Notice Sarah Palin’s lapel pin. I wear the same one on my suit.
On her Facebook page, Sarah Palin scolds Barack Hussein Obama and his radical anti-Israel administration for embracing third world tyrants and communists while attacking America’s democratic and dependable ally, Israel.
It’s all the rage among leftists—especially liberal Jews—to make fun of Sarah Palin.
These sophisticates espouse trendy post-Zionism, code for Jew-hatred, social justice, code for Socialism, and, naturally, tikkun olam, code for the dummies don’t even know the true meaning of this very specific Kabbalistic term.
Instead, Jewish liberals—almost always secular, 85% of observant Jews vote Republican—choose to worship (G-d’s so retro) the radical leftist Barack Hussein Obama who spent 20 years as a proud and faithful member of Jeremiah Wright’s anti-American, Jew-hating, Marxist church.
I learned at a very young age that the greatest enemies of the Jewish people almost always spring from Jewish wombs.
In a few weeks we will celebrate Passover where we will chant this phrase from the Haggadah:
“In every generation they rise up to annihilate us.”
The 78% of American Jews who voted for this malignant enemy of Israel have helped elevate a modern day Pharaoh to a position of supreme power.
The Obama Administration reaches out to some of the world’s worst regimes in the name of their engagement policy. America and our allies watch as sanctions are eased on Cuba. Letters are written to Iran’s mullahs only to see that regime start killing protestors in the streets of Tehran. Envoys are sent to North Korea as they continue to defy the world’s demand to give up their nuclear weapons. The Burmese military junta’s representative is allowed to travel to our nation’s capital. The President’s envoy for Sudan talks about giving that genocidal regime “gold stars,” while the President shakes hands with Venezuela’s tyrannical leader. In the midst of all this embracing of enemies, where does the Obama Administration choose to escalate a minor incident into a major diplomatic confrontation? With Iran, Cuba, Sudan, North Korea or Burma? No. With our treasured ally, Israel.
Last October, Secretary of State Clinton recognized Israel’s desire for peace in the Middle East and praised Israel’s “unprecedented” concessions for agreeing to halt settlement construction in the West Bank, a concession that did NOT include halting construction of apartments for Jews in Jerusalem. Even last week after planned construction was announced, Vice President Biden still expressed “appreciation” for the “significant” steps taken by the Israeli government to address this minor issue. Now, however, we see the Obama Administration has decided to escalate, make unilateral demands of Israel, and threaten the very foundation of the US-Israel relationship. This is quickly leading to the worst crisis in US-Israel relations in decades, and yet this did not have to happen. More importantly, it needs to stop before it spirals out of control. Vice President Biden should rein in the overheated Obama Administration rhetoric and chill the political spin masters’ fire as they visit the Sunday media shows to criticize Israel.
Once again, the Obama Administration is missing the boat on a very, very important issue. They need to go back to the basics and acknowledge Palestinian leaders have not progressed any peace process since President Obama was elected. As Israel makes concessions (and is still criticized by the Obama Administration), Arab leaders are just sitting back waiting for the White House to further pressure Israel. The Obama Administration needs to open its eyes and recognize that it is only Iran and her terrorist allies that benefit from this manufactured Israeli controversy.

The ancient Hurva Synagogue in Jerusalem, rebuilt, at last.
At this very moment, Arabs are rioting en masse in Israel.
You see, we just rebuilt the ancient and beloved Hurva Synagogue, founded in the 1700′s, and destroyed by the Jordanian Arab Muslims in 1948.
In the Jew-hating Muslim world, a synagogue is, y’know, a provocation.
The Arabs have deliberately unleashed a tsunami of violence because of the rupture—engineered by Barack Hussein Obama—between America and Israel. The Arabs understand that no matter how Israel responds to Muslim Jew-hatred, the Obama administration will blame Israel.

I’m not Jewish, but in my heart I’m Israeli.
There are few Jews in the area where I live, but all of my neighbors are also Israeli…in their hearts.
We are Conservative people here…my neighbors are gentle, generous people who know right from wrong; Left from Right, and they choose Right. Friendship is important here…we know who are our friends are and we cherish them. We stand with our friends…against the enemies of Right.
And not one of us in my neighborhood can understand why any of the Children of Israel would turn against the protector of the ancient culture that makes Jews unique in the world. An Orthodox friend says some Jews are self-destructive and ‘racially’-philosophically suicidal…If that’s so, then please suicidal ones, exit the planet; gracefully and quietly, if possible, but why must they try to bring harm to Israel and give comfort to the enemies of all humanity?
I’ve seen Israel up-close and I’ve seen Arab lands up-close…no contest…humanity resides in Israel and barbarism resides among the Arabs…If Liberal Jews had to live under Arab-Muslim tyranny for even a week they’d change their minds pretty darned fast, and instead of heaping scorn on Israel would pile praise for the Jewish Homeland at the Knesset’s door.

The liberal left are so predictable it’s funny.
They hate Palin with a passion and it’s easy to see why. She’s a decent lady with integrity and a strong love for her country.
Of course if she was a liberal and beautiful they would love her.

Robert thanks for your reply. Most American Jews do not visit Israel I know. Those that do however are not overwhelmingly lovers of Zion. If only they were. I have met and worked with a lot of them over the years, and it’s a mixed bag. Many of them only come as youngsters on the Birthright nonsense (where they don’t learn anything at all) because they get a free trip, otherwise they wouldn’t bother. They tend to behave badly and act spoilt, because they are. This Birthright nonsense is just that, a scandal in its own right – charity trip for rich American kids!! A terrible waste of money that could be spent on alleviating even in a very small way the awful poverty in Israel instead. I meet South Koreans and Columbians and Phillipinos who get here on their own steam, but God forbid Diaspora Jewish kids do.
Still one shouldn’t single out American Jews, the English language Diaspora as a whole is like-mindless, I include Canada and UK Jewry especially. And Israeli Jews, especially the eggheaded Ashkenazi ones, can be filled with self-loathing. There is sadly no shortage of them. They have far less excuse than US Jewry, to be so stupid as well.

`We debate, we discuss, we are respectful`? Sorry, I was keen to have a look at your site, but there`s no debate here, just people agreeing with one another, denouncing people they disagree with, and not being particularly respectful about it.

Appreciate your hostility to non-Jewish American Jews. However, being nasty to Jews who do visit Israel seems, at best, to be self-defeating. Most American jews never visit Israel. Thus, the ones who do are overwhelmingly lovers of Ziyon, and should be treated with ahavat Yisroel.
Gosh, I’d hate to think that on my next visit to Eretz Yisroel—this summer for my nephew Jeremy’s wedding, I’H—I’d be met with hostility by, um, you.

Thanks so much for your thoughtful and articulate comment.
Jewish American voting patterns are pretty simple:
American Jews who are not observant have replaced Judaism with liberalism/leftism. This pattern is old. The Bolsheviks were riddled with Jews who had given up Judaism. The American labor movement was and is filled with Jews who have renounced Judaism.
Observant Jews now overwhelmingly vote Republican.
One would think that Obama’s obvious anti-Zionism and comfort with Jew-haters would be kryptonite to American Jews. But race and liberal politics will always trump Israel and Jew-hatred.
I have more in common with faithful Christians than with secular American Jews, namely Judeo Christian values. Our theological differences count for less than nothing.

It’s really simple, American Jews are not really Jewish, they are Jewish in name only – they are liberals first and foremost. Israel means as much to them or rather as little to them as Jamaica and South Africa, nothing is gonna change.
Obama’s Jew-hatred is not going to see American Jews wake up, they are lost, give up on them. As an Israeli Jew I have, I only expect the worst from them and I am never surprised – a plague on their house. They worship the false god of liberalism, their golden calf. They think they are so clever and sophisticated, they are stupid know-nothings, who don’t want to have to get all upset and afraid of the future of the Jew nation, it would interfere with their pursuit of self-interest and pleasure and American Idols and reality TV and whatever other inane pursuits they busy themselves with.
From now on whenever I meet American Jews here in Israel I am distinctly unpleasant.
There is a strange metaphorical truth at work here that is chilling, since it derives from Torah. Jacob became Israel after wrestling with an angel, thus in metaphor the nation of Israel can be seen as represented by Jacob, the son of Isaac and Rebecca. So likewise Esau his brother who sold his birthright can be seen as American Jewry (the ‘big brother’ of Israeli Jewry), who have betrayed their brother Jacob/Israel, by betraying their own birthright and for what, liberalism which is worth less than a stew.
This metaphor of brother betraying brother continues of course with the story of Jacob’s sons (who are themsevels representations/symbols for the tribes of Israel), who betray out of jelously their own brother Joseph and leave him for dead.

Robert, Reagan actually won 39% of the Jewish vote in 1980 against Carter and 31% in 1984 against Mondale. That is what boggles my mind, that 45% of Jews voted even for Carter, of all the people. The last time a Republican won the majority Jewish vote was almost a hundred years ago in 1920. As you say, a more clearly articulated Republican agenda could get more Jewish votes in the next election. However, given the fact that Jews dominantly voted for Obama even after knowing about his ties and background, I am not too hopeful.

Is it just me and a few others or do most others note how Obama will completely sidestep a tough question, talk about something unrelated – and the press just lets him go?
You are right Robert in how the left has traditionally viewed Republican presidents – Of course most of them have shined with the benefit of history next to the Dems -
The more I hear Obama off script the more I think he doesn’t even have a modicum of above-average intelligence.
Note the “57 states”, (just today) how the $300 million to Landreau will help Hawaii, etc.
He seems to have a complete lack of understanding of basic economics or how business works. Or helping the economy.
On Palin – even within my family there is discord but I like her because she is fearless in saying what she believes.
Like Reagan.
I have loaned my book (her autobiography) to 3 people; all have liked it and 2 were ambivalent about her before.

Do Democratic Jews really care about Israel?
To paraphrase Eliza Doolittle, Obama is all words, words, words when it comes to supporting the only democracy in the ME. Words about Iran never getting the bomb; words about the unshakable bond between the two countries; words about the centrality of Jerusalem to the Jewish state.
Why are so many American Jews such cheap dates? I spent the last 4 months in New Orleans and could never find a single woman in the French Quarter that couldn’t see right through my sweet talking words. I trust the judgment of a clear-headed Sarah Palin over any graduate of Harvard Law School.

Reagan:
Thanks so much for the comment. Your latest post on your website about Obamacare is excellent.
It is interesting to note that Ronald Reagan garnered the largest vote form Jews ever handed to a Republican presidential candidate, something like 50%. So we can conclude—maybe—that articulating conservative ideas in a clear manner makes a difference, even with American Jews.

Her support for Israel is about the only thing I like about Palin.
Some thoughts- It’s an endless source of fascination and perplexity for me why Jews overwhelmingly and consistently vote Democrat (78% in the latest Presidential race as you mention)
However, dig deeper and the real reason becomes more intriguing. Polls consistently show that Israel is just not a big issue for many Jews in elections; no wonder they vote Democrat. In fact I was astonished to see a study which indicated that even in the 2004 election (when the Democrat was Kerry, a contender much less charismatic than Obama), 55% of Jews for whom Israel was a major issue still voted Democrat. If this was the case, one should hardly be surprised that Jews for whom Israel is not a major issue would vote Democrat in very large numbers.
Perhaps it could be due to the fact that surveys indicate that many Jews are quite liberal about gay marriage and abortion, which would explain their voting pattern; for instance 78% of Jews rejected Proposition 8 in California. Thus it’s likely these issues which are important to them in elections. Maybe that also explains one factor which has been suggested for the low Jewish Republican vote in the 2008 election; the fact that many Jewish Americans were put off by Palin’s conservative take on these matters.
The other astonishing thing I read was that Jews also were against the Iraq War in large numbers, even when many other Americans were for it.
In any case, so I guess the question really boils down to why Israel is not a major issue for so many Jewish Americans when they vote. What do you think is the reason? I personally think that they feel that Israel has some bizarre kind of responsibility to wage peace in the region, even at the expense of its own security. This is warped thinking, but it’s the only reason I can think of for possibly explaining why Israel is not a major issue for so many Jewish folks in elections.
Sorry for the extended narration, but the issue of Jewish voting patterns has really fascinated me for a long time!

Look, Dems traditionally label Republicans stupid.
Eisenhower was just a dumb soldier compared with the intellectual Adalai Stevenson.
Kennedy was another Harvard intellectual and Nixon a crude dummy.
Ford was deemed a klutz and stupid.
Reagan was the stupidest man on earth.
Bush really just a stupid Texan while Al Gore, a complete genius.
And now we have Obama, another superior uberman and all Republicans—especially Palin—are dummies.
Let them play their little games.
We’ll take back both houses and win the WH in 2012.

“… It’s all the rage among leftists—especially liberal Jews—to make fun of Sarah Palin. …”
Leftist Jews are delusional, what do you expect?!
May they have a complete and lasting recovery.
But to have the same kind of shtick from Jews on the right?!
It’s also the rage among some Republicans on the right, and some of them are Orthodox Jews who really do support Israel.
She’d be a refreshing no-nonsense tell-it-like-it-is President, and get things done, (which the post-Obama world will desperately be in need of)
The Republicans (and especially Jewish Republicans, should get their act together and be a solid wall to support her.

You figured it out. One of the most astounding things about the 2008 presidential election is that I kept asking people why Jews were voting for Obama who was known to associate with anti-Jewish clerics and was filmed at a dinner with Bill Ayers where anti-Semitic jokes were being told. If you remember, the media sat on that one.
These same Jews who were unknowingly voting for a guy who hung around with Jew-haters were also not voting for Palin because she was a Republican, and Jews tend to traditionally vote Democrat. It turns out that that Obama is anti-Israel now and Palin is pro.
I see a major demographic shift in party affiliation coming. Get this lady into the White House. She will represents pro-Israeli interests better than any other candidate out there.
