Maayan is really growing up!
That photo of the DeSoto reminds me of the Los Angeles where I grew up. I even vaguely remember the street cars, although they were tearing them up. For me, a movie that really depicts 50s Los Angeles is Muholland Falls.
On collector items I think it is more luck than savvy. How can you tell what will become valuable? Cars are a classic example. They go up; they go down.
My wife’s DNA pattern shows some north African DNA and she had a Jewish grandmother. Were many Berbers Jewish ? How many of those watches are yours ? Guns have been a good inflation hedge I wonder about collectable watches ?
Michael:
I have no idea how many Jewish berbers there were, but I assume very few. The only watch I have featured that I own is the Perpetual from Hong Kong which cost $180.00 and is excellent.

Some watches hold and in some case increase in value like certain models by Rolex and Patek Phillippe. But you really have to know what you are doing. Long term investment in the American stock market is still the best and safest way to invest, IMHO.
I find Barbara Nichols comment interesting. I wouldn’t exactly call her (nude in the lake) photo “glamorous”. She obviously bears a resemblance to Marilyn Monroe and she died at a young age (47). Based on a quick Google search, many of her photo shoots and movie roles seemed to be “blonde bombshell” types — more sex appeal than glamour.
The photo of your grandchildren is wonderful. I didn’t realize Maayan was that much older (bigger) than the rest.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Maayan is 11 years old and has been going through a growth spurt recently.
