I recently came across this photo. Let’s translate the poster behind Mara Vishniac, a young Jewish girl and the photographer’s daughter:
“The Marshal and the Corporal: Fight with Us for Peace and Equal Rights.”
“Peace and Equal Rights”
What we have here is the politics of grievance where the lure is equal rights and peace.
This sounds like the Democrat party whose obsession with equal rights (transgender bathrooms, gay marriage, the list is endless) is front and center in Hillary Clinton’s candidacy, and in the platform of the Democrat party. Of course, when Hillary and the Democrat elite push equality they do not include themselves in the equation. They are the expert technocrats who, like the Soviet Politburo, are above equality.
Do you think that Jonathan Gruber—the man who helped craft ObamaCare and cackled because the American public were stupid enough to swallow the poison pill—and his family suffer the indignities of ObamaCare? Do the Democrat members of the Senate who passed ObamaCare? Of course not. They are, in Orwell’s description, “more equal than others.”
I am not comparing the postmodern Democrat party to the Nazis or Stalin or Mao or the Castro’s or the Kims of North Korea, societies that promise equality and peace. But what I am saying is that the notion of equality of outcome and the utopian promise of peace is a perversion of language, a mass delusion which leads, inevitably to the endless growth of a government whose powers, in the end, become unlimited. This is called fascism.
And the postmodern Democrat party is, ultimately, a fascist movement.
