disturbing trend and its implications
Just when you thought popular culture couldn’t get any more stupid and depraved the overbred, overeducated elites find another norm to burn down.
And now this includes grooming children to become prostitutes.
From the Washington Examiner:
Teen Vogue wants you to know that when you grow up, you can be anything you want to be — even a prostitute.
Imagine your daughter scrolling through an article from a teen website and coming across this line: “I am a doctor, an expert in sexual health, but when you think about it, aren’t I a sex worker? And in some ways, aren’t we all?”
The perennially misfiring Teen Vogue is facing controversy again this week, this time for publishing an article titled, “Why Sex Work Is Real Work.” In it, a doctor argues not only that prostitution should be legalized, but also that it’s just like any other career. Author Tlaleng Mofokeng writes:
Yesterday, Barack Obama commuted Bradley Manning’s 35 year sentence for disclosing the largest cache of classified military secrets in American history. So serious and far reaching was Manning’s treason that prosecutors were contemplating the death penalty. But Manning pleaded down and death was no longer an option.
Most pundits are baffled by Obama’s commutation of Manning’s sentence.
I think it’s fairly obvious.
The opening credits to the Ben Casey TV series (1961-1966) were the only opening credits that my friends and I noticed and talked about. We were tweener Yeshiva students, enthusiastically devouring the fruits of popular culture even as were were steeped in Torah. We didn’t analyze our response to the Ben Casey credits. Our reaction was visceral. But the lifecycle so elegantly laid out on a classroom chalk board carried a powerful message that was simple but not simplistic. We understood that man, woman, birth, death, infinity, reflected the truth of the world.
The Ben Casey credits would never make it to network or cable TV now. It would be labeled hate speech.
Indeed, we have come to a point in American culture where the Democrat party self-righteously propagandizes against normative behavior in favor of tragic sexual deviancies.
