Last night the mainstream far left media revealed themselves as political assassins disguised as journalists.
They were also rude, nasty, condescending, self-righteous, and ignorant.
Every question was designed to belittle every GOP candidate on the floor. They didn’t even try and be subtle. They were blunt political instruments — with well-tended hair.
This was nothing less than a political show trial, CNBC in quasi-Stalin mode. Here, on full display, were Democrat hacks making use of Orwellian language—a Democrat specialty—in a crude attempt at smearing and ultimately destroying the Republican party.

CNBC might well have self-destructed last night. Journalists rely on credibility to attract and hold an audience. Once credibility is gone, there is moral black hole. And then ratings will inevitably go down the toilet. Becky Quick, John Harwood and Carl Quintanilla are now set to join Peter Jennings and Dan Rather in the green room of nothingness.
If I were working at Fox News, I’d be a happy puppy today and move to capitalize on CNBCs shocking display of political kabuki.
Gosh, next to CNBC, CNN looks positively fair and balanced.
Even two Hollywood friends, die-hard Democrats, admitted to me that the questions posed by the CNBC trio were Democrat talking points, questions designed to wound, not to illuminate.
But Cruz, Rubio and Christie took a page from Paddy Chayefsky’s Network. They got mad and refused to take it anymore. They would not step into the traps set by the leftist moderators.
By the way, Jeb Bush did a great imitation of a leftist moderator when he attacked Marco Rubio’s Senate voting record. The attack was ineffectual and Bush might as well call it a day.
He.
Is.
Done.
As you can see in the clip above, Ted Cruz, with a photographic memory, crushed the leftist drones with his passionate and elegant response.
I don’t understand why Republicans continue to surrender to the radical left. Were the Lincoln/Douglas debates moderated by the media? Of course not. The candidates agreed on a set of rules and went at it, seven times, for hours and hours.
We should dispense with these overeducated, overbred, preening narcissists who are nothing less than Democrat operatives.
CNBC is a division of NBC Universal, which is now wholly owned by Comcast…which doesn’t only operate TV networks, of course, it also sells cable, Internet, and voice telephony services.
Evidently, the senior management of Comcast either doesn’t believe that the extreme political bias of the networks will drive away network-services customers…perhaps they don’t think people will make the connection…or the business advantages of being on the “right” political side outweigh potential subscriber losses…or they are such political true-believers that their fiduciary responsibility to shareholders doesn’t count in the mix.
I believe they are collectively indifferent to the process, whether or not there are individuals for or against the political result. And, it is probably an attitude held in common with the mass electorate. No one, other than a few intense individuals, cares. Current corporate thinking.
Learning nothing from last night’s debacle, Charlie Rose takes Marco Rubio to task this morning for pointing out Hillary’s Benghazi lie, and here’s the result:

Rubio did well there. He kept his cool. It was ridiculous the way Rose was hectoring him.
Robert – thank you for watching that (you should take up a collection with the mantra “I watch this so you don’t have to 😉 ) – Coming from CNBC I pretty much had an idea what to expect and even if I had cable, wouldn’t have bothered. But, I read today that 14 million did watch which was also good because most of them saw though the bias and nonsense.
I think most of the American public has factored in media bias.
In the clip, Cruz decimated the moderators.
I think the most egregious example of media bias was in the last Presidential cycle, when CNN’s Candy Crowley interrupting Mitt Romney and arguing with him.
I watched it. Couldn’t stop watching in fact. It was riveting.
Robert,
“I don’t understand why Republicans continue to surrender to the radical left.”, because the RINO establishment (the Washington Generals to the Democrat’s Trotters) is in on it. But, I will say this, MSM and the dems have been lying so long they have started to believe their own lies, which should make them easy targets (Cruz proves it and Trump has been exploiting it). All that is needed is the courage to refuse to play under their rules. If the young conservatives will do this, the MSM and the Dems are done. If you haven’t noticed I’ve fallen love with commas, like garlic, once you like em, you can’t get enough!
I saw the question (about “moral authority”) to Huckabee in the clips I watched, but that didn’t show the answer. I wonder what he said. The correct answer would be “only an idiot would ask a question like that. I’m not going to answer that”.
On commas: welcome! Semicolons next; colons after that.
He refused to answer, and said some nice things about Trump. Trump termed it a nasty question (as I recall). Christie then ran with it, saying that if anyone lacks moral authority to be president, it’s Obama, for his abandonment and demonization of the police. He got cheers.
“On commas: welcome! Semicolons next; colons after that.”
I’ll have to approach those two creatures with much caution, being from Texas I know they can be quite dangerous in the hands of the untrained.
Senator Cruz’ line concerning Democrat internal disagreement was priceless. “Bolsheviks versus Menshaviks!” I whooped out loud, while doing the dishes, when I heard this on the radio. My wife jumped up from the living room to see what was wrong.
Oh, pfui. Type, proof, THEN post. MenshEviks.
Yes but…
This was the absolute best “debate” ever for that very reason.
Millions of Americans who might be zombies of the Left got to see these hairdo’s crushed and humiliated.
A Great Day!
