Last time I looked at MSNBC, their ratings indicated that maybe ten people were tuning in on a nightly basis, all of them related to the frothing Keith Olberman and the attractive but extremely dopey Contessa Brewer.
Here, in a radio interview, La Contessa, uber-liberal, uber PC, ignorant of history, past and present, confesses that she really hoped that the Times Square terrorist was not Muslim because that would feed into all sorts of prejudices. She goes on to ramble about right wing militias, who, last time I looked, do not, like radical Islam, rule any countries—note: Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Yemen, Sudan, Gaza, Iran, etc.— and who are deeply penetrated by Federal agents.
You can laugh at Brewer, but she represents the delusional, liberal fantasy world that refuses to recognize that Islamist terrorism is on the march in the name of, um, Islam.
And if you need proof that fabulously wealthy people can be just as stupid as anyone else, here’s N.Y. Mayor Michael Bloomberg warning New Yorkers against engaging in any backlash against Muslims in the aftermath of the attempted Times Square bombing:
Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the arrest should not be used as an excuse for anti-Muslim actions. “We will not tolerate any bias or backlash against Pakistani or Muslim New Yorkers,” he said.
Words of wisdom from the man who assumed that the Times Square terrorist was “somebody with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health care bill or something.”
Let’s see, since 9-11, there has not been one riot or act of violence against Muslims in America. In fact, America elected Barack Hussein Obama as President. I’m not saying that Obama is Muslim. He’s not. His religion is, er, narcissism. But Hussein is a Muslim name and Americans did not hold that against him.
Bloomberg and Brewer are in denial, as are most liberals.
Salafist Islam is at war with Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, the West. The liberal mind refuses to recognize this existential threat and retreats to what they know best: moral preening and displays of earnest self-righteousness.
