Democrats claim to be delighted that Romney has chosen Paul Ryan as his running mate. The attack dogs of the left are already trying to paint Ryan as some kind of radical who will “end Medicare as we know it.”
Considering that Medicare, according to the CBO, will implode in 12 years—maybe sooner—this is an odd line of attack. Even more so when you consider that Obama is actually the man who is destroying Medicare when he looted 716 billion dollars from the Medicare fund in order to finance the ruinous Obamacare.
The government can’t even run AMTRAK or the Post Office. How does anyone expect the Feds to run a national health system?
The truth is Medicare must be reformed, and Ryan is the man with a plan. Which is more than you can say for the Obama and the Democrats who stand for the status quo, AKA fiscal suicide, by kicking the can down the road.
This country is in trouble. Ryan is a serious reformer who is articulate about taxes, the national debt and budget. When he debates VP Biden it will be a blood bath because Joe is, let’s face it, not too bright. Word is that Obama avoids Ryan because Zero realizes that Paul Ryan actually knows and understands fiscal issues that Barry should know but, obviously, does not.
Oh, and have we mentioned Ryan’s boyish good looks?
As the wife of a prominent movie producer remarked to yours truly after the Ryan announcement: “Romney and Ryan: now that is one attractive ticket.”
Perhaps not the most politically in-depth analysis we have heard, but certainly one that should not be dismissed in an age where image carries so much weight.
Meanwhile, let’s hear from the bunker:

thanks for the compliment, Robert. And, yes, I understand that I didn’t build my medical practice; someone else did that for me. I didn’t take night and weekend on-call duty for the past 30 years; someone else did that for me…

Yes, Robert, Obama et al will wage class warfare and Mediscare to the bitter end. The adaptation of the Hitler “Downfall” video clip is brilliant. Did the great screenwriter, Robert Avrech, write the text?

Dr. Dan:
As one of LA’s finest physicians, you, more than most, understand the disaster that is Obamacare.
I had nothing to do with the very funny Downfall clip. BUt as we all know, those who did did not make it. Somebody else made that:-)

Watching the Democrats run around like they’ve been handed the greatest political gift ever, I can only paraphrase Shakespeare – me thinks they cheer too much. The Democrats are like icebergs – the part you see is what they want you to think but they are mostly scrambling to get their slimy tactics to work.

Check out this YouTube video – Ryan vs Obama

On Downfall it is too bad the producers and Bruno Ganz can’t receive a royalty every time they are portrayed – I am seeing this in everything from BMW parodies to…… Paul Ryan. Literally dozens.
it is an excellent movie BTW.

Bill:
I have seen the Ryan-Obama video and it is obvious that Obama is totally out of his depth.
The screenwriters also deserve royalties:-)

I’ve already had one colleague in my college tell me we’d better get our Federal funding ASAP, because if Romey’s elected, Paul Ryan will cut all Federal research dollars…
Btw, I love these Hitler adaptations — I’ve seen them on both the Left and the Right, but they’re so funny. What movie is this from, Robert, and who plays Hitler?
