Last week, on Thursday, Barack Obama told Chris Matthews that the blame for the disastrous Obamacare rollout is the fault of:
- Washington gridlock
And then the President of the United States dropped a bombshell:
“The challenge, I think, that we have going forward is not so much my personal management style or particular issues around White House organization. It actually has to do with what I referred to earlier, which is we have these big agencies, some of which are outdated, some of which are not designed properly. . . . The White House is just a tiny part of what is a huge, widespread organization with increasingly complex tasks in a complex world.”
English translation: Big government is the problem.
Seriously, you cannot make this stuff up. The man whose entire political life is dedicated to the notion that big government is more efficient and more compassionate than the free market is saying that the cause of ObamaCare’s failure is the reason it exists.
But wait a minute.
This the man who told us that “the government is us.”
So, in reality the problem with ObamaCare is… the American people.
Glad we got that straightened out.
And then on Sunday, Ezekiel Emanuel, one of the chief architects of ObamaCare, delivered two nuggets of Orwellian doublespeak to Chris Wallace. E.E. argued the administration has been too caught up with fixing the dysfunctional website to launch a proper ObamaCare PR campaign.
“No one has launched a big PR campaign to get these people signed up because of the problems with the federal website. We are about to launch a big PR campaign, and that, I think, is going to persuade a lot of people to sign up.”
Nonsense. The American people have been bombarded with ObamaCare propaganda for over three years. And the more we know about it, the more we hate it. In fact, the only people who love Obamacare are the elites, people like Emanuel Ezekiel, who will never be forced to sign up for Obamacare’s high costs, substandard medical plans, and endless indignities.
On top of this nugget E.E. claimed that being forced to pay more for your doctor is a “choice” Obamacare gives you.
Here’s part of the exchange between Wallace and E.E.
“Well, if you lose your doctor or lose your hospital—”
“Let me just say something,” said Emanuel. “People are going to have a choice as to whether they want to pay a certain amount for a selective network or pay more for a broader network.”
“Which will mean your premiums will probably go up.”
“They get that choice. That’s a choice they always made.”
“Which means your premium may go up over what you were paying so that, in other words—”
“No one guaranteed you that your premium wouldn’t increase. Premiums have been going up.”
“The president guaranteed me I could keep my doctor,” said Wallace.
“And if you want to, you can pay for it,” said Emanuel.
Let’s review: ObamaCare is a disaster because of big government, the American people, and an absence of positive propaganda. And by not having a choice due to Obamacare, you will have a choice.
This is worthy of the propaganda pumped out by North Korea.
