Egypt: Another Failed Islamic State

Egypt’s version of “Ozzie and Harriet.”

Remember when Western reporters gushed about the Facebook/Twitter revolution taking place in Egypt’s Tahrir square? These credulous journalists were anxious to convince us, and themselves, that with Mubarak’s ouster — c/o Obama’s betrayal — a new, democratic Egypt was just over the horizon, whose leaders were young, hip and empowered by the new media.

The gang rape of Lara Logan, which did little to dampen Western delusions, was news for a brief moment, but that particular Islamic savagery was written off as universal male chauvinism. When more and more women were raped, beaten and abused, the Western press ignored or excused the entire issue. Much as they ignore the serial rapes of Western lefties by Palestinian terrorists in Judea and Samaria. The hatred of Jews and the Jewish state overrides all other considerations for those who identify with the international left.

Egypt, as Seraphic Secret predicted, is now a Muslim Brotherhood state, another failed Arab-Muslim state.

With all due to respect to Thomas Friedman and the other Middle East “experts” in the mainstream media, the barbarity of Egypt and the entire Arab Muslim world has never, with any degree of honesty, been hinted at.

Instruments of female genital mutilation.

Item: According to the World Health Organization, 97% of Egypt’s married women are victims of genital mutilation, and 70% of Egyptian women plan to have their daughters suffer the same fate.

Item: Over 40% of Egyptians are illiterate.

Item: Half the Egyptian population subsists on $2 a day… or less.

Item: Egypt is the world’s largest importer of wheat. And the price of wheat has doubled in the past year. We have seen food riots in Jordan. Under the Muslim Brotherhood, IslamoSocialists, continued food shortages are a certainty no matter how many billions in foreign aid America pours into that bottomless pit of dysfunction.

What will the Muslim Brotherhood, AKA the Egyptian government, do to counter their slide into unemployment, hunger, and chaos?

They will consolidate power. They will murder and expel Christians in a replay of what they did to Egyptian Jews. We have already seen the first steps in a purge of the army. And now, under the pretext of fighting terrorists, Egypt has, in violation of its treaty with Israel, moved tanks and troops into the Sinai. The Brotherhood knows that Israel is preoccupied with the Iranian nuclear threat and confronting Egypt at this moment — especially with Obama in office — is the last thing the beleaguered Jewish state needs.

Jew-hatred in the Muslim world is a proven method of deflecting attention from their chronic internal disasters.

There is no Arab Spring: not in Egypt, not in Tunisia, Libya, Yemen — running out of water — or Syria, only more failed Arab states seeking new ways to move back in time to the glory days of the seventh century when bloodthirsty Arab armies ruled through terror, slavery, rape and pillage.
