Class Assignment: make believe that it’s a rabbi making the notorious blood libel against Muslims.
The uproar would be instantaneous and global. There would be riots. The pages of the NY Times would be overflowing with righteous indignation.
But a blood libel against Jews is, y’know, a big yawn.
(MEMRI) — Following are excerpts from a lecture given by Egyptian cleric Salem Abu Al-Futouh, which aired on Al-Nas TV (via YouTube) on June 5, 2010.
Salem Abu Al-Futouh: Brothers and sisters, in 1114, in England, an extremely grave thing was discovered: The Jews would abduct children, slaughter them, collect the blood in a vessel, and consume it at Passover.
The Jews have two holidays: Passover and another one. What is the Passover, you ask? This holiday is a kind of. . . The Jews celebrate this holiday by eating sandwiches. . . Rather, they eat matzos. What are these matzos made of, you may ask? Concentrate now. They are made of flour and, instead of water, of blood.
A fundamental condition is that the blood be of non-Jews, and especially of Muslims and Arabs.
In 1114, they found that a Jew had abducted a little child, had slaughtered him on Passover day, had taken his blood, had used it to make a sandwich, and had given it to the rabbi to feed the Jews.
In 1250, Edward I discovered that the Zionists had committed a heinous crime. More than 90 of them abducted an English boy, slaughtered him, and made a sandwich with his blood. 18 of them were later executed, and 90 were thrown into an English jail.
This is why Edward I banished the Jews from England. The English banished these people because of the spread of usury, fornication, immorality, iniquity, disobedience, and crimes, including the abduction of children on Passover, their slaughter, and the drinking of their blood.
That’s not all. These people are blood-sucking vampires. When a Jew wants to get married, he must fetch human blood and give it to the rabbi. The rabbi takes this blood and puts an egg in it. He cooks the egg in blood, instead of water. After the egg absorbs the human blood. . . Let me just say that when there is a wedding, they gather at the rabbi’s. The rabbi puts the egg in the man’s mouth, and he takes a bite. Then he puts it in the woman’s mouth, and she also takes a bite. The egg contains human blood. These are blood-sucking vampires, brothers.
Therefore, it turned out that this crime had disappeared from England immediately after the occupation of Palestine. They stopped finding the bodies of children who were abducted and slaughtered, and then thrown outside their homes.
The Jews are known to have two holidays. The first is Purim, celebrated in March, in which there must be blood. The second holiday is the Passover. That’s why they take Palestinian children and never return them. They say that the child died in prison, but in fact, they suck his blood.

Also, I note the mullah is admitting that Jews invented sandwiches. I thought the Earl of Sandwich did this in the 18th century.

The ritual infanticide stories have certainly done the rounds. When the mega-spending monarchies of the newly powerful nation states of the 14th century started shaking down Jews, Templars and Lombards, I suppose they needed an excuse or two. Execution, torture and confiscation were needed in the days when you couldn’t just print banknotes. Even Chaucer repeated the child-murder theme in the Prioress’s Tale, though he seems to have been mocking the Prioress more than accusing Jews.
Many modern leftists would be happy to believe Jews abuse children most horribly…except Roman Polanski. At least one of their best friends is a Jew.

Multiculturalism 101: We’re okay. You stink.
If you read rationalist websites long enough, you get the same comments for similar situations, “This is irrational, it’s a double standard!”. Doh. Guess what? The Marxist PC folk don’t care.
Rationality has been taken out of the equation. This means logical argument is now an onanistic exercise. We need to understand that the intellectual sphere of politics is now closed for business – if we’re going to move beyond complaining about it on websites, then real world political action has to be engaged in.

Same double standard applies to unions. Today Jimmy Hoffa Jr. told his union goon ralliers to “take the tea party sons of bitches out!”
Imagine if someone said to take the Acorn sons of bitches out?

Such hypocrisy–these people are the embodiment of what Carl Jung said: Projections change the world into the replica of one’s unknown face. Not that Mr. Hoffa cares what this little lady says, but my message for him is (and please forgive me if I violate your terms of use, Mr. Avrech): Thomas Paine said, “If there must be trouble, let it be in my day that my child may have peace.” This armed Tea Partier is one you and your goons may not wish to mess with, Mr. Hoffa–I love my country too much to care about the likes of you. I’m not looking for a fight, but I’m certainly not afraid of one, either.

You’re right that there would be UN condemnations out the wazoo and mob attacks in Malmo and wailing about the evil Zionists from Pat Buchanan to Jesse Jackson. Dearborn would have protest marches on every street. The State Department would have every diplomat apologize to every Arab leader and every university not named Hillsdale would have seminars on the evils of Zionism.
And when I point out the double standard to liberals, they respond that Israel has a strong army and air force and they will always defend their country against the weak Arab countries. As if the only Jews that matter live in Israel and the attitudes and actions in the rest of the world are unimportant. Liberals (including liberal Jews) seem to be more comfortable when Jews are powerless victims, not just victims.

This is a foolish response. In ’73, Israel was in grave danger. It could conceivably, God forbid, happen again. Iran is a dangerous opponent, with money and people to burn.

Remember when the Mavi Marmara was boarded and liberals cried because they were just little ol’ aid workers and the Israeli military was so strong they didn’t need to hurt anyone? Or how anything Israel does is decried because it wasn’t a “proportional” response?
Liberals will never admit how close Israel came to disappearing in 1973 because that would mean they are justified in how they respond to attacks. Now if Israel had been defeated liberals would be using Jews as another group of victims that can only make it with their policies. Their new motto will be Affirmative Action for Jews – the only way they can succeed.
