Gangster Government: Convicted Al Qaeda Spy Weiss Rasool Works for IRS

This is perfect.

A convicted IslamoNazi is working for the IRS.

At first, Seraphic Secret was surprised, even baffled, at this startling news. But then we got over our naiveté. After all, Obama & Co. actively support the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. They forget, or perhaps do not wish to recall, that the MB is the same group of genocide-yearning IslamoNazis who assassinated Anwar Sadat and have vowed to do the same to any Arab Muslim who tries to make peace with Israel.

And of course, even as Iran is caught shipping advanced missiles to Gaza that would have blanketed every inch of Israel, Obama is making all kumbaya to the Iranian nuclear mullahs. At the same time, Obama publicly threatens Israel, using language that American leaders traditionally reserve for enemy regimes.

But now that Obama has turned the IRS into a weapon against conservatives and pro-Israel groups, it makes perfect sense that the agency that spawned gangsters like Lois “I’ll take the Fifth” Lerner should use the services of an Al-Qaida terrorist.

Welcome to Obama’s gangster government.

From PJ Media.

While IRS officials were targeting Tea Party groups for special scrutiny of their 501(c)3 tax exempt applications, the IRS also hired a policeman who had been prosecuted by the Justice Department — and convicted in federal court — of using his access to the FBI’s NCIC system to tip off a terror suspect about the bureau’s surveillance. The leak wrecked a major terror investigation.

He is still at the IRS.

Weiss Russell (he has changed his name from “Weiss Rasool,” the name under which he was convicted), is currently employed as a financial management analyst in the IRS Deputy Chief Financial Officer’s Office.

In 2008, Russell/Rasool was prosecuted for his role in tipping off Abdullah Alnoshan, a close associate of al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki and a friend of Russell’s from their mosque. According to the Justice Department’s Statement of Facts filed at the time of Russell’s indictment, Alnoshan provided license plate numbers to Russell for cars he believed were conducting surveillance on him. Russell then checked those plate numbers in the FBI’s NCIC database, which came back to a leasing company which federal prosecutors claimed would have tipped off Russell to the bureau’s surveillance.

He left a phone message for Alnoshan that the FBI intercepted.

Prosecutors also claimed that on more than a dozen instances, Russell checked his name, the names of relatives, and other friends to see if they were listed on the Violent Crime and Terrorist Offender File on NCIC without an authorized reason for doing so.

It must be a comfort—if you are a postmodern liberal fascist—to know that the IRS is in charge of enforcing Obamacare.

Comment Rules

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

  1. No profanity.
  2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

I think the IRS has become so politicized that momentum will build for its abolishment.
I wonder if the MSM would have been so quiet if the hated Bush administration had been targeting groups like People For The American Way via the IRS  – their attitude towards anything this administration does reminds me of the 3 wise monkeys.

Sorry, but abolishing the IRS is pointless without abolishing the income tax itself. So long as you have the tax there will have to be a collection agency, whatever its name. Even if you have a flat income tax there will be an agency to collect the data attesting to the income to which the flat tax applies and to collect the tax itself. The only way to eliminate the agency is to eliminate the tax.

I think Bill meant that you eliminate the agency as part of the restructuring process. By doing that, at least initially, some or most of the dead wood and corrupt officials go into ‘retirement.’ That a new agency will be formed is as you state, a given.

I meant abolishing the IRS and the entire corrupt tax code which is rife with special exemptions. You can see who had/has the money to influence Congress by looking at the tax code.
The fact that the IRS now – with its massive power is being used as a political weapon simply makes my point.
Have, say, a consumption tax, a flat-rate tax and use what is a “reformed” IRS (or its successor) as a collection agency – a lot simpler to audit sales and apply the tax owed, for example.

Do not allow a consumption tax or VAT. Murray Rothbard put it most succinctly when he called the consumption tax “a payment for permission-to-live.” His thorough overview from 1994 is at and an article by him in “Human Events” back in 1972 ( is also well worth reading. The only real solution is eliminating the income tax. Anything else, such as a flat tax, is continuing the wedge stripping the economy of productive facility. Remember, with a flat tax the percentage could be increased just as onerously.

This is fabulously interesting material. Shorthand observation: The government is merely the instrument of the electorate. It seems to be the ‘people’ we must criticize and fear.
