Lara Logan surrounded by demonstrators in Tahrir Square on the night of her brutal and sustained sexual assault.
My thanks to so many readers who were concerned about Seraphic Secret’s silence since last Tuesday. I have been ill with some sort of flu or bronchial infection.
The sexual assault of journalist Lara Logan is horrifying, haunting and prophetic.
There are two issues in the Logan sexual assault which speak in a highly concentrated way to what’s happening in the Arab Muslim world.
1. Lara Logan was sexually assaulted by not one man, not two men, but by dozens. In short, this was a collectivist attack on a single, vulnerable woman. Islam, like the left, is a collectivist movement. Individuality is devalued in favor of a tribal identity. Hence, the pan-European Muslim rape gangs who view western women as deserving of rape.
2. The verbal justification for the sexual assault and torture is that Logan was a Yahud, a Jew, and, naturally, an Israeli spy. It’s worth noting that in Iraq, American soldiers are also labeled Yahud by the locals.
Logan is not Jewish, but that hardly matters to the Islamists who assaulted her. They just needed the label to justify their barbarism.
Look, when you have leftist monomaniacs like Roger Cohen and Thomas Friedman of the New York Times, and Nazi collaborator George Soros blaming Israel for all the ills of the Arab world, then it only makes sense for Arab Muslims to feel perfectly comfortable in using rape as a political weapon against Judaism. Afterall, the left has excused, justified and enabled homicide bombing against Jews so why not rape?
We have been here before.
When the Bolsheviks unleashed their murderous pogroms against the Jews there were dozens of Jewish Communists who patiently explained that “Jewish treachery” was responsible for the pogroms.
The Western left are once again blaming “Jewish treachery,” AKA Israeli policy, for the genocidal intentions of the Arab Muslim world.
Lara Logan is just the latest “Jew” who’s to blame for the murderous frenzy of an Arab Muslim lynch mob.
More details have emerged of Lara Logan’s terrifying ordeal at the hands of a frenzied mob.
The 39-year-old foreign correspondent for CBS News show 60 Minutes was separated from her film crew in Cairo on February 11 and surrounded by as many as 200 men in Tahrir Square at the height of the anti-Mubarak demonstrations.
According to one source, reported in The Sunday Times newspaper, sensitive parts of her body were covered in red marks that were originally thought to have been bite marks.
After further examination they were revealed to be from aggressive pinching.
It has also been revealed that she was stripped, punched and slapped by the crowd, which was labelling her a spy and chanting ‘Israeli’ and ‘Jew’ as they beat her.
Full story here.
Make no mistake about it, the sexual assault and torture of Lara Logan are coming attractions for the new Egypt.
As Legal Insurrection reports, the Yuppie revolution is over. The blood-thirsty Jew-haters are in the process of seizing power in Egypt.
And the indispensible Barry Rubin explains that Egypt has welcomed back its very own Ayatollah Khomeini.
Pop Quiz: What would constitute a coherent and rational American response to the events unfolding in Egypt?
Answer: Not one penny of American aid to Egypt if Islamist Caliphate parties are components of the new power structure. If the Egyptian people are determined to elevate Jew, Christian and American-haters to positions of power, then the American tax payer will cease their generous support of this backward country.
It’s that simple and that complicated.
Thank you all so much. Perfect mammogram and happy upbeat visit with surgeon. She said see you next year. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!! I know that sounds so ordinary, but to me those words were music to my ears!
Wonderful news!
Amy:
Very happy for you! It’s always nice to find good news here at Seraphic Secret. May we all share joyous times.

What a caring community I have stumbled into! Thank you all so much. Perfect mammogram and happy upbeat visit with surgeon. She said see you next year. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!! I know that sounds so ordinary, but to me those words were music to my ears!
Thank you again for support and prayers. Now you can focus on Lara Logan whose story is so heartbreaking. I hate to say but – but what was she doing there in the first place??? Still, a terrible price to pay for naivete.
Amy, you will definitely be in my prayers. G-d bless and keep you.

Mine, too.
If only the leftist media would blame the rapists as much as they blamed the Duke lacrosse team for a fabricated rape that the woman later admitted was a hoax …
Maybe they’re too busy writing their spins on defending the democratic rights of the protesters in Libya and elsewhere in the Arab world other than Egypt…
Glad you’re feeling better, Robert!
Thoughts and prayers for Amy and Lara Logan…
I think all of us who are religious, of whatever denomination, should say a prayer for Lara Logan, that she should recover in body and soul, and that she should wise up.
Dear Robert: Glad you’re feeling better.
I think all of us who are religious, of whatever denomination, should say a prayer for Lara Logan, that hse should recover in body and soul, and that she should wise up.
Do you know that some media outlets, unlike eyewitnesses, are saying that the attack stopped short of an actual rape?
Robert – so glad to see you back and to hear that you are feeling better. As to your “answer” to the pop quiz, I couldn’t agree more. Indeed, I have long advocated cutting off all support to the Palestinians for the same reasons.
Amy: Godspeed. You will be included in my prayer this evening also.
Amy, you will definitely be in my prayers. G-d bless and keep you.
I am so glad you are feeling better. I was alarmed when there were no shoes or photos on Friday but I hoped that you just thought these times were too severe for those diversions and were sticking to more serious posts. I didn’t feel like I “knew” you well enough to write and ask if anything was wrong. But you and your family were definitely in my heart and I was hoping so much that everything was ok.
As you know, I am a recent breast cancer survivor. Tomorrow is my 6 month check up and mammo. I am (mostly) staying calm but will be glad when it is behind me. I would be honored if you would include me in your prayers tonight that everything will be fine. Thank you so much.
Amy
Robert, I am glad to see you are back and hope you are well. I figured if anything serious had happened there would have been a mention on Big Hollywood.
Lara Logan was not the only female reporter that was attacked in Egypt but it is amazing that so many news organizations are reluctant to talk about something that is – wait for it – news!!! I don’t blame Logan if she doesn’t want to talk about what happened. But the suits in New York that felt the story should be downplayed or ignored should be ashamed.
The U.S. should have the same attitude the Bush administration had when Hamas took over Gaza. If the MB or any such organization gain control from the protests around the ME, we should cut them off until they grow up and act like civilized adults. Of course since Obama and Hillary both knocked Bush for not playing along with Hamas after they won an election we know that will never happen. Obama wouldn’t criticize Iran 2 years ago for goodness sake so why would anyone expect him to take a hard line against Egypt or Yemen.
First of all, you should have a refuah shalayma.
I’m not sure what is more disturbing in the news across the Middle East – the growing violence or the US President’s totally misguided response to it.
