“Sharon is too nice. She doesn’t believe in her beauty. Once when I was very poor in Poland, I had got some beautiful shoes, and I immediately became ashamed of them. All my friends had plain, ordinary shoes, and I was embarrassed to walk in front of them. That’s how Sharon feels about her beauty. She’s as embarrassed by it.”

![On not taking your own advice: “To succeed in life means to count only on oneself, to remove oneself forever from dependency, to learn solitude, to no longer endure the disappointments inflicted by others, to no longer disperse one’s energies, to only give the gift of one’s presence after reflection, to know how to keep quiet, and to listen to what really matters, [and] to look in depth at what really is deserving.” -Brigitte Bardot, in her memoir Initiales B.B. Robert – what kind of camera do you usually use? I love my iPhone SE – there are of course digital cameras that are even better but it is “good enough” and it is always available. That is the neat thing about it.
I use my iPhone 5.
Meant to give you a like rating Robert and my thumb in the small iPhone anyway how could anyone not like your nice answer 🙂
I’m looking for a better camera myself. The one I’ve been using is a Polaroid that is over fifteen years old. They don’t even make memory cards small enough for it any more.
My wish list, aside from basic good imaging capability, is geotagging and an optional manual focus. Alas, with a budget of not more than $250, I’m probably going to have to settle for geotagging and hope the autofocus is improved over my old camera.
I remember the Tate murder like it was yesterday. 68-69; those were some crazy years in a crazy decade.
Raining on 2 – looks almost ethereal.
Grapes of Wrath – these photos and the Raining photo – and yours of the hinge – show that with a photographer’s eye to see that which everyone else ignores – can yield a timeless photo.
Very occasionally (less that I would like) I can stop and see the “mundane” things in life and marvel at their beauty or complexity.
Poor Sharon Tate. She will forever be known only as the Manson family victim. She was certainly beautiful.
I almost feel sorry for Roman Polanski.
Almost.
Interesting eclectic set of photos, and the best are the last two.
