Ma’ayan Ariel: Mind Over Matter

IMG_1490.jpg

Karen and I spent the first days of Succot with Offspring #2, her wonderful husband, and our grandaughter Ma’ayan Ariel.

As you can see, Ma’ayan is dragging her backpack on the ground.

Karen and I wondered: Is the bag so heavy she cannot shoulder it?

Insisted Ma’ayan, “Is wheels!”

Offspring #2 explained that some of Ma’ayan Ariel’s friends have backpacks with wheels, so this is her way of joining the crowd.

And yes, Karen is wearing new boots—Ralph Lauren, on sale at Loehmann’s—more about them on the next Friday Footwear.

Comment Rules

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

  1. No profanity.
  2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

And Karen’s boots are spectacular! I dig that purple stripe down the back. Do they make these boots for blokes?

You seen those shoes with rollers in the heels? Kids roll around my local mall in those things, wow, I wish those shoes had been around in 1975!

Ma’ayan is a very cute girl. My 8 year old daughter is named Maya, and my oldest daughter’s middle name is Arielle.

Robert – your granddaughter is a cutie – but I guess you knew that ;-) I feel as though I know Karen vicariously through her shoes ;-)

Ma’ayan is also 2.5 years old. The trick to Loehmann’s is to keep going back. Persistence pays off.

Great little minds think alike! My just-2.5 yr old son has always (even before he knew about the wheelie backpacks) dragged his nursery school backpack like this. Doesn’t hit one on the legs so much either!
Boy, Karen really hit the sales at the right time! Love those boots, but I’m stuck with trying to find some mid-calf black ones this year…
    Chag sameach!

Good one. BTW, the next post is clogging up your site, I think it is causing everything else to not post.

The wheels are in Ma’ayan’s mind. Hence, mind over matter
