Obamacare: The Lie Is The Truth

Seraphic Secret has repeatedly said that there are two inviolate laws of geopolitics.

1. Never invade Russia.

2. Obama is a liar.

As you can see Obama insisted that Obamacare is not a tax.

But middle class Americans have just been hit with one of the largest tax hikes in American history.

The Supreme Court recognizes Obama’s lie but maintains that the lie is a truth that must be enforced.

Obamacare is about 3,000 pages long. I doubt if more than three people have read the entire monstrosity. It will give birth to over two dozen federal agencies who will employ thousands of government bureaucrats—think the DMV—who will then make decisions about the health care of  you and your loved lones. In short, the state now regulates your every breath.

This is how tyrannies are established.

Comment Rules

Seraphic Secret is private property, that's right, it's an extension of our home, and as such, Karen and I have instituted two Seraphic Rules and we ask commentors to act respectfully.

  1. No profanity.
  2. No Israel bashing. We debate, we discuss, we are respectful. You know what Israel bashing is. The world is full of it. Seraphic Secret is one of the few places in the world that will not tolerate this form of anti-Semitism.

That's it. Break either of these rules and you will be banned.

Never would have guessed Roberts would play the Kennedy role.

At first glance the limitation on the Commerce clause is good but now Congress can justify bigger government by calling it a tax. I don’t think Roberts did anyone a favor.

I told my son this may be Obama’s Stalingrad. He should never have gone there because the enemy will fight harder than they would have had he lost in the SC. If the 2010 elections are any indication, a lot of people in DC are going to wish they had never heard of Obamacare much less voted for it.

      Johnny:

Roberts has provided precedent for the left to achieve a European socialist government in America. The govt. can tax any behavior by the American people. Even non-behavior is now behavior.

I believe this is Stalingrad for America unless Obama is defetaed.

I just don’t understand how conservatives let this mandate stand…

Neither conservative nor liberal, just a matter of consitutional interpretation. My view: No matter what Romney says, should he be elected, this will pretty well stand as is for a long time to come.

I have no idea what will happen with this almost 4,000 page law.

But no matter your politics you are a taxpayer and the IRS are now Obama’s stormtroopers.

One hope is since the “mandate” is now a tax, filibustering is out. So it can be repealed with a simple majority under “reconciliation”, the same way it was passed.

I am so upset that I can’t even bear to read the National Review.
This July 4 I will be reading the Declaration of Independence out loud.  I cannot imagine what those brave men would think of us now.

Karen and are feel like we’ve been kicked in the stomach.

I’ve been reading Gibbons recently and it all seems so familiar.
